- Sandra I. Getman, 59, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 1, 2006. She was predeceased by her mother, Norma Elaine Vincent. She is survived by her husband, Richard Getman; daughters, Lori Glatvel, New Milford, Pa., and Linda Getman, Kirkwood, N.Y.; also three grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Sandra is also survived by her father, William Vincent, Country Town Apartments; four sister, Connie Schmutzler and her husband, Jerry Schmutzler, Elaine Vincent, Emma Vincent, Debbie Holbrook; and two brothers, Bill Vincent and our very special brother, Richard Vincent. Sandra was a very sweet and loving person who never complained. She lived the past five-and-half years with her sister, Connie Schmutzler, who loved caring for her. Sandra enjoyed going to restaurants and eating out. She will be sadly missed.
Services will be held at the convenience of family.

Wayne Copp
SOUTH CORNING | Wayne Copp, 76, of Copp Hill Road, Corning, NY died Friday, October 29, 2004 at home with his family at his side.
Wayne, the son of the late Raymond and Margaret (White) Copp, was born August 27, 1928 in South Corning.
Wayne and Threda (King) Copp were married May 27, 1950 at the South Corning United Methodist Church. He attended Northside High School and Corning Community College. He retired from ARCO Pipeline as a delivery supervisor and recently was Deputy Town Clerk of Corning.
Wayne was a member of the South Corning United Meth-odist Church; Royal Order of Jesters of Binghamton; Worshipful Master Painted Post Lodge 117 F&AM; Member of the Corning Painted Post Lodge #168 F&AM; Valley of Corning Consistory Chapter; Past Commander Masonic War Vets, Waverly Post; active in the Kalurah Shrine AAONMS, Binghamton; President of Southern Tier Shrine Club; Fire Commissioner for South Corning Volunteer Fire Dept.; volunteered at Corning Hospital; and a member of the Corning Hospital Medical Lions Club. He also served in the U.S. Navy from 1948 to 1950.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Threda Copp of South Corning; daughter, Roxanne (John) Edwards of Lancaster, PA; son, Richard (Brenda) Copp of Cranberry Township, PA; 4 granddaughters, Erin (Matt) Strohmier; Emily Copp, Elizabeth Copp and Eleanor Copp; sister, Sylvia Spengler; special cousin, Charles (Ruth) Clark; several nieces and nephews, and a group of very close friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Loren and Ronald Copp.
Wayne lived all of his life on Owen Street in South Corning and was happiest when surrounded by family and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and oil painting. His most recent endeavor was establishing the Copp Hill Development. One of his greatest pleasures was the friends he knew through volunteering at Corning Hospital. He also enjoyed his many club activities.
Memorials can be given to Corning Hospital, 176 Denison Parkway, Corning, NY 14830 Attention: Director of Auxiliary Services and Fund Development; or The Ameri-can Cancer Society, 1400 North Winton Road, Rochester, NY 14609; or Shriner's Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
The family will receive friends at the Acly-Stover Funeral Home, 327 E. Second St., Corning on Monday, November 1, 2004 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A Masonic service will be held at 7:15 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at the funeral home at 11:00 am with the Rev. Richard Hurd, officiating. Committal Prayers and Interment will follow at Hope Cemetery Annex, Corning.
