Andrew T. Subik, 25, of Edick Rd., Johnstown, died Thursday, Oct. 2, at home.
Born May 20, 1983, in Amsterdam, the son of Andrew and Judy Stock Subik Sr.
Andrew attended Johnstown schools and Finger Lakes Community College.
He was a contractor for his uncle's company, J & P Builders.
He was an avid skier, hiker and rock climber.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. Andrew and Mrs. Judy Subik of Johnstown; sisters, Jeanna Subik of Whitney Point, NY, Mandy Subik of Poughquag, NY, Brianna Subik of Johnstown; paternal grandparents, John and Sonia Subik; maternal grandparents, Robert and Louise Stock; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
A Mass of Christian burial will be on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church, Johnstown with Rev Kenneth Swain, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Johnstown. Calling hours will be on Monday 6-8 p.m. at the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the James A. Brennan Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Rd., Gloversville, NY 12078.

UNADILLA FORKS - Mr Byron W. Holmes, 64, of East River Rd, Town of Plainfield, died Monday at his home.
He was born at Cedarville, and attended school at Mohawk and West Winfield. He was married in 1836 to Lucille Wing. The couple have lived at their present home since 1946. He was employed by General Electric Company, Utica for 26 years, retiring a year ago. He was Protestant, and a member of the Unadilla Forks Fire Company.
Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Miss Joan Holmes, Syracuse and Miss Lois Holmes, Unadilla Forks, four sons; Stephen, Unadilla Forks; Gregory, Ilion; Philip, West Winfield and Mark, at home, also 5 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Wednesday evening 7-9 at the Wilcox Funeral Home West Winfield.

through the southern states including such places of interest as Gettysburg, Pa., Washington. D.C. and Fredericksburg, Virginia,

Jack died April 23, 2019 at the age of 89 after a brief stay at Ideal Nursing Home in Endicott where his second wife, Barbara, survives him. He was predeceased by his parents William and Dorothy Larson, his brothers Jerry and Jimmy Larson, and a son, Michael Larson. He is also survived by his first wife Gloria Lown, his sons Mark (Marguerite) Larson and Jerry Larson, his daughter Sheree (Jack) Chordas, step-son Kevin (Wendy) Balachick, daughter-in-law Kari Larson, and his sister Joy Larson. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Jack attended Binghamton North High School and joined the Navy shortly after graduation. He served proudly during the Korean conflict on board the USS Strong (DD-758). After his Naval service he worked for IBM, built and operated Whispering Pines Mobile Home Park for many years, and owned and operated The Airport Inn with his good friend, Dick Mills. Upon retirement he spent several years at his home in Florida before returning to the Triple Cities. Jack was a long time member of the Hillcrest American Legion.

Marriage Notes for Jean Claus twin and Leonard Earl Gilmore

The altar of the North Presbyterian Church was decorated with palms, rhododendron, white Gladiolus and woodwardia ferns for the wedding Saturday June 17, 1950, of Miss Jean Marie Claus to Leonard Earl Gilmore.
The two ring ceremony was performed at 2 by the Rev. William H. Willits. Mrs. Edward Arnold was organist and Mrs. Harry Barren-brugge sang "Because" and "I Love You Truly."
The bride, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence H. Claus of 1058 W. Water St., was escorted by her father.
The bridegroom is the son of Earl Gilmore of Auburn.
The bridal gown was fashioned of ivory satin and Chantilly lace, and made with a basque waist of lace over satin, high sheer neckline, long lace sleeves tapering to points over the hands. The princess skirt of satin with deep lace tunic inset formed a wide circular train. The mantilla of rosepoint lace fell from a headpiece of imported orange blossoms. The bridal bouquet was a crescent of while orchids. Starlight roses and lilies-of-the-valley.
Mrs. James V. McGinn of Rochester, twin sister of the bride, was matron-of-honor. She wore embroidered white organdy over pink taffeta styled with a high neckline, deep bertha giving an off-the-shoulder effect, fitted bodice, pink sash, and bouffant skirt. Mrs. McGinn's flowers, Goldilock roses and Marguerite daisies were fashioned into a crescent bouquet.
Miss Marjorie Williams of Elmira and Miss Carol Miller of Rochester were the attendants. Their gowns were identical to the matron-of-honor's and were worn over blue taffeta. Each carried a crescent of Pinnochio roses and Marguerite daisies.
Carl Hockaborn of Auburn served as best man for Mr. Gilmore and ushers were Miles Hanlon and Arthur Walsh, both of Auburn.
A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents from 3 to 5. For traveling through the New England States and to Saranac and Lake Placid the bride selected a white with navy accents and a corsage of orchids.
Mrs. Gilmore attended Elmira schools and graduated from the Rochester Chester Business Institute.
Her husband attended Auburn schools and also is a Rochester Institue of Technology graduate.
The couple will live in Hartford, Conn., where the bridegroom is employed by the General Electric X-ray Corp.

Carol Ann, 78, passed away on March 24, 2014 in Richardson, Texas. She passed peacefully surrounded by those that loved her most after a vigilant battle with cancer. Born in Kansas City, Carol Ann will always be remembered for her lively spirit, passion for fun, and quick wit. She had many lifelong friends whom she remained true and faithful to throughout her life. Carol Ann will be truly missed by all who knew her, most especially her family who absolutely adored her.
Carol Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William F. O'Dell. She is survived by her four children, Susan (Brent) Calvert of Camdenton, MO; Robert (Daphne) O'Dell of Cocoa Beach, FL; LeAnn (Ron) O'Dell Marchman, Key West, FL; Ross (Tracy Brawley) O'Dell of Weatherford, TX, and her two sisters, Mary (Ronald) Vaughn and Sara (Glen) Carnrick, both of South Carolina. Carol Ann also leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grand-children, and many other family members that she held close to her heart. She is also survived by her loving companion, Bob Nusser, Richardson, TX.
As per her request, there will be no formal service. Carol Ann will always be remembered for her zest and the love she gave to all those that she held near and dear in her heart.

William F. ''Bill'' O'Dell, 66, Weatherford, TX, passed away Sunday, August 29, 1999, at the home. Cremation. He graduated from Baker University, Baldwin, KS, and was a member of Zeta Chi fraternity. He was employed for 36 years in retail management at Montgomery Ward and Target. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carol Ann; two sons, Robert O'Dell and his wife, Kitty, Chandler, AZ, and Ross O'Dell, Springtown, TX; two daughters, Susan Calvert and herhusband, Brent, Osage Beach, MO, and LeAnn Arwin and her husband, Gary, Orlando, FL; seven grandchildren; and sister, Martha Manning and her husband, Carder, Raymore, MO. Bill's extended family includes Tracy Brawley, Mary Ellen and Ron Vaughn, Sara andGlen Carnrick, and cousins, nieces, nephews, and many close and loving friends.
