  Miss Marion Dwyer , daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis J. Dwyer, of 418 Fon Claire street, became the bride of Richard L. Hanson. Jr., son of Mr, and Mrs. Richard Hanson, of Tribes Hill, yesterday afternoon at 13 in the parsonage of St. Paul's Lutheran church. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Wilmer M. Zuehike, pastor of the church.
  Mrs. Anna Marie Smith, sister of the bride, was her attendant. Clifford Hyde, of Gloversville was the best man.
  The bride was attired in beige trimmed with turf tan and accessories to match. She had a corsage of yellow roses. the maid of honor wore navy blue with red accessories and a corsage of red roses.
  Following the ceremony the bridal party, immediate family and close friends were served dinner at Hotel Broadalbin. the attendants were presented with personl gifts.
  After the wedding, the newlyweds left for a short wedding trip. Upon their return they will reside on East Main street.
  Mrs. Hanson is employed by C. Dinnenbeck & Son and Mr. Hanson is employed by M. Denkert & co.

  Miss Judith A. Moran, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard R. Moran, 10 Pennsylvania Avenue, was united in marriage to George F. Hanson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Hanson of Hanson Drive, Tribes Hill, at a lawn ceremony at 1:30 Saturday afternoon at the home of the bridegroom's parents.
  Rev. Jack Millard, pastor of the Reformed Church of Fonda, performed the double ring ceremony. A bridge and archway decorated with flowers and the altar and pillars decorated with flowers and palms provided the decorations.
  Miss Carol Brownell of Massachusetts was the soloist. Songs included, "Somewhere My Love," "We've Only Just Begun," "A Time for Us," "The Lord's Prayer," and the wedding song.
   The bride who was given in marriage by her father, wore an organza gown with three dimensional venise lace edging the high rise neckline, modified illusion high rise bodice and Aline skirt. The gown had a ruffled hem and attached chapel train.
  The bride wore a matching headpiece with attached shoulder length veil and carried a bouquet of white roses, baby breaths and stephanotis.
  Miss Marie A. Hanson of Tribes Hill, sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor in a apricot organza gown with high rise waist, long sheer sleeves with ruffled cuffs and hem and white venise lace mat trimmed the waistline and neckline. She wore a matching picture hat and carried an arrangement of carnations to match the gown, daisies and baby breath.
  Two bridesmaids wore gowns similar to that of the maid of honor, but in different colors. Mrs. Mildred Moran, Tribes Hill, sister of the bridegroom, in blue and Mrs. Susan Moore of Johnstown, in green.
  Wendolyn Simonds of Tribes Hill, niece of the bridegroom, was the flower girl. She wore a crepe gown of yellow with high rise waist trimmed with green ribbon. The long sleeves had ruffled cuffs and the hem was also ruffled. Flowered lace trimmed the neckline, cuffs and hemline. She wore a matching picture hat and carried a miniature bouquet of colored carnations, daisies and baby breaths.
  Richard L. Hanson III, Tribes Hill, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Charles Moran of Tribes Hill, brother of the bride and Martin Simonds of Tribes Hill, brotherin-law of the bridegroom. Richard Moran of Tribes Hill, nephew of the bride and bridegroom, was the ringbearer.
  The mother of the bride wore a coral colored gown of polyester with sequins and had a chiffon collar that draped over her shoulders. She had white accessories and a corsage of carnations to match the gown. The mother of the bridegroom wore a turquoise gown of polyester trimmed with white and with white accessories. She
also had a matching corsage of carnations.
  After the ceremony a reception for 250 was held at the home of the bridegroom's parents with guests attending from Gloversville, Johnstown, Tribes Hill, Fonda, Fultonville, Schenectady, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Connecticut.
  After a trip to Niagara Falls, the couple will reside at Hanson Drive, Fonda Rd. For traveling the bride wore a red and white checkered pant's with matching blazer and white sleeves blouse, white accessories and a corsage of red and white roses.
  Attendants were presented gifts at a rehearsal party Friday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Hanson Sr., Tribes Hill.
  The bride is a graduate of Johnstown High School. The bridegroom is a graduate of Fonda-Fultonville Central School and is employed by Buanno Transportation Company Inc. of Fort Johnson.

  Mrs. Marilyn J. Bellinger, 86, of Canajoharie, New York, died Monday, April 24, 2017 at Palatine Nursing Home, with her family by her side. Born on May 4, 1930 in Gloversville, NY, she was the daughter of Arthur M. Fleming and Genevieve R. Hyde Fleming. She was a graduate of Canajoharie High School, Class of 1947 and Mary Mount College in Tarrytown, NY Class of 1999, with a BA in International Marketing Sales. Mrs. Bellinger worked for Beech-Nut in Canajoharie from the mid 1960’s until her retirement in 1995, working in the International Marketing Sales Department. She was a lifetime area resident that resided in Pennsylvania from 1981-1992 for work. Marilyn was a member of St. John’s & St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Canajoharie. She was a past Girl Scout Leader. She was a member of the Canajoharie Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, the Canajoharie PTA, Canajoharie AFS program, and was a literacy volunteer. Her grandson, Jeremy and sisters, Joan Swain and Lois Fleming, predeceased her. Mrs. Bellinger is survived by her 3 daughters, Debbie L. & Barry Christman of Fort Plain, NY, Cindy L. Smith of Jacksonville, FL, Amy C. Lawton of Gloversville, NY; sisters, Phyllis “Chickie” Mallery and Keith, Janice Webb, 7 grandchildren, Jessica Daniels, Catherine Daniels, Stephanie Hooker, Philip Hooker, Kellie Lawton, Shaun Lawton, Caitlin Lawton; 4 great-grandchildren, Michael, Ethan, Madison, Tressa. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 11:00am at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery.

  CANAJOHARIE - St. Marks's Lutheran Church was the scene Saturday afternoon at 2 of the wedding of Miss Marilyn Fleming, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur M. Fleming, 19 East Main Street, and Theron R. Bellinger, 17 First Street. Rev. Albert P. Schilke, pastor, performed the double ring ceremony.
  Bouquets of white gladioli were on the altar, and with palms formed the background for the ceremony. Mrs. Avery Van Slyke. organist, gave a recital during the arrival of the guests, and played the traditional wedding marches. Mrs William Johnstone, Palatine Bridge, sang. "O Promise Me." "I Love Thee" and "At Dawning."
 The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her gown of white embroidered Swiss organdy, over taffeta, was fashioned with a sweetheart neckline with embroidery edgeing, cap sleeves, and a bouffant skirt edged with embroidery. She wore elbow mitte matching her gown and a shoulder length veil of illusion caught to a shirred band of tulle with pearl trimming. Her flowers were white roses and bridal daisies in a shower bouquet with white ribbon streamers.
  Four sisters of the bride were her attendants. Miss Phyllis Fleming, as maid of honor, wore a gown of blue nylon tulle, over taffeta, with lace bodice and bolero jacket, and full ballerina length skirt of nylon tulle. Miss Lois Fleming and Miss Joan Fleming, the bridemaids, wore yellow and orchid nylon tulle and lace gowns identical to that of the maid of honor, and matching mitts. Their headdresses were bands of flowers matching their gowns, and they carried colonial bouquets of carnations of the same colors.
  Janice Fleming, who was the flower girl, wore a floor length gown of white embroidery with a bertha collar and short sleeves. She carried a basket of painted daisies, carnations and bridal daisies.
  Robert Mc Intyre. Canajoharie, was best man. C/M Jackson Findling, U.  S. Maritime Academy, King's Point, and Donald Veeder, Fultonville, nephew of the bridegroom, ushered.
   The bride's mother wore a steel gray silk shantung dress with black accessories, and a corsage of yellow gladioli. The bridegroom's mother was dressed in rose crepe, with black accessories and her corsage was yellow gladioli.
  A reception for 100 guests at Fort Rensselaer Club followed the ceremony. Summer flowers and lighted candles were used for the decorations. For their wedding trip in the New England States, the bride wore a navy blue dress with cocoa and white accessories, and a corsage of red roses.
  The bride is a graduate of CanaJoharle Central School, and attended Alfred University. She is employed as a draftsman in the aeronautics division of the General Electric Company, Schenectady. The bridegroom graduated from Canajoharie Central School in 1940 and is employed in the engineering laboratory of the General Electric. After Sept. 1, they will reside at 526 Vischer Avenue Schenectady.

  Phyllis Anne (Fleming) Mallery, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 6, 2018 at her home.
   Survivors include her husband, Keith, sister Janice Webb who resides in Charlotte, North Carolina, her son Kevin and daughter Susan.
   Phyllis, or as she was known among her friends and family, Chickie, grew up in Canajoharie, the daughter of Arthur Fleming and Genevieve Hyde Fleming. Upon graduation attended Ohio State University for a brief period before moving back to New York State where she went to work at GE as a draftsman.
   Chickie & Keith were married in April 1954 and have lived in Sharon Springs since.
  Chickie was very involved with local orgnizations activities, and became the Sharon Springs Free Library librarian for many years until she retired. Her passion was reading, gardening and certain crafts such as painting.
   In the spring there will be a burial ceremony at the Sand Flats cemetery located in Fonda, NY.


Keith Myron Mallery

  Keith Mallery, 86, of State Highway 20, Sharon Springs, New York died Tuesday April 10, 2018 at his home, following a brief illness.
  Born December 22, 1931 in Cooperstown NY, he was the son of Myron Mallery and Beatrice Ullman Mallery.
   He was a graduate of Sharon Springs Central School, class of 1951 and was a lifetime area resident.
  After being discharged from the 82nd Airborne division of the US Army, Keith joined his father working as a barber in Mallery’s barbershop in Sharon Springs. He continued working there until his illness. He also retired from the Sharon Springs School in 1992 after 37 years of service as a bus driver. Prior to his years of service in the US Army, Keith worked in the mail room at Beechnut in Canajoharie and in his youth, worked in the bathhouses “downstreet” in Sharon.
  Keith was the Town Justice in Sharon in the early 70’s and additionally held the position of Mayor of the Village of Sharon Springs in the early 80’s.
   Also he was a member of the Sharon Springs Voluntary Fire Department.
   Keith was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting & fishing, and won many awards bowling and trap shooting. In his later years he worked part time at the Clark Sports Center in Cooperstown NY and enjoyed spending his mornings there “working out.”
   He was very proud of having been a military policeman and paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne and loved telling stories of his jumps.
  Keith was married to Phyllis “Chickie” Mallery in Canajoharie NY in April 1955. She predeceased him in death on January 6, 2018. He is predeceased by his parents and in-laws as well as his son-in-law, Dan Crabill.
   Mr. Mallery is survived by his son, Kevin Mallery of Burlington, CT; daughter Susan Mallery of Sprakers NY; grandchildren Nina, Sam & Will Mallery; and his sister Inez (Bob) Parker of Huntsville, AL.
  A graveside service will be held at the Sharon Springs Cemetery, State Hwy 20, Sharon Springs NY 13459, with Military Honors.

  Miss Rosemary Hyde, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Tropia, 24 East Pine Street, and Ralph Hayner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hayner, Johnstown RD 2. were united in marriage at 2:30 Saturday afternoon.
  The ceremony was performed at Fremont Street Methodist Church by the Rev. Jesse S. Greenen a setting of seasonal flowers.
  Mrs. John H. Huizing, organist, gave a recital and played the wedding marches.
  The bride, given in marriage by her stepfather, wore a gown of white and fingertip veil attached to a headdress of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of white roses.
 The matron of honor, Mrs. Josephine Cloutior, sister of the bridegroom, wore a gown of aqua and carried red roses.
  The best man was Richard Cloutier, brother-in-law of the bridegroom.
  Mothers of the couple wore blue and white prints and a corsage of red roses.
  A reception followed the ceremony at the bride's home where the couple cut a 4-tiered wedding cake.
  Out of town guests were from New York City, Virginia, Caroga Lake and New Hampshire.
  After a wedding trip to Canada, Mr. and Mrs. Hayner will reside at 24 East Pine Street. The bride wore a summer print and corsage of orchids for traveling. The bridegroom is employed at M. Denkert & Company, Johnstown.

   The altar was decorated with mums and pompons. Miss Carol Brownell of Tribes Hill, soloist, sang "The Lords Prayer," "Because" and "O Perfect Love," accompanied at the organ by Orville Batty of Gloversville.
   The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white hand-clipped Chantilly lace gown designed with a controlled skirt with side pleats and a scalloped hemline. Her silk illusion puffed English imported veil fell from a Dior head bow. She carried a cascade bouquet of white pompons centered with a white orchid.
   Mrs. Sandra Silverstein of Liberty was matron of honor for her sister. She was attired in a maize gown and matching long-sleeved jacket with a pointed disc veil-trimmed headpiece. She carried a colonial bouquet of pompons in fall shades with yellow streamers.
   Miss Jo Ann Northover, sister of the bride, and Miss Patricia Christman, cousin of the bride, both of Johnstown, were bridesmaids. They wore mint green gowns designed with linen blend bodices and sheath crepe skirts with flowing back panels. They wore matching pointed disc headpieces with face veils. They carried bouquets of fall pompons with yellow streamers.
  James England of Johnstown, cousin of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Jack Talialatela, brother of the bridegroom, and Richard Christman, cousin of the bride, both of Johnstown.
  The mother of the bride wore a raspberry silk linen blend dress and jacket with a matching pillbox hat trimmed with veiling. She wore a corsage of white roses and miniature carnations, The mother of the bridegroom wore a beige sheath dress with matching pillbox hat and a corsage of white roses and miniature pompons.
  A reception for 150 guests was held at the Pine Tree Rifle Club in Johnstown after the ceremony with guests attending from Johnstown, Gloversville, Tribes Hill, Fort Plain, Canajoharie, Auburn, Amsterdam, Schenectady anbd Van Hornesville.
  For a tripo to the New England states, the bride wore a loden green kint 3-piece suit with matching accessories and a white orchid. The couple will reside at 11 East Montgomery Street, Johnstown.
  Attendants were presented gifts at a rehersal party Friday night at the home of the bridegroom's parents.
  The bride, a graduate of Johnstown High School and a June graduater of the Utica School of Beauty Culture, is a co-owner of Glamour House Coiffures in Gloversville. The bridegroom, a June graduate of Johnstown High School, is employed at the General Electric Company in Schenectady.
