  Dorothy Alice Howe, age 81, died Sunday, October 31, 2004 at Flagstaff Medical Center. She was born November 24, 1922 in Watertown, New York to Charles Orly and Lillian Frances Fitzgerald Timlick.
  Dorothy married Harold Edward Howe in 1939 in Watertown, New York. She lived in Yuma, Spring Valley, Parks, and most recently in Williams, Arizona for the past 40 years. Dorothy was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary.
  She loved her family.
  Dorothy is survived by her sons, Robert (Nancy) Howe, of Williams, and Jeffrey Howe, of Yuma; daughters, Billie (Mike) McDaniel, of Yuma, Deanna (Richard) Shaw, of Yuma, and Barbara Howe, of Arkansas; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Gary Timlick and Robert Timlick, both of San Jose, California; and her sister Marianne Lechuga, of Lawndale, California.
  She was preceded in death by her husband, her son Raymond Howe, one brother and one sister.
  Private services will be held at a later date.

  DEXTER — Harold Howe, 51, Yuma, Ariz., formerly of Dexter, died Thursday in Yuma. He had a heart condition.
  The funeral was in Yuma. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Dorothy (Nan) Timlick Howe; three daughters, Billie, now married , Mrs. Deanna Branche, both of Yuma, and Barbara, at home; three sons, Raymond, Yuma; Robert, in the Army in Vietnam, J.C. Howe, at home, and grandchildren.
  Born in Canada, a son of Clarence E. and Edna Riley Howe, he came to Dexter when he was young and served in the Navy in World War II. He was employed in mills in Dexter and at Sicard's in Watertown.
   Mr. and Mrs. Howe and their family left Dexter ten years ago, living in Rochester two years before going to Yuma, where he was employed as a security guard. They visited Dexter last summer.
  Mr. Howe was a member of Smith-Savage Post 583, American Legion, Dexter.

  Mary Jo "Dennis" Rave age 67 yrs. of Fonda passed away January 30, 2018 with her loving family by her side at the St. Mary's Hospital.
   She was born in Amsterdam on December 14, 1950 and is the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Mary (Robinson) Ault.
  Mary Jo is survived by her companion David F. Kruger of Fonda, and a daughter Carol J. (Jerry Jackson) Weatherwax of Erwin NC. Three brothers Joseph R. Ault of Opelika Alabama, James P. (Cathy) Ault of Fultonville, and Bob A. (Darlene) Ault of Broadalbin. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Dallas (Madison) Wolfkiel, Autumn Scott, Mark, and Giada Weatherwax.
  During her lifetime Mary Jo was a lifelong resident of Fonda, she graduated in 1968 from Fonda Fultonville High School, and in 2002 she received her Associates of Social Sciences at FMCC.
   She was employed for 27 years as an Addiction Therapist for St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam retiring in 2015. Mary Jo was also an owner operator for Dennie's Doggie Treats in Fonda.
   She was also a member of the Sew Busy Quilt Guild in Gloversville, and a member of the Fultonville Reformed Church. Some of the things Mary Jo enjoyed doing in her spare time where Quilting, Sewing, Knitting, and Crochetting.

  FORT PLAIN - Miss Mary Jo Ault, Fonda was united in marriage to Louis E. Allmendinger, St. Johnsville, at 8 Friday night at the Reformed Church of Fort Plain.
  Rev. Jack Hilbrands, pastor of that church, performed the double ring ceremony.
  The couple was attended by Mrs. Kathleen Santangelo and C. J. Settle. The couple will reside in St. Johnsville.

  Adalbert J. Denmark, 40, of Johnstown, died Sunday, July 17, at Nathan
Littauer Hospital, Gloversville, after being stricken at his home.
  Mr. Denmark was born July 13, 1948, in Gloversville, the son of Morris
Denmark and Leona Denmark Hoffman. He graduated from Fonda-Fultonville High School in 1966.
  He was employed as an assistant water plant operator by the city of Johnstown and later as the general foreman of the city’s water department. Mr. Denmark was a member of the Johnstown Moose Lodge and the state Highway Engineers Association. He also was active in area bowling leagues for many years.
  He was married to Rosemary Kulwiec on Jan. 18, 1969.
  In addition to his widow and parents, survivors include a son, John A. Denmark, Johnstown; two daughters, Marie Denmark and Rebecca Denmark, both of Johnstown; a sister, Virginia Saltsman, Fort Plain; two brothers, James Hoffman, Fonda and William Hoffman, Johnstown.
  A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, today, at the Immaculate Conception Church, Johnstown. Burial was in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours were Tuesday at the Barter and Donnan Funeral Home, Johnstown.

 - Wedding Announcement (Leader-Herlad, Gloversville - Johnstown, NY, Wednesday, October 23, 1974)
  Miss Virginia L. Hoffman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hoffman of East Main Street Extension, Johnstown RD, and Robert M. Saltsman of Fort Plain RD 2, son of Clyde Saltsman of Sharon Springs and the late Catherine Saltsman, were united in marriage at 1 Saturday afternoon in the Salem United Methodist Church, Stone Arabia.
  Rev. Gerald Boyer, uncle of the bridegroom and pastor of the Cooperstown Methodist Church, performed the double ring ceremony in a setting of white pompons, vases of gladioli and family pews marked with white bows. Organist Mrs. Lovina Hinkle of Fonda played traditional wedding music and accompanied soloist Miss Phyllis Vedder of Glen who sang "Sunrise, Sunset," "More,""Til" and "The Lord's Prayer."
  The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a full length gown of white angel mist draped over taffeta. It had a circle neckline adorned with scalloped venise lace and a ruffle of
Chantilly lace accented with clusters of pearls. The semi-Empire waist was accented with lace appliques and the gown had a fitted bodice, and long Chantilly lace sleeves ending with a deep ruffle. Her A-line skirt with deep ruffle at the hemline terminated in a cathedral length train. She wore a matching fingertip mantilla. She carried white miniature carnations and pink sweetheart roses in cascade style.
  The matron of honor, Mrs. Rosemary Denmark, sister-inlaw of the bride, of Johnstown, wore a full length regal purple and orchid gown of velvet and georgette. The velvet bodice with fitted lines was adorned with matching venise lace and long puffed sleeves. A lace cummerbund adroned the fitted waist.
  The georgette skirt had a deep ruffle at the hemline and she wore a velvet Dior bow and bouffant veil to match. She carried a colonial bouquet of miniature carnations, daisies and tinted orchids.
  The attendants, Mrs. Nancy Klock of Little Falls, sister of the bridegroom and Mrs. Cheryl Brothers of Fort Johnson wore gowns similar to the matron of honor's, and they carried similar bouquets tinted in green and pink, respectively, matching the colors of their gowns.
  Michele Klock of Little Falls, niece of the bridegroom, the flower girl, carried a flower basket of miniature carnations and daisies tinted blue. Her gown was similar to those worn by the attendants, only in blue.
   Alton Saltsman of Libertyyille, Ill., a brother of the bridegroom, was the best man. Ushers were John Klock of Little Falls, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, and Mark Saltsman of Fort Plain, cousin of the bridegroom.
  The mother of the bride wore a full-length aqua gown with a matching Dior bow. Her accessories were silver and she wore white cymbidium orchids. The stepmother of the bridegroom, Mrs. Doris Saltsman, wore an apricot colored full length gown with beige accessories and white cymbidium orchids.
  A wedding reception for 125 at Klock's Park in St. Johnsville followed the ceremony. Music was provided by the Black Velvets. Guests attended from Johnstown, Gloversville, Fort Plain, Sharon Springs, Libertyville, Ill., Saratoga, Middletown, Northville, Ames and Randall.
  For the wedding trip to the Pocono region of Pennsylvania, the bride chose a light blue dress with matching coat, brown accessories and a corsage of white miniature carnations and pink sweetheart roses.
  The attendants were presented gifts at the rehearsal party at the bridegroom's father's home in Sharon Springs Friday night.
  The bride was honored at a shower on Sept. 7 at the home of Mrs Denmark, 202 Burton Street. Hostesses were Mrs. Denmark, Mrs. Brothers and Mrs. Gerard Hunold. Another shower was given for the bride on Sept. 14 at the Salem United Methodist Church in Stone Arabia. Hostesses were Mrs. Eleanor Saltsman, Mrs. Laverna Saltsman, Mrs. Doris Saltsman, Mrs. Mildred Bollen and Mrs. Nancy Klock. A luncheon was given for the bride on Oct. 9 at the Stuft Shirt.
   The bride is a 1971 Johnstown High School graduate and is employed by Knox Gelatine Inc. in Johnstown. The bridegroom is a 1971 graduate of Fort Plain Central School and is a farm
worker.
  The couple will reside in Stone Arabia.

  Miss Carolyn L. Clute of Buffalo, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick W. Clute of 64 East Boulevard, became the bride of Kent B, Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry F. Brown of 159 South Kingsboro Avenue, at a ceremony at 7:30 Saturday night at the First United Methodist Church.
  Rev. Luther A. Patton, pastor of Fremont Street United Methodist Church, performed the double ring ceremony. Mrs. Dorothy Sawyer, organist, played selected wedding music.
  The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a candlelight silk organza A-line gown over taffeta, its fitted bodice and long, tapered sleeves adorned with re-embroidery of Alencon lace, seed pearls and clusters of hand-sewn crystal beads. A matching organza and lace Camelot headpiece held her bouffant illusion veil. She carried a Colonial bouquet of white sweetheart roses and baby's breath.
  Miss Cheryl L. Clute of Gloversville, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She and another attendant, Mrs. Pamela T. Josephson of Santa Monica, Calif., wore identical floral print brushed cotton gowns over taffesta designed with high-rise necklines, ring collars, smocked bodices trimmed with miniature buttons, long-puffed sleeves and maize velvet ribbon accenting the semi-Empire waists. The controlled skirts were designed with deep ruffling at the hemlines. They wore matching velvet ribbon down the back of their hair and carried plateau baskets of Marguerite daisies, miniature carnations and baby's breath.
  J.D. Aldrich of Johnstown was best man. Ushers were Gerald Brown, brother of the bridegroom, and Gerald Brown Jr., nephew of the bridegroom, both of Portsmouth, N.H., and Gary Houserman of Watertown, Jefferson County.
  The mother of the bride wore a romance blue georgette dress over taffeta designed with a highruffle-edged neckline, long, puffed sleeves with ruffled cuffs adorned with re-embroidery of lace and velvet ribbon, a semi-Empire bodice accented with matching lace and ribbon trim and a soft, A-line skirt. She wore matching accessories and a corsage of cymbidium orchids.
  The mother of the bridegroom wore a samarose double knit semi-fitted dress with a jeweled neckline and bracelet-length sleeves under a matching coat designed in soft, fluid lines. She wore matching accessories and a corsage of pink sweetheart roses.
  After the ceremony a reception for 85 was held at the Golden Fox Restaurant, Colonie, with Freddie Clute and his orchestra providing music. Guests attended from Gloversville, Johnstown, Buffalo, Syracuse, Rochester, California, Illinois, Florida, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
  After a trip to St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands the couple will reside at 715 Dick Road, Apartment 4, Buffalo. For traveling the bride chose a cloud blue crepe pant suit and white satin accessories.
  Attendants were presented gifts at a rehearsal dinner Friday night at Elm Tree Hall, Fort Plain, given by the parents of the bridegroom.
  The bride was honored at a bridal shower Thursday night at the Johnstown Motor Inn given by Mrs. Josephson and Mrs. Lewis Theurer. She was given an engagement party last December at her home by her sister, the maid of honor.
  The bride is a graduate of Gloversville High School and Fulton-Montgomery Community College. She attended Syracuse University where she majored in art She is employed as a stewardess by American Airlines. The bridegroom, also a graduate of the local community college, received a B.A. degree in psychology at State University at Oneonta. He recently completed six months of active duty with the Army Reserve Corps.
