St. Johnsville - Invitations have been received for the marriage of Miss Grace Nellis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adin Nellis, town of Minden, to Ogden Bellinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Bellinger, town of St Johnsville. The wedding will take place on New Year's Day at 3 P. M. in the local Lutheran church.

Miss Grace Ella Nellis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adin A. Nellis of Fort Plain, became the bride of J. Ogden Bellinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. James D. Bellinger, St. Johnsville, on New Year's Day. The ceremony was held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at St. Johnsville, Rev. Clifford Butterer, the pastor, officiating.
Palms and baskets of white and yellow pom poms were used in decoration and bows of white tulle were at the end of each pew, Mrs. [sic] Nellis gave his daughter in marriage.
The maid of honor was Miss Patricia Rickard. Bridesmaids were Miss Gladys Homkey, Miss Jeannine McMahon, Mrs. John Robert Nellis and Miss Mary Louck.
Richard Edward Bellinger was best man for his brother. Ushers were John Hoffman, Cecil Allen, Keith Handy, and Robert Johnson.
The bride wore a gown of white satin with illusion neckline and a train. Her chapel length veil of ivory net was caught to a matching juliet cap. She carried white madonna lilies, centered with a white orchid. Her only jewelry was a string of pearls.
Miss Rickard wore a gown of aqua Paris faille. She carried a colonial boquet of carnations and pompons in rainbow colors and wore matching flowers in her hair.
Miss Homkey wore dusty rose taffeta; Miss McMahon, lettuce green; Mrs. Nellis and Miss Louck, fuchsia. All attendants wore flower headpieces which matched their boquets.
Mrs. Harold Settje, a cousin of the bride, was at the organ. The soloist was Herbert Kraft, who offered "Because," "I Love You Truly." and "At Dawning."
Mrs. Nellis, the bride's mother, wore a spring rain print with winter white hat and Mrs. Bellinger, mother of the bridegroom, chose an aqua crepe dress with black hat. Their corsages were of white roses.
A reception for 150 guests was held in the Community house, after which Mr. and Mrs. Bellinger left for a wedding trip to the western part of the state. They will be at home at RD 2, St. Johnsville, after Jan. 8.
The bride attended Fort Plain high school and the bridegroom is a graduate of St. Johnsville high. He is associated with his father in conducting a farm on the Crum Creek road.

Miss Ambridge Wed To Donald Shults
PALATINE BRIDGE — Miss Frances Ambridge, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ambridge, and Donald Shults, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Shults of Fort Plain were married Saturday afternoon at St. Mark's Lutheran church, Canajoharie. Rev. Walter Krumwiede, pastor of St. John's Lutheran church, performed the double ring ceremony.
" Miss Mary Shimmer, organist; played the wedding music and Miss Marilyn Mallett, niece of the bride, sang a group of solos. Mrs. Arthur Schreppel, sister of the bride, was matron of honor and the bridesmaids were Mrs. Richard Shults, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, Miss Margaret Siaper and Miss Mary Falso. Richard Shults, brother of the bridegroom, was best man and the ushers were Robert Schreppel, Joseph Pimkowski and Calvin Coso.
After a reception at the home of the bride's parents Mr. and Mrs. Shults left for a wedding trip to Detroit, Mich. They will reside with the bride's parents after their return. Mrs. Shults attended the Canajoharle High school and is employed by the Upstate Telephone Co, Canajoharie. Mr. Shults attended the Fort Plain High school and is employed by Howard Heroth of Fort Plain.

CHERRY VALLEY, NY — Mr. Donald W. Morrison, 76, passed away Sunday, Aug. 20, 2000, at his home in Cherry Valley.
He was born Oct. 4, 1923, in Cooperstown, the son of Glenn and Geneva (McRorie) Morrison.
On July 2, 1966, he married Virginia Leneker in Campbell. She survives.
Mr. Morrison attended Edmeston and Cherry Valley Central schools, was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, serving from 1942-1945. He worked as a truck driver and bus driver for Cherry Valley school until 1985.
He was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion, Cherry Valley.
Besides his wife, Virginia Morrison of Cherry Valley; he is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Cathy Morrison of Sanford, Maine, David and Chris Morrison of Shapleigh, Maine, Donald Jr. and Colleen Morrison of N. Berwick, Maine, and James and Claire Morrison of Sanford, Maine; a daughter, Donna Mae Hupe of Shapleigh, Maine; a brother, Lester Morrison of Fly Creek; a sister, Irene Harbison of Cherry Valley; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, Glenn and Geneva Morrison, and a brother, Walter Morrison.
Cremation took place at the Leatherstocking Crematory Inc., Cherry Valley.
A graveside funeral and committal service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, at 11 a.m. in the Fort Plain Cemetery, Fort Plain, with the Rev. Ron Fralick officiating. Burial will follow.
