  BELMOND - Seabo Lamfers, 60, died Friday at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines after an illness of three months.
  Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Belmond Bible Church. Burial will be in Belmond Cemetery with military rites at the graveside. Fulton Funeral Home is in charge.
  Born Dec. 2, 1909, at Kanawha, he was the son of Ben and Abbie Hiller Lamfers. He was married March 8, 1948, at Austin to Phyllis Jean Kirkwood.

Harry Stanley Wenig

  Harry S. Wenig, 100, died on Tuesday, November 12, 2002.
  Funeral services were held at the United Church of Christ in Belmond, on Friday, November 15, with Rev. Lynne Spencer Smith officiating. Interment was in the Belmond Cemetery.
  Music was provided by Carol Severson, organist and Marilyn Janssen, soloist. Ushers were Louie Mennenga and George Hinman. Casket bearers were Rob Hill, Austin Hanson, Jeff Lamfers, Ashley Hanson, Michael Lamfers and Gene Lamfers.
  Harry S. Wenig, was born on February 28, 1902, on his parents farm in rural Hancock, County near Klemme, the son of John J. and Emma (Schoper) Wenig. He attended country school in rural Klemme. He later began his life long career as a farmer. He loved the farm and received great satisfaction from working the land. He had farmed on the family farm until 1972 when he moved to Belmond.
  Harry was united in marriage to Phyllis Lamfers on February 11, 1972, at the Evangelical Free Church in Belmond. The couple made their home in Belmond. Harry continued to farm in Klemme while living in Belmond until 1978 when he retired.
  He enjoyed playing cards, especially 500. He was an avid reader. Harry and Phyllis enjoyed traveling, and he loved to visit friends and family. Everyone who knew him well, remember him as a very patient, deep thinking, quiet man. One of Harry's favorite sayings was, "There's only one path, uphill, not downhill." He had been a resident of the Belmond Health Care Center since September 2001.
  Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Gareth "Gary" Lamfers; four sisters, Jessie Wenig, Hattie Wenig, Ada Wenig and Gladys Wenig; a brother, Oscar Wenig; and an infant brother, John Wenig.
  Survivors are his wife, Phyllis Wenig of Belmond; sons, Wayne (Petra) Lamfers of Belmond, Steven (Patty) Lamfers of Loveland, Colorado, David (Marie) Lamfers of New Orleans, Louisiana, Vern (Connie) Lamfers of Garner and James Lamfers and a special friend, Marlys Nuehring of Rowan; a daughter, Helen (David) Waters of Norwalk, California; daughter-in-law, Chris Lamfers of Wyoming, Minnesota; 16 grandchildren, Rondi, Rob, Ashley, Austin, Mike, Jeff, Jason, Jamie, Cory, Elizabeth, Melinda, Gene, Heather, Amanda, Richard and David, Jr.; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

  MARYVILLE, Mo. - G.W. Hubbard, 85, Maryville, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 1990, at a Maryville health-care center following a long illness.
   Born at Clear Lake, Iowa, he had made his home in Maryville the last five years.
  Mr. Hubbard was a retired electrician, and also was a Navy veteran.
 In 1834, he was married to the former Rhodene A. Barton in Everett, Wash. She survives of the home.
  Additional Survivors: two sons, Reuben of Hemet, Calif., and Dean of Maryville, and three daughters, Sharon Frisby of Kennewick, Wash., Janet Hernandez of Aurora, Wash. and Rhodene of Laurel, Md.

  Raymond C. Amundson, 51, 550 3rd N. E., died Tuesday at a Mason City hospital. He had lived in Mason City 16 years and was employed by the Northwestern States Portland Cemeent Company the past 10 years.
  Mr. Amundson was born Aug. 1, 1904, at Radcliffe. He lived there until he was 19 when he moved to clear Lake. He was employed by the Clear Lake Bakery and the Page and Crane Lumber Co.
  In 1940 he moved to Mason City and was employed by the Northwestern States Portland Cement Company until he becme ill in March. He was married to Avis Hubbard at Albert Lea, Minn.
  Surviving are his wife, Avis; a son Rober E. Amundson, at home; a foster daughter, Pat Haveker, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Ole Lunning, Radcliffe; Mrs. J. C. Olson, Story City; and Mrs albert Huber, Clera Lake; and three brothers, James and Burdette Amundson, Clear Lake and Laurence Amundson, Radcliffe.

  She moved to Mason City in 1927 and was employed by Ideal American Lanudry, Lyons Laundry and then with Marshall & Swift until her retirement in 1984.
  She was a member of Rolling Acres Free Methodist Church.

  Michele Allyne Hubbard, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. robert Hubbard, 303 1/2 First S. W., died late Monday at the home of her parents, after a short illness.
  She was born Feb. 26, 1949, in Mason City. Surviving are a sister, Barbara, and the grandparents, Mrs. Sydney Stott, Mason City, A. F. Hubbard, Bend, Ore., and Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Lakin, Yakima, Wash. She was a niece of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Amundson, Mason City.
  An angel mass will be said at 9 o'clock Wednesday at the Holy Family Catholic church, with the Msgr. Arthur J. Breen, pastor, officiating.
  The Rosary will be said at the Colonial funeral home at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Catholic cemetery.

  Mamorial services for robert D. Reeder, 67, of Palm Desert, will be 3 p.m. friday at Family Life Church in Rancho Mirage.
  A native of Colton, Mr. Reeder died Wednesday at Rancho Mirage Healthcare. He was a self-employed contractor and owner of Small World Clothiers in Palm Desert. He lived in Palm Desert for 20 years.
  He was a member of Ironwood Country Club, Bermuda Dunes Country Club and San Fernando Elks.
  He is survived by his wife Marilyn; three daughters and two sons, Deborah Fine of Los Angeles, Richard Reeder of Carson City, Nev., Sally Mueller of Palm Desert, Gayle White of Alta Loma, and John Reeder, of Tulsa, Okla.; and five grandchildren.
