Donald F. Cooke Sr., 74, of 1 Church St., longtime member and former president of the Philadelphia Fire Department, died at 7:27 p.m. Tuesday in the emergency room at Mercy Hospital, Watertown.
The funerl will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with Rev. Euclid Marier, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Sanford's Corners Cemetery, Calcium.
calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Frederick Bros. Funerla Home, Theresa. Memorial donations may be made to the Philadelphia Fire Department Rescue Squad.
Surfiving are his wife Patricia, three sons, Donald and Terry, both of Philadelphia, and Kenneth, Rochester; eight grandchildren; a great-grandson; a brother, Dorn, Port Leyden; teo sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Vivian) Comins, Carmichael, Calif., and Mrs. Wesley (Mary) Barrows, Indian River, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
A brother, Stanford of Port Leyden died before him.
Born in Turin June 2, 1914, a son of Robert and Anna Salmon Cooke, he was graduated from Turin High School.
He married Patricia Donnelly, Lowville, Mmay 29, 1941, in St. Peter;s Catholic Church, Lowville, with Msgr. George Murray officiating.
During World War II, Mr. cooke was employed by the Revere Brass and Copper Co., Rome. Mr. and Mrs. Cooke lived in Rome following their marriage, later returning to the Lowville area, and moving to Philadelphia in 1957, when Mr. Cooke became manager of the Philadelphia Milk Producers Co-Op.
In 1968, he became employed in the Soils Department of the New York State Department of Transportation, retiring in 1980.
He was a member of the Philadelphia Volunteer Fire Department, serving as its president and secretary/treasurer for many years.

A cap of Guipure lace with pearl and crystal trim held her bouffant veil of illusion. She carried a nosegay of yellow and white dasies.
Mis sLinda Charlton of Evans Mills was maid of honor. Mrs. Robert McConnell, Calcium, sister of the bride, and Mrs. David LaPointe were bridesmaids. Miss Susan Cooke, Philadelphia was junior bridesmaid.Wendy Cooper, Michigan, was flower girl, and Todd McConnell, Calcium, was ring bearer. Jerry Bartlett of Theresa was best men. Mrs. Cooke was graduated from Indian River Central School, Philadelphia in 1971 and attended Jefferson Vocational School of Practical Nursing.
Mr. Cooke is a 1966 graduate of Indian River Central School, served in the Army three years and is employed with Central Roofing, Syracuse.

Vivian Cook Comins, 87, of Turlock died Wednesday at Bel Air Lodge Convalescent Hospital.
Mrs. comins was a native of Turin, N.Y. She had lived in Turlock since 2002 and previously lived in M odesto four years. She owned and operated nursing homes in New York and Sacramento.
She is survived by her children, Sally Barker of Williams, Daniel Stuart comins of Glenfield, N.Y., Donna Moore of Taylorsville, N.C., Richard Comins of Redway and Betty Stewart of Denair; brother Robert Cook of Boonville, N.Y.; and 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Comis and son John Comins.
A private memorial is pending. Burial at Fair Oaks Cemetery, Fair Oaks.

Osceola, May 23.—Mr. Raymond Comins and Miss Vivian Cook were united in marriage Monday evening 8 o'clock by Mr. E. Brashee. The bridesmaid was Miss Grace Cumins and the best man Joseph Quinn, both of Osceola.
The bride was attired in a gray suit with accessories to match and her flowers were sweetpeas and roses. The bridesmaid wore blue.
Mr. and Mrs. Comins are popular among the younger set of this community. The bride is formerly of Turin where she attended school before coming to Osceola. The past winter she has been a post-graduate student in our high school, and was a member of the basket ball team.
Mr. Comins is a son of Mrs. Grace Comins and the late Daniel Comins and is one of the best liked young men of the town. He has been chef at Hogan camp the past winter.
Following the ceremony the bridal company were entertained to supper at the home of the bridegroom’s sister, Mrs. J. Hogan.
The newlyweds will be at home to their friends next Monday in Highmarket, where they will keep one of the camps for Hogan & Quinn. Here’s wishing them a long and happy wedded life.

Irma L. Cook, 60, West Main Street, Port Leyden, was pronounced dead on arrival Thursday, Nov. 14, at Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville.
The funeral was Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Callaghan Funeral Home, with Rev. John Martin, pastor of Lowville Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial was in Wildwood Cemetery, Lyons Falls.
Surviving are her husband, Jerry Dorn Cook, Sr.; three sons, Jerry. Jr., Carthage. David, New Jersey, and Brian, Lowville; four daughters, Carol Bauer, Syracuse, Nancy Ortlieb, Lowville, and Patsy and Diane Cook, both of Port Leyden; two sisters, Vera Swartout and Ella May Lee, both of Boonville; a half-brother, Clifton Van Amam, Boonville; a half-sister, Beatrice Rockwell, Dolgeville, and eight grandchildren.
Born in North Adams, Mass., on Sept. 23,1925, the daughter of Harry and Edna Smith Watson, she moved to southern Lewis County as a child and attended Lyons Falls schools. She married Jerry Dorn Cook on Feb. 26, 1946, in Forest Presbyterian Church, Lyons Falls.
She was a former member of the Lyons Falls Fire Department Auxiliary.

Dorn Cook, Lyons Falls, in the Lowville United Methodist Church, at 11 o’clock, Saturday, October 14, with Rev. Robert F. Nay, officiating at the double ring ceremony. Organist was Karen Denning, playing traditional wedding music, and special request of the couple, “Love Theme,” The altar was decorated with two large white mum plants.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a rhinestone trimmed gown of chantilly lace over ninon and nylon taffeta, fashioned with a picture neckline, deep front pleat, from the waist, and long lace sleeves, slit at the wrists. Her lace chapel train fell from the waist, and her finger-tip illusion veil was held by a rhinestone teira. Her only jewelry was an aurora borealis necklace, which completed her attire. She carried a colonial bouquet of white carnations, centered with pink.
Miss Paula Davis was maid of honor and Miss Cindy Herzig bridesmaid, Both are friends of the bride. They wore identical gowns of baby blue and orchid, swiss dotted ninon over nylon taffeta, with high banded neckline, long gathered sleeves, tight at the wrists, trimmed with ribbon, lace and embroidery They carried nosegays of pink and white, and yellow and white to contrast their gowns. J. Dorn Cook, father of the groom, was best man, and Bernard Rook and Raymond Ortlieb, Jr., friends of the groom, were ushers. A reception for 150 guests followed immediately at the New Bremen Community Hall.
Mrs. Cook is a student at Lowville Academy taking a business course. Mr. Cook attended South Lewis and completed his high school at Lowville Academy and B.O.C.E.S. course in mechanics. He will be employed at Snow Ridge. A prenuptial shower was held for the bride by Miss Linda Dauksza.

BOONVILLE — Two Boonville men died from injuries received in a one-car accident at 2:15 a.m. Sunday on Route 12, one half mile north of the village. State Police report.
Pronounced dead at the scene by Dr. Albert Redmond, a county coroner, was Richard A Denslow, 19, of RD3, Boonville. Denslow's passenger, Richard I Cook, 20, First St., Boonville. was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Luke's - Memorial Hospital Center, New Hartford
It was the second fatal accident in Boonville in 26 hours. James D. Marcy, 20, of Route 294, Boonville, was killed in an accident at 12:18 a.m. Friday, on Route 12 near Woodgate Drive.
Troopers John C Gaylord and Theodore Klara, Remsen, reported that Denslow was driving north on Route 12 and failed to negotiate a curve His car struck several metal guard rails before flipping end over end, landing on its top.
Cook was ejected from the car. State the troopers said.
Denslow was trapped in the wreckage of the car, the troopers reported.
Dr Redmond ruled Denslow's death accidental, caused by a fractured neck and chest injuries Coroner Dr Charles Brady said Cook died from multiple injuries.
Troopers Gaylord and Klara attributed the accident to excessive speed.
Boonville police also investigated.
Mr Cook was born in Constableville March 26, 1956, son of Robert L. and Betty Adams Cook. He was educated in South Lewis Central Schools in Port Leyden and Turin.
Surviving besides his parents of Carson City, Nev., are a sister, Mrs. William (Joan) Ramsdale, Hawkinsville; three brothers, Michael R. Cook, Boonville; Thomas A. Cook, stationed with the Army in Germany, and Robert L. Cook Jr., Carson City, Nev.; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Clarence Adams, Port Leyden. and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Anna B. Cook, Sacramento, Calif.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Fitch Funeral Home, Boonville. Burial will be in Port Cemetery.

Mr. Denslow was born in Rome Feb. 28,1957, son of Karl W and Gloria Vollmar Denslow He lived most of his life in Boonville and was educated in Boonville schools.
He had been employed at the Ethan Allen Furniture factory, Scherz's Construction and Holcombe's Bakery.
Mr. Denslow was a Navy veteran.
Surviving besides his father in Port Leyden and his mother, Mrs. Gloria Smith of Remsen, is one brother. Robert Denslow, Utica.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Trainor Funeral Home. Boonville. Burial will be in Boonville Cemetery.

ILION – Miller Dean (Jack) Reed, 73, of 8 Marshall Ave., Ilion, passed away Tuesday.
Mr. Reed was born March 28,1906 in Turin, N.Y., son of Willard and Myrtle Sabin Reed. He married Alice Lehowicz in 1930. He was employed by Sperry Univac for 25 years and also headed the dance band entitled 'Jack Reed and His Orchestra' for many years. He was a member of the Ilion United Methodist Church, Ilion Lodge #1444 B.P.O.E., Ilion Fish & Game Club, a retired member of the Nichol Platers and Polishers Union and the A.A.R.P.
He is survived by his wife, Alice; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Sylvia) Bulson of Ilion; four sisters, Mrs. Pearl Fiesthumel of Utica, Mrs. Mary Hill of Rome, Mrs. Mildred Durr of Ogdensburg and Mrs. Josephine Kraeger of Constableville; four grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday from the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home, with interment in Armory Hill Cemetery. Calling hours are 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Thursday. Ilion Elks will conduct services at 8 p.m. Thursday from the funeral home.

She retired from Sperry Ran in Ilion, NY with 25 years od service and was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Inverness and Annunciation Catholic Church of Ilion, NY. Other affiliations included the Floral City Garden Club, Citrus Co. Historical Society, Citrus Co. Home Extention Club, Upstate New Yorki Club, and the Golden Agers. She enjoyed life to its fulest and loved spending time with her family. She loved to travel, crochet, and reading good books.
She is survived by; 1 daughter, Sylvia Bulson and her husband, Robert, Carogas Lake, NY, 2 sisters, Elizabeth Sumner, Floral City and Utica, NY, Janis Lehowicz, Floral City and Utica, NY., 3 grandchildren, Robin, Michele, and Patricia; 6 great grandchildren, Brooke, Kelsey, Leanne, Lauran, Benjamin, and Audry. Royce J. Fiesthumel, retired assistant sexton of First Presbyterian Church, Utica, died Monday, June 7, 1982 in St. Elizabeth Hospital.
He was born in Port Leyden, NY., son of the late George and Lena Fiesthumel, and was educated in Lewis County schools. He had resided in Utica since 1942. Prior to his employment at First Presbyterian Church, Mr. Fiesthumel was a retired machinery repairman at the Bossert & the Mele Mfg, Companies. He was married to Pearl E. Reed on August 3, 1929 in Turin. N.Y. Mr Fiesthumel was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife of Utica, a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. David R. (Patricia A. Markis) Fiesthumel; two grandsons. Scott D. Fiesthumel and Todd W. Fiesthumel, all of Schuyler; two brothers, Lawrence Hubbard, Binghamton, N.Y. and Ronald Hubbard. Holland Patent.

Sgt. Reed's commanding officer, Maj. Gen. A. R. Bolling in a letter to Mrs. Reed said he husband died instantly from a sniper's bullet south of Berg, Germany. He said the burial was made in a military cemetery in Holland.
Sgt. Reed served with the 84th infantry division of the First army and had seen action in Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany, He had been given the combat infantryman award last December.
Enlisting in the army in 1929 following graduation from Lowville academy, Sgt. Reed served fom 1933 to 1940 at Fort Ontario, Oswego. Later he trained at several other camps and was assigned to overseas duty last September.
A native of Turin, Sgt. Reed was the son f Mr. and Mrs. Karl Reed Benedict and the late Willard Reed. He was a member of the Turin Methodist church. surviving besides his wife and mother are two daughters, Bernice and Cynthis Lee; three sisters, Mrs. royce Fiestmul of Utica, Mrs. Miles Hill of Rome and Mrs James Durr of Ogdensburg; three brothers, Lowell Reed of Rockwood, Millard Reed of Ilion and Donald Reed of Rome; and a half sister Josephine Benedict of Turin.

Turin — Lowell W. Reed, 52, died yesterday in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital Center,
Utica.
He was born in Turin, son of Willard and Myrtle Fabin Reed, attended school here and was a former member of the CCC stationed in Harrisville. Mr. Reed married Elizabeth Law in 1938 in Scranton, Pa. The couple moved to Sidney where Mr. Reed was a Bendix Corporation machine operator. He returned here five years ago and worked on area farms. Mr. Reed was a
member of Turin Methodist Church and the Rome Moose Lodge.
Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Vincent (Judy) Matteo, Fairbanks, Alaska, and Miss Barbara Reed, Albany; his stepfather and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Benedict, Turin; four sisters, Mrs. Royce (Pearl) Fiesthumel, Utica; Mrs. Miles (Mary) Hill, rome; Mrs. James (Mildred) Durr, Ogdensburg and Mrs. Irving (Josephine) Kraeger, Constableville, and a brother Miller D. Ilion.
The funeral will be at 2 Sunday from the Trainor Funeral Home, Boonville, with the Rev. Glenn Poppleton, pastor of Dryer Memorial Church, Utica, and former Turin Methodist pastor officiating. Burial will be in Turin cemetery.

Rome—Donald J. Reed, 46, of 925 W. Dominick St., died unexpectedly yesterday in Rose Hospital. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born in Turin. June 13, 1913, son of Willard H. and Myrtle Sabin Reed. He attended school in Turin.
He married Laura Matulewicz, August 31, 1935, in Lowville. The couple moved to Rome 18 years ago. He had been employed since as a maintenance man at Revere Copper and Brass. He was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration, its Ushers Association, Polish Home, Loyal Order of Moose, and the Revere Bowling League.
Besides his wife, he leaves his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Karl D. Bennedict of Turin; two daughters, Rosemary and Donna, at home; four sisters, Mrs. Royce Fiesthumel of Utica, Mrs. James Durr of Ogdensburg, Mrs. Miles Hill of Rome, Mrs. Irving Kreager of Contableville; two brothers, Millard Reed of Ilion, Lowell Reed of Turin; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 9:15 Friday from the Trainor Funeral Home, Boonville, and at 10 from St. Mary's Church, Constableville, where the Rev. Thomas J. Robilard will offer a requiem Mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Port Leyden.
The Rosary will be recited at 8 tomorrow night.

The funeral for Donald J. Reed, 925 W. Dominick St., was held Friday, with prayer at 9:15 a.m. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Boonville, and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Constableville, where the Rev. Thomas Robillard, pastor, offered a requiem high Mass.
Bearers were Orrin Hill, David Feisthamel, Robert Bulson, John Matulewicz, Robert Hill and William Swan. Burial was in the family plot in Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary E. Hill, 65, of 215 Richardson Ave., Utica, formerly of Rome, died Tuesday, June 10, 1980 in Rose Hospital, after being hospitalized since May 26.
Born in Port Leyden on April 1, 1915, she was a daughter of Willard and Myrtle Benedict Reed. She graduated from Turin High Shcool, and on March 10, 1934, she was married to Miles O. Hill in Turin. He died Jan. 29, 1966. Mrs. Hill had been employed as an attendant at Rome Developmental Center for26 years, retiring in 1971 due to poor health.
She had lived in Rome for 30 years before moving to Utica in 1973. Mrs. Hill was a member of First Methodist Church, Rome, and Holly Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are four sons, Orrin W. Hill, Turin; Robert M. Hill and Parmer H. Hill, both of Rome and Thomas K. Hill, Peterboro; three sisters, Mrs. James (Mildred) Durr, Ogdensburg; and Mrs. Irving (Josephine) Kraeger, Constableville, and seven grandchildren.
Services were held Friday at the Trainor Funeral Home, Boonville, with burial in Turin
Cemetery.

Miles 0. Hill, 60, of 729 1/2 W. Bloomfield St., a meat cutter at the Rome State School for the past six years, died Saturday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Utica.
He was born Dec. 27, 1905 in Turin son of Orrin and Addie May Cook Hill. His younger life was spent in Turin where he graduated from high school. He later attended Potsdam State Teachers College and for several years operated a store and meat market at Turin.
Mr. Hill and the former Mary Reed were married in Turin on March 10, 1333. They came to Rome in 1942. Mr. Hill was employed by the General Cable Corp. for 18 years.
He was a member of the Turin Methodist Church and Turin Lodge, F&AM.
He is survived by his wife; four sons, Robert and Parmer Hill, both of Rome; Orrin Hill, Turin, and Thomas Hill stationed with the U.S. Army at Fort Gordon, Ga.; three granddaughters, and one sister. Mrs. Ralph (Myra) Gleasman, Turin.

CONSTABLEVILLE - Irving and Josephine Kraeger were honered by their children for their 35th wedding Anniversary at the Coachlight Restaurant, Brantingham, October 15.
Mr. and Mrs. Kraeger were married October 23, 1948, at St Mary's Church, Glenfield, by Father Dearosier. Mrs. Kraeger was formerly Josephine Benedict, Turin, daughter of the late Karl and Myrtle Benedict. Mr. Kraeger is the son of the late Anthony and Cecile Kraeger.
Honor attendents at the wedding were Maid of Honor Sylvia Reed Bulson, Ilion, neice of Mrs. Kraeger, and James Koehane, Watertown, nephew of Mr. Kraeger.

Mr. and Mrs. Kraeger have six grandchildren: Terry and Scott Dorrity, Desirae and Carrie Failing, Heidi and Lisa Pleskach.
Mr. and Mrs. Kraeger operated a dairy farm onRoute 26, Constableville, in the Town of West Turin. Mr. Kraeger is the Lewis County legislator for District #9 which consists of the Towns of West Turin and Osceola. He has served on the board since its origin and prior to that on the Town Supervisor's Board for the Town of West Turin. Mr. Kraeger has over 31 years of public service. The Kraeger's are also producers of maple syrup.
They are members of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Constableville, and the Constableville Volunteer Fire Dapartment.
