HERKIMER — Raymond (Pete) Harter, 58, of Harter Road. RD Herkimer, died yesterday at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Utica.
He was born here, son of David and Ida Seiselmyer Harter and married Francis Dunn in Frankfort in 1935.
He had been an assistant foreman of the Remington Arms Co. in Ilion, for the past 35 years and was a member of the company's 25-Year Club.
He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Fort Dayton Grange.
Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Mrs. James (Joan) Whiteman, Ilion and Mrs. Warren (Ruth) Jones, Little Falls, a brother Walter of Herkimer and two sisters, Mrs. Levenue (Emma) Pickert, Middleville and Mrs. Claude (Ruth) Jones, Little Falls.
The funeral will be at 11 Monday from the Fenner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 7-9 Saturday and Sunday.

Games were played, the prizes being awarded to Miss Gladys Jackson and Mrs. Howard Dunn.

Miss Ruth Virginia Harter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Harter, Creek Rd„ was married at 2 p. m. today in a candlelight service in the Frankfort Methodist Church, to Steven Martin Dzula, Jr son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Dzula, Sr., 1 Goodell Ave.
The Rev. Robert Rowsam, pastor performed the double ring ceremony. The church pews were decorated with white gladioli. Mrs. Sheila Helmer sang ‘'The Lord's Prayer" and "I Love You Truly" and Mrs. Christine Niermeyer was organist.
Mrs. Ann Breish, his sister, was matron of honor, and Miss Joan Harter, her sister, maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Tessie Dzula, his sister, and Miss Joanne Vidulich, while Frances Dunn was flower girl. Howard Dunn, Jr., her cousin, was best man, and ushers were Richard Quackenbush, Joseph Ferrucci and Clifton Meszler. Ernest Davis. Jr., was ring bearer.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a gown of imported Chantilly lace, fashioned with a fitted bodice, shadow yoke and a Peter Pan collar, trimmed with sequins and pearls, and long pointed sleeves. The tiered skirt of lace and tulle ended in a long train. Her fingertip silk illusion veil was caught to a tiara of
pearls and sequins. She carried a bouquet of white roses, stephanotis and baby breath, centered with a white orchid.
The matron of honor chose a pink tulle strapless gown with a bouffant skirt trimmed with ruffles and a matching stole. The maid of honor’s gown was identically styled in Nile green. The bridesmaids wore orchid and yellow net over taffeta gowns with boat necklines, cap sleeves and circular rows of braid trim. All had matching picture hats. The flower girl’s blue gown was styled like the bridesmaids. They carried bouquets of roses, pompons and baby breath.
A reception will be held at 6 p.m. in the Old Milestone, Richfield Springs, after which the couple will leave for a trip to Virginia. They will reside in a trailer on Creek Rd.
Both are graduates of Herkimer High School, and he is employed by the L. G. DeFelice Construction Co. Guests attended the ceremony from New Jersey, Virginia, Syracuse, Pennsylvania, New York City, Ithaca and Valley towns.
Prenuptial events were arranged by Mrs. Evelyn Dreizler, Mrs. Edith Dreizler. Mrs. Leta Hollister, Miss Helen Devine and the bridal party.

Louis, 67, of Torrance, California passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014. Louis was born to Van and Virginia Perry.
Louis is survived by his two daughters Shannon Stark and Wendy Break, their two husbands, David Stark and Steve Break and his granddaughter, Madeline Avery Break, his six sisters, Penny, Mary, Violet, Connie, Lenny and Carol, two brothers, Bernard and Joe. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.
His wife of 20 years, Suzette Steward passed away in 2005. Louis graduated from Dexter High School in 1964 and was also known as Louie, Lou and Rocket J.
Louie served in the US Air force from 1966-1972 as a KC-135 Crew Chief. His unit supported air refueling operations in support of air combat in Vietnam. His stations included Louisiana, Maine and Guam. Among his awards are the Air Force Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. Louie achieved the rank of Sergeant and was honorably discharged in 1972.
Louie was a very successful air-conditioning salesman in Southeast and Northern Florida, as well as Torrance California. Louie will be missed by many friends and family. He has entered his eternal home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
A Funeral Service was held on Monday, July 28, 2014, at Crossroads Community Church, Stockbridge, with Pastor Brian Johnson officiating.

Melissa Marie Bonamassa, six-month-old daughter of Michael and Sandra Cameron Bonamassa of Fairborn, Ohio, and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maynard H. Cameron of Herkimer, died yesterday at Barney’s Children’s Hospital, Dayton. Ohio.
Melissa was bom on March 16, spending the first five months in an incubator, the result of blockages in her intesines. Surgery was performed at the hospital and the Bonamassas were told of Melissa's rare condition, the cause of which is unknown.
The Bonamassas moved to Fairborn two years ago, when he took a position as inventory management specialist at Wright - Patterson Air Force Base.
Besides her parents and maernal gandparents, Melissa is survived by a brother Michael G. and a sister Maryann; her paternal grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. George Bonamassa, Utica, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Mass of the Angels will be held Tuesday at Mary, Help of Christians Church, Fairborn after which Melissa will be brought to Herkimer for calling hours on Wednesday at the Fenner Funeral Home.
A prayer service will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Peter J. NKzboznh, pastor of St. Francis de Sales, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. View Memorial Gardens, Town of Little Falls.

LITTLE FALLS – Jacqueline E. Gehring, 87 of State Route 5S, Little Falls went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the Alpine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Little Falls where she had been a resident since August of 2011.
She was born on February 25, 1925 in the Town of Danube the daughter of the late John E. and Elva (Loucks) Gehring. She was educated in the "Stone House" school in the Town of Little Falls and then Little Falls High School and has resided in the Little Falls area most of her life. Jackie was a member of the First Baptist Church, Little Falls and was active in the Women's Christian Fellowship of the church. She also served as the church custodian for many years. She was the past president and treasurer of the Manheim Lutheran Cemetery Assoc. (Yellow Church). She was the owner and operator of the family dairy farm located on Fall Hill in the Town of Danube where she was born and raised. She continued to operate the family farm until her retirement in 2005. She was predeceased by her son John A. Pinkevicz on August 3, 2011.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 10:00 am from the First Baptist Church, 555 Albany Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Christopher Wintermute officiating. As a descendant of the Hess family interment will take place in the Hess Family Cemetery, (Fall Hill) Town of Danube at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. There are no calling hours.

The bride is employed in the accounting department of Remington Rand, and the bridegroom is employed at the Waterville Textile Mills.
