  Evelyn Spurling, a resident of Caldwell, Idaho, passed away peacefully on January 20th, 2014. She was 74. One of seven children, Evelyn was born in Nyssa, Oregon on March 21st, 1939.
   She loved fishing, quilting and American history, but most of all, spending time with her family. She also loved to travel. Some of her favorite trips were driving cross-country to Atlanta, GA, visiting Hawaii and even traveling the Al-Can from Anchorage to Portland, OR.
   Evelyn lived in Portland, OR for forty years before returning to Caldwell, ID in 1998. She is survived by children, Rick Domine of Ridgefield, WA, Scott (Jill) Domine of Portland, OR, Michelle (Rick) Carr of Molalla, OR; sister Donna Craig of Caldwell, ID; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters Wilma, Jane and Verna and brothers Clyde and John.
   Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at Lienkaemper Chapel in Nyssa, OR. Committal will follow at Hilltop Memorial Cemetery in Nyssa, OR. Reception following at Mackey's Restaurant, 111 SW 1st, Ontario, OR.

John Keith Cameron

  Georgia E. Cameron, 76, of Adrian and formerly of Wallowa County, died Jan. 27 at St. Luke's Hospital in Boise.
   A celebration of life will begin at 11 a.m. Mountain Standard Time Feb. 12 at the Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Owyhee Ward in Adrian. A graveside service is planned for later at Wallowa Cemetery. Bollman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
   Georgia was born Feb. 9, 1934, to Adeline Martha Adams Ward and Clinton Adrion Ward in Nyssa. She was raised at Mitchell Butte. She married John "Keith" Cameron June 29, 1950, in Boise.
   She enjoyed country life at the ranch on Powwatka Ridge, north of Wallowa; and raising her family.
   Survivors include children, Ray and his wife, Patty Cameron, of Lostine, Louise Burck of Elgin, Linda Williams of Lewiston, Idaho, and John and his wife, Brenda Cameron, of Adrian; brother, Bill and his wife, Wanda Ward, of Vale; sister, Marion and her husband, Rick Strong, of Payette, Idaho; sister-in-law, Charlene Ward of Nyssa; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents, Adeline and Clinton; husband, Keith; two brothers, Buster and Jack; granddaughter, Erica; and grandson, Travis.

  Arthur Adams, 55, a retired municipal accountant, died April 5 at his Anchorage home following a lengthy illness with diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis. A memorial service was held at Kehl's Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with John Wood officiating. A reception followed at the home of Sue and Dick Green.
   Mr. Adams was born July 25, 1933, in Caldwell, Idaho. In 1952 he enlisted with the Idaho National Guard and later joined the U.S. Army, serving in Europe. As part of the military effort he came to Alaska to help in the cleanup of the 1964 earthquake. Following his tour of duty overseas he joined the U.S. Army Reserve until his retirement in 1976 from Company B, 3rd Battalion, 12th Special Forces Group (Airborne) with the rank of sergeant major. He graduated with honors from the College of Idaho in Caldwell, where he received a bachelor of arts degree. He also attended the University of Alaska Anchorage. In 1970 he moved to Juneau to work with Alaska Pacific Assurance Co. He moved to Anchorage in 1972 and remained in the insurance business until 1978, when he was employed by the city of Petersburg and then the city of Homer. He returned to Anchorage and worked for the Municipality of Anchorage as an accountant until his retirement in 1988. During his years in Anchorage, Mr. Adams was involved in community activities. He was a consultant coordinator for International Pacific Rim Trade, promoted international winter ice racing with other countries, and also worked to bring international soccer to Anchorage. Mr. Adams was a member of the Libertarian Party of Alaska, World Affairs Council, Porsche Club of America, Resource Development Council, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Airborne Association, Special Forces Decade Association, Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Toastmasters International, Adrian High School Alumni Association, Home Builders Association and the Alaska Sports Car Club. He drove in and helped with the Annual Rondy Grand Prix in which he also served as an announcer for KASH radio. He served on the advisory board for KSKA.
   He leaves his son, Michael, of Anchorage; his daughter, Teresa DiDio, of Nampa, Idaho; and his mother, Eileen, of Idaho. Burial with full military honors was at Fort Richardson National Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to a diabetes or arthritis charity.
