Martha Jane Norland, 75, of Caldwell passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2001, at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Jane was born Christmas Day in 1926, the second child of Laura and Festus Adams. She attended school at Oregon Trail Grade School and Nyssa High School graduating in 1945. Jane married Art Norland in Winnemucca, Nev., in December of 1950. Mother, homemaker and gardener, Jane was a busy lady,looking for weeds to pull,or peaches to can. Known for her baked bread and good cooking, no one left her house without a full tummy.
Jane is survived by her sisters, Wilma Auzman, Donna Craig and Evelyn Spurling; her children, Karen Babcock, Bob Norland, Susan Norland-Elston, Stan Norland and Sonja Griffiths; her husband, Curt, 16 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Art, a son, Kelly Norland and her brothers, Cyde and John Adams.

Wilma Lela Ausman, 80, of Nyssa passed away July 9, 2009 in Ontario. Wilma was born November 14, 1928 in Nyssa, Oregon and grew up on a Snake River farm. She married Elmer Ausman of Meridian in 1948. They raised 5 kids on dairy farms in Adrain, Ontari, then settled on a dairy outside of Nyssa.
Wilma is survived by her husband Elmer, three daughters, Margaret Sudduth, Leah Freeman, Carla Campbell; two sons Frank and Michael; two sisters, Evelyn Spurling and Donna Draig; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandhcildren.
She is preceeded in death by her parents; Laura and Festus Adams; her sisters, Jane Norland and Verna Mangum; her brothers Clyde Adams and John Adams.
There will be a visitation on Monday, July 13th from 6 to 8 pm at the Nyssa Lienkaemper Chapel. Services for Wilma will be held at the LDS Owyhee Ward/Owyhee Blvd., on Tuesday July 14, 2009 at 10:00 AM with graveside dedication at Hilltop Memorial Cemetery in Nyssa.
