Donald R. Marks, 90 of Griffithville, Arkansas died Monday. June 1, 2015 at his home. He was born on April 12, 1925 in Muskegon Heights, Michigan.
Donald was retired from Paragon Bridge and Steel in Flint Michigan. After retirement he volunteered with Crossroad Village and the Sheriff’s Department, where he finger printed children. He was a member and Sunday school teacher at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Flint, Michigan. After moving to Arkansas, he attended Whitney Lane Family Worship Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ruth Kibbe Marks, two brothers, three sisters and a nephew.
He leaves behind two daughters, Sandra Wilke (Gerald Summers) of Clarksville, Deborah Moore (Leon) of Griffithville, four grandchildren, Ellery T. Nitcher (Tommy) of Flushing, Michigan, James D. Marks of Cleveland, Georgia, Stacey L. Nitcher of Flint, Michigan, Tonya Marks (Jason Teeter) of Griffithville, four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy. Funeral Services in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2 PM Friday, June 5, 2015. Interment in Dogwood Cemetery in Griffithville.

Willard Rist, eighty-three, died at 6 o'clock Friday night, at his home in Bakers Mills. He was for many years a member of the Wesleyan Methodist church. He wa s the last survivor of a large family. He is survived by several nephews and nieces. Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, in the Wesleyan Methodist church, in Bakers Mills, the Rev. H. S. Miler officiating. Burial in the Ronan cemetery, in Johnsburg.

Mrs. Shirley Ann Steves, 24, wife of Clifford J. Steves, of Bakers Mills, died Sunday night, Oct. 28, in her sleep. An autopsy performed last Monday by Dr. P. H, Huntington of Warrensburg, Warren County coroner, at the Orton and McCloskey Funeral Home, Warrensburg, revealed that death was due to natural causes.
Besides the husband, she is survived by three sons, William Walter, Wallace Lee and Wesley Kirk, all of Bakers Mills; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Swan of Corinth; her grandmother, Mrs. Nellie Theobold of Saratoga Springs, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. in the Wesleyan Methodist Church at Bakers Mills, the Rev. Dennis Osgood officiating. Burial was in the Bates Cemetery in the Town of Johnsburg.
