Carl was born in Bremerton Washington - he traveled many places with his Mom & Sister Alice throughout Southern California. He ended his formal education in the eighth grade but was extremely smart. He joined the Army Air forces in WWII and graduated from flight school at the University of Texas.
Carl served his country as a P-40 pilot trainer and later served in the Army Air Force reserve as a 2nd Lieutenant.
Carl married Bonnie Jewell Porch in 1941 and had one daughter - Sandra "Sandie".
He joined the Long Beach fire department after his military days and worked at station 1 for 30 years - retiring as an engineer.
His loves were his daughter, golf, hunting and fishing in the Sierra's and his many friends.

Mary's parents are Joe Thomas Vales and Pearl Burgess. The middle child of three girls. She graduated from Queen Anne High School in Seattle.a
She married Robert Charles Walsh, February 11, 1940 in Washington.
She loved square dancing, enjoyed sewing and horses. She worked in the sheet metal shop at PSNS during the Korean War for a couple of years, but spent most of her adult life as a homemaker.
She is survived by son Robbie Walsh; daughters Nancy Steiner, Diane Murdoch, Phyllis Walsh, Charlene Boyce (Clif) and Cindy Hammond (Rod); 25 grandkids, 36 great-grandkids and 7 great-great-grandkids and her cat ‘Smoki' as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Albert's parents are William and Gladys Buss. He attended schools in Bremerton and Seattle.
He married Hazel Walsh on July 7, 1940 in Shelton, Washington.
Albert retired as a Shipfitter from Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton. He drove an oil truck for Service Fuel in Bremerton and was also a driver for White River Lumber in Annapolis. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. Albert enjoyed trains, woodworking, traveling, photography, yard work, playing cards, and his family.
Surviving are wife Hazel; son Albert, Jr. (Cathy) Buss of Port Orchard; daughters Leotta Buss of Seattle, Washington and April Buss of Jacksonville, Florida; 9 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Alice Nason & Barbara Walsh, and brother William Buss.

Beverly (Mrs. Ralph) Vogelpohl, 76, of 115 S. Jefferson St., New Ulm, died Thursday, May 25, 1995, at Sioux Valley Hospital, New Ulm.
Memorial services will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at United Church of Christ, New Ulm. Arrangements are being handled by Firle Funeral Home, New Ulm.
She is survived by her husband Ralph, children, Sue, Jane and Brad, sister, Peggy Loose, grandchildren, Jennifer, Brad, Dan, Michael, Bill, Sara, and John; great-granddaughter Allison, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her aunt, Sue Hinkley and granddaughter Kate Nosan.
She was born July 4, 1918 in Luverne to Milton and Vivienne (Kibbee) Hammond. She married Ralph Vogelpohl June 5, 1939, in Luverne. Together, they owned and operated Vogelpohl's Luggage, Leather Goods and Gift Store for 25 years in downtown New Ulm.
