Nancy S Fikes

 - Mohawk Valley Harters, attributes two children to Nancy, (Ernest and Eugene), however they were born after her death. They also indicate that she was adoped which census records seem to contia-indicate. [WG
 - Nancy (Howe) Fikes was the adopted daughter of Jacob and Margaret Fikes of Leray, Jefferson Co. NY. Nancy was born to Francis and Nancy Paul Howe on 8 Oct. 1840. She died in Leray on 6 Dec. 1865. She and Isaac Harter had one son: Charles Harter, b. 1862, d. 8 Feb. 1881. Charles is buried Chauftys Cemetery near Theresa, NY. (Lida Fikes Perfetto)
