Inez M. Bronson, born on September 18, 1933, in Iron Mountain, Michigan to Howard and Ruth (Edick) Haley, died on October 16, 1999, in Puyallup. Mrs. Bronson served as a teller for Seafirst Bank from 1957-1995 and held membership in the Buckley Eagles. Wife of Howard Bronson of Sumner; mother of Steven Bronson of Puyallup; sister of Clyde Haley of Puyallup, Vilas Haley of St. Regis, Montana, Howard Haley of Fife and Patrick Haley of Sumner. Also survived by granddaughters Natoshia Bronson of Pullman and Brittany Bronson of Edgewood. Memorial Services are scheduled for Wednesday, 4:30 pm at POWERS FUNERAL HOME, 15124 Main Street, Sumner. PULASKI. N. Y Sept. 11 (UP) - Catching fish with one's bare hands may be a novel and difficult stunt, but it's against the law, without a permit. Leon Sobles of Marcellus has learned. Sobles was arrested on a charge of fishing by this method without authority. He was fined $10.

ONEIDA - Patients in City Hospital are three persons injured yesterday in a crash of two trucks and a car near South Bay four corners on the Sylvan Beach road. Traffic was snarled at the point for two hours.
Injured were: Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Plumley, both 55, of 32 Elm St., Camden, passengers
in a car operated by Ray A. Harrington, 38, also of Camden. All were removed to the hospital in an ambulance.
Harrington had head injuries. Mrs. Plumley had a deep laceration on one side of the face, a fractured knee cap, and shock. Her husband was treated for lacerated knee cap and facial injuries.
Truck operators were Wilfred S. Lowe, 36, Syracuse, and Leon F. Sobles, 24, of Jordan. A heavy sweep of snow blinded both drivers causing the Harrington car and the Sobles truck to collide, and Lowe's vehicle struck both car and truck.

Mrs. Rena Baker Sobles, 74, of North Railroad St, Jordan, died Saturday a.m., Feb. 2, 1957, at Baldwinsville Sanatorium after an illness of several years.
Mrs. Sobles was the daughter of Marcellus and Sarah Hills Baker and born in Lincklaen June 14, 1882.
She attended DeRuyter High School and was a member of DeRuyter Methodist Church.
She married Simeon J. Rainbow and they farmed for a dozen years in partnership with Charles Rainbow Sr. on the old homestead in DeRuyter. Then they operated the Baldwin House in DeRuyter for a time.
The marriage ended in divorce. She went to Syracuse to work and met and married Leon D. Sobles, a veteran of World War I. They resided in and around Syracuse, New Woodstock, Apulia, Skaneateles and for the past 16 years in Jordan.
She was a very peaceable woman, the home was always the neighborhood children's playground. She was ever ready and willing to help the sick or afflicted.
She was a former member of the DeRuyter Auxiliary of the G.A.R., and a member of the Fletcher-Gallinger Post VFW Auxiliary.
Surviving are her husband, Leon D. Sobles, three daughters, Mrs. Alton Henson, Manlius; Mrs. Paul Rogers, Syracuse; Mrs. Floyd Parker, Jordan; two sons, Fred Rainbow, Tully and Leon D. Sobles Jr., Syracuse; two brothers, Judson Baker, Apulia Station, Clayton Baker, Mechanicsville; 12 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and cousines.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 1957 at B. L. Bush and Son's Funeral Chapel, Jordan, the Rev. Raymond H. Cox officiating. Burial in Maplegrove Cemetery, Jordan.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred W. Rainbow and son, Fred Alton, attended his mother's funeral at Jordan, Tuesday, Feb. 5th.

Gerald worked for Oakwood Cemeteries for many years. Gerry was a happy go lucky guy that enjoyed joking, fishing, bingo and spending time with his family. PARISH — Mrs. Catherine Oyer Tilton, wife of Newton Tilton of Railroad St., died Tuesday morning at Good Shepherd Hospital, Port Charlotte, Fla. Mrs. Tilton resided several years in Cicero, moving here eight years ago.
Surviving besides her husband are six daughters, Mrs. Arlene Wells and Mrs. Sarah Horning of Fulton, Mrs. Neva Townes of Central Square, Mrs. Joyce Horning of Hastings, Mrs. Leta Horning and Mrs. Bertha Horning of Parish; five sons, Carl of Clay, Francis of Port Charlotte, Fla.. Newton Jr. of Pulaski, Vernon of Brewerton and Dale Tilton of Bridgeport, 23 grandchildren and 21 greatgrandchildren and a brother, Anson Oyer of Williamstown.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Harter Funeral Home. Spring burial will be in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours are 7 to 9 and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. and Mrs. Newton Tilton recently celebrated their 50th. wedding anniversary at Green Meadows Club House, Hastings, N.Y.
The party was given by their children.
Mr. and Mrs. Tilton were married at Amboy Center in 1914 by the Rev. Charles Chubb. The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Phillips of Parish, N.Y.
Mr. and Mrs. Tilton are the parents of eleven children, Mrs. Arlene Wells of Fulton; Mrs. Raymond Horning of Fulton; Carl Tilton of North Syracuse; Mrs. Leta Horning and Mrs. Bertha Weaver, Parish, N.Y.; Mrs. Joyce Horning, Hastings; Mrs. Neva Towne, Brewerton, Mr. Newton Tilton Jr., Pulaski, Mr. Vernon Tilton, Brewerton, Mr. Dale Tilton, Bridgeport, and Mr. Francis Tilton, Puntagarda, Florida.
There were 150 guests that attended the anniversary party. They were present from Syracuse, Conn. Herkimer, Wllllamstown, Fulton, Pulaski, Lake Port, Baldwinsvllle and Parish. All of their eleven children were present plus 24 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The couple received lovely gifts and a purse of money.

His wife, the former Mildred Allen, died in 1997.

He was a member of the Parish United Methodist Church and the Parish Senior Citizens.

D., July 26, at 2 p.m. in the Parish Methodist Church, The Rev Leonard Owen, pastor of the church read the double ring ceremony in front of the altar, which was decked with baskets of white pampons, mums and pink carnations.
Miss Brennia (?) LaForce of Parish played the traditional wedding music on the organ, and accompanied Mrs. George Frank, who sang "Because" and "O Perfect Love."
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length gown of chantilly lace over white nylon net and taffeta, fashoned with long sleves pointed ofver the wrist, rounded neckline, and a fitted bodice and full hoop skirt. Her fingertip veil was caught to a lace sequin headpiece with a tear pearl at her forehead. Something old that the bride carried was a white lace handkerchief given to her by her grandmother, Mrs. Anna Michel. Mrs. Michel had worn this handkerchief on her wedding gown in 1904. The bride's bouquet was a cascade bouquet of white and light pink roses centered with a white orchid.
Mrs. Ruth Kelsey was matron of honor for her sister. She wore a ballerina length lace gown of shrimp pink and carried a bouquet of light pink carnations. The bridesmaids were; Miss Ruby Crandall of Fulton, niece of the groom and Miss Nancy Weaver of Parish, Their gowns were of light blue nylon chiffon, ballerina length, with matching sequin crowns and a veil. Their flowers were bouques of dark pink carnations. The flower girls were Miss Pamelia and Charlene Berthel, nieces of the bride. Their identical dresses were of pink and blue nylon. they carried baskets of pink rose petals.
Phillip Barthel of Parish, brother of the bride, was the best man, and Neil and Kenneth
Duell, brothers of the bridegroom, were ushers.
For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Barthel chose a blue rose print chiffon dress whith white accessories and a corsage of pink roses. The bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Harold Duell, wote a light pink lace dress with white accessories. Her flowers werre also a corsage of Pink roses.
A reception for about 100 relatives and friends followed the ceremony at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Barthel. Assisting in surving the refreshments were Mrs. Freda Barthel and, Miss Gail Waite, Miss Lulu --- Waite, Miss Ruby Crandall, and Miss Nancy Weaver. Mrs. Ruby Kelsey cut and served the three tiered wedding cake which was decorated in white frosting, pink rose buds and swans.
The bride's going away costume was a light blue fitted dress with white accessories. Following their wedding trip through the central Adirondacks, the bride and groom will reside in Boonville, where Mr. Duell is employed.
Mrs. Duell is a 1958 graduate of Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School. Mr. Duell attended Mexico Academy and is now employed by Bradley and Williams Electrical Company.
Out of town guests who attended the wedding and reception were from Syracuse, Lafayette, Baldwinsville, Mexico, Camden adn Hercher Ill.

Edwin M. Soble Sr., of Route 22, Altmar, died Saturday at his home after a short illness.
He was a retired carpenter with Local No. 12, Syracuse.
He was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Inez Trumble Soble; nine daughters, Pauline Pachoud of Fulton, Rose Raymond of East Syracuse, Catherine Duell of Mexico, Anna Middleton of Parish, Grace Stone of Parish, Ethel Ponzo of Syracuse, Dorothy Barber of Altmar, Shirley Wallace of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Eulia Mason of Fulton; six sons, Solomon Richardson of Parish, Carl Richardson of Phoenix, Edwin Soble of Central Square, Dale Trumble of Altmar, Lloyd Trumble and James Trumble, both of Williamstown; three sisters Adelia Barthel of Parish, Betty and Helen (Soble) of California; one brother, William Soble of Christmas Park, Fla.; 67 grandchildren; 89 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the Harter-Olmstead Funeral Home, 7430 Main St., Parish, on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
A spring burial will be in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery in Parish.

ALTMAR — Inez Trumble Soble, 84, of County Route 22, died Sept. 10, 1997, at Sunrise Nursing Home, Oswego.
A native of Parish, she attended school and resided there since 1928.
She was employed as a home health aide for 12 years with the Oswego County Health Department, retiring in 1982. She was also employed at Evergreen Nursing Home in Williamstown for several years.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Hugh Trumble, who died in 1978. and her second husband, Edwin Soble, who died in 1988.
She is survived by three sons, Martin "Jim" Trumble of Florida, Lloyd Trumble of Williamstown, and Dale Trumble of Altmar, four daughters, Ethel Ponzo of Syracuse, Dorothy Barber of Altmar, Shirley Wallace of Florida, and Eulia Mason of Fulton; three sisters, Esther Spear of Syracuse, Nellie Phillips of Williamstown, and Mildred Smith of Parish; 37 grandchildren; 83 great-grandchildren; and 42 great-great-grandchildren.

FULTON — Mrs. Alice M. Smith, 53, wife of Sidney F. Smith Sr. of Silk Road, Fulton RD 4, died Tuesday evening at Oswego Hospital.
Born in Parish, Mrs. Smith was a resident of the Fulton area most of her life.
She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Surviving, besides her husband, are three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Boyer and Miss Mary Smith of Volney and Miss Julia Smith of Fulton; two sons, Sidney Jr. of South Hannibal and Richard S. Smith of Volney; her father, Richard Soble of Parish; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Adelia Barthel, Mrs. Julia Joss of Parish, Helen Kaler of Rochester and Betty Henopp of California; three brothers, Edwin of Parish, Stanley of Florida and William Soble of Nedrow.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Gardner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Adnah Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 208 Worth St.

FULTON - Sidney F. Smith Sr., 74, a former resident of RD 7 Mobile City Trailer Park, Fulton, died Tuesday in a local nursing home following a long illness.
Mr. Smnith was born in Altmar and had resided in the Fulton area since 1955, He was a retired machine operator at the sealright Corp. Fulton.
Surviving are three daughters, Evelyn V. Boyea, Judy A. Smith and Mary L. Smith, al of Fulton; two sons, Sidney F. Smith Jr., of Conroe, Texas, and Richard S. Smith of Fulton; a sister, Marion Stevens, of Central Square; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several neices and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Foster funeral Home.
Burial will be in Mount Adnah Cemeter, Fulton.

PARISH - Word jas been received of the Oct. 16 death in Orlando, Fla., of former Parish resident Richard Stanley Soble, 66.
Services for burial were in Florida.
Mr. Soble moved to Florida in 19566. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church, Chuluota, Fla.
Surviving are his wife, Bessie; two sons, Robert of Orlando and Randy of Fort McCoy, Fla.; his father Richard Sr. of Oswego; two brothers, Edwin of Altmar and William of Syracuse; four sisters, Adelia Bartyhel and Julia Joss, both of Parish, and Hellen Kaler and Betty Hennop of California; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

PARISH - The wedding of Miss Bessie Virginia Showers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Showers of Hastings, to Richard Stanley Soble, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Soble of Parish, took place at the bride's home at 9 p. m. Monday, Sept. 28.
The couple was attended by Miss Beatrice Winn of Bernhards Bay and Earl Showers, brother of the bride.
The bride was attired in blue georgette crepe with a corsage of salmon pink sweetheart roses. The matron of honor wore white with a cordage of pink roses.
The arch was decorated with cedar and red and white roses. A wedding supper was served to 40 guests. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Robert E. Wright, pastor of the Parish Methodist church.
The couple left on a short honeymoon.
