Walter "Walt" Nathaniel Biddle was born in Vernonia,Or. moving with parents at six weeks to live on the Biddle Homestead in Svensen,Or. He graduated from Knappa-Svensen High School and was an active member of the National Guard 101st Engineers Battalion for 8 years. Walt worked in the logging industry running loading equipment. In 1964 he started Biddle Auto Repair/Welding Service acquiring many faithful customers throughout the Knappa-Svensen area.
Walt was married to Janet R. Casper(1955)The couple made their home in the Knappa area where their two children were born. (Frances Marie, Sharon Fay).

The Gilead Lutheran Church in Center Brunswick was the scene today of the marriage of Miss Erye Gorland Hayner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Allen A. Hayner of Bald Mountain Road, and Henry James Sneck, jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry James Sneck, sr., of The Portage, Ticonderoga.
Rev, William G. Boomhower, D.D., officiated, Donald E. Willetts, organist, played traditional wedding music against a candlelit background of green boughs and white chrysanthemums.
Miss Elsie Louise Hayner, the bride's sister, was maid of honor and Miss Marcia Young was bridesmaid.
Escorted by her father, the wore a copy of the wedding gown worn by her great-great grandmother of white satin with a high-collared long-sleeved jacket and a floor length draped and pleated skirt. The jacket and skirt were designed with a brocaded satin front panel. Her fingertip veil was attached to a lace crown and she carried a white Bible with white roses and baby's breath.
Her maid of honor was gowned in laurel green velvet with a matching Jacket and muff. The bridesmaid wore a similar gown in coral velvet with matching jacket and muff. Their flowers were gardenias.
The bridegrooms father acted as best man. Ushering were Robert Mitchell, Reid Bissel land Edwyn Shudt.
A reception was held in the church parlors for 75 guests. The brides mother received wearuing an an aquamarine costume with brown accessories and a coursage of red roses. The bridegrooms mother chose a black and silver brocaded dress worn with red roses.
After a wedding trip to Florida, the couple will make their home at 682 Sixth Avenue. The bride traveled in a hunter green suit with a furlined jacket and saddle brown accessories.
The bride is a graduate of the Lansingburg High School and is a senior at Russell Sage College. Her husband is a graduate of Scotia High School and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has a master's degree in engineering from Yale University and is employed by the General Electric Co.

Harold W. Bellinger of Hilton died Jan. 21, after an extended illness. At the time of his death, Mr. Bellinger was the Director of Pupil Personnel Services and Special Education for the Hilton Central School District.
Mr. Bellinger, known as "Hal" in the Hilton community, was a native of the Vernon, New York, area. He graduated from Vernon High School in 1943. After high school, he remained on the family farm before he entered the U.S. Army in 1946. Upon return from the service in 1947 he enrolled in Cornell University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1951. From 1951 to 1957 he taught Vocational Agriculture in VanHornsville, New York. During this time he did graduate work at Cornell, earning his Masters Degree in Education.
In 1957 Hal became the Director of Guidance at Fredonia, New York. He remained in Fredonia until 1960 when he came to Hilton as Senior High School Guidance Counselor. From 1960 until his illness in the fall of 1982, he served the Hilton School District as counselor, psychologist, and Director of Pupil Personnel Services and Special Education. His dedication to his job is indicated by the fact that during this 22 year period he missed only four days of work.
During his professional career Mr. Bellinger did additional graduate work. He returned to Cornell and also attended Syracuse University, The University of Buffalo, The University of Rochester and the State University College at Brockport to complete additional graduate certification in guidance, psychology, educational administration, and special education.
Mr. Bellinger was not only dedicated to his work, he was also involved in his community. He joined the Hilton Rotary Club in 1961. He served as the club secretary for two consecutive terms from 1968-1970; vice president from 1970-1971, and was the club president from July 1971 through June 1972. He also served as the club's bulletin editor.
He was also the local liason with the Salvation Army, helping that organization locate families and individuals needing their assistance. Mr. Bellinger and his family were also active members of the Hilton United Methodist Church.
Mr. Bellinger is survived by his wife Helen, whom he met while attending Cornell University. They were married in 1949. They have one daughter, Susan E. Bellinger. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Peal and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service was held at the Hilton United Methodist Church on Tueday evening. Over 400 people were in attendance. Those wishing may make contributions to the Church Reconstruction Fund in Mr. Bellinger's memory.

VERNON - Harold Wesley Bellinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. William P. Bellinger of this place, took as his bride this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Miss Helen Julia Bohach, daugher of Mr. and Mrs. John Bohach of Ithica.
The ceremony took place in the Lutheran Church, Oak and College Ave. Ithica, with the Rev. H. A. Sardenson officiating.
Baskets of white gladioli, palms and lighted candelbra formed the attractive setting. Frederick Vaughn was the soloist, and his selections were " I Love Thee", "Because" , and "Sweetest Story Ever Told."
The couple were attended by Mrs. Walter Bergen, sister of the bride ad matron of honor, ant the bridegroom's brother Robert W. Bellinger, Vernon, was best man. The brides maids were Miss Betty June Bellinger of this place, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Beatrice Joan Gombas, cousin of the bride, Ithaca. The ushers weree Chester Pohl, Vernon and William Tollman, Vernon Center.
The bride's gown was of white brocaded satin, fashoned with ilusion neckline and long train. Her bouquet was of white bridal roses.
Teh maid of honor wore green taffeta, with fitted bodice and matching tiara, and carried a bouquet of red roses. The bridesmaids wore yellow taffeta gowns made with fitted bodice, matching tiatas and mitts, Their flowers were Talisman roses.
A reception was held in the church parlors after which the couple left on a trip through the New England States and Canada, with the bride wearing a teal blue suit, with black and white accessories and a corsage of roses from the bridal bouquet. The will be at home to their friends at 102 Highland Pl., Ithaca, after Oct. 1.
The birde was graduated by the Ithaca High School and is in charge of the Underwriters Depatment of Tompkins Insurance C.o, Ithaca. The bridegroom is a graduate of Vernon High School and served in Worls War II. He is now a junior at Cornell University.
The bride was entertained by her office friends at several showers and the bridal partyat the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bellinger of this place.

VERNON - Robert W. Bellinger, 52, of Cooper St., died Saturday afternoon at Oneida City Hospital after being stricken at the home of his sister.
He was born in Vernonon June 17, 1927, son of the late P. William and Beatrice Nieman Bellinger. He was a graduate of Vernon High School. In 1948 in Syracuse he married the former Elinor Enweight. For the past 31 years the couple resided on Cooper St. where Mr. Bellinger owned and operated a farm retiring in 1977. He then was employed by Vigertone Producrs of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, as a field manager. Mr. Bellinger was a member of the Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church, Vernon, where he served on the Board of Directors and for many years acted as Chairman. He also served as a deacon. He was also a member of Sconondoa (?) Lodge #814 of Vernon for the past 30 years. For many years he served as a committeeman for the Dairylee and Agway Corporations. He was also a former member of the Cooperative Extension Society of Oneida County where he served on the Board of Directors for --- years. He was also a past member of the Oneida County Farm Bureau.
Surviving besides his wife are one daughter, Miss Penny Bellinger at home, one brother, Harold Bellinger of Hilton, N.Y.; one sister Mrs. Jack (Betty Jane) Peal of Vernon, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a. m. from Malecki Funeral Home, Inc., Vernon N.Y. Burial will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park, Kirkland. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 2-4 and 7-9. the family suggests that in lieu of floweres, contributions may be made to either the Memorial Fund of teh Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church or the Vernon Public Library.

VERNON — The wedding of Robert William Bellinger, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. William P. Bellinger, Cooper St., to Miss Elinor Enwright, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Enwright, 2530 James St., Syracuse, took place at 8:30 p. m., Saturday in Hendricks Chapel, Syracuse University. The Rev. Nicholas Titus, assisted by the Rev. Charles Schmitz, officiated at the candle-lighted ceremony.
The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Jane Enwright as maid of honor, and Mrs. Jack Pryne, Miss Margaret Anderson, Miss Marilyn Stedman, all of Syracuse, and Miss Betty Jane Bellinger, sister of the bridegroom as bridesmaids. The best man was Harold W. Bellinger, brother of the bridegroom, and ushers were Jack Pryne, Syracuse; Jack Peal and Chet Pohl, Vernon, and Myron Bellinger, cousin of the bridegroom, Utica.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a colonial style dress of silk marquisette, over chantilly lace and slipper satin, the full skirt caught up in front to uncover the tiers of lace, fitted bodice, round yoked neck with a sheering of marquisette forming a cap sleeve. Fitted mits come to a point over the hand. Her train was cathedral length, edged with chantilly lace, and her fingertip veil was of silk illusion fashioned from a coronet of seed pearls. She carried a colonial bouquet of white rosebuds, and her single ornament was a strand of pearls, the gift of the bridegroom.
The maid of honor chose an aqua summer taffeta gown, fashioned after the dress of the bride. She carried a picture hat of leghorn straw with a band of yellow rosebuds affixed about the crown.
Two of the bridesmaids wore pale yellow taffeta, and the other two, pale lavender, and carried leghorn hats with yellow roses attached to the crowns. Their jewelry were single strands of pearls and pearl bracelets, gifts of the bride.
A reception followed in the Colonial room of the Chapel, after which the couple left on an extended tour of the New England States. After October 1, they will be at home in Vernon.
The bride is a graduate of Eastwood High School and Syracuse University, and during the last three years has been a member of the faculty of the New York Mills High School, as Instructor in science. While in college she was a member of Alpha Omicron sorority, Syrcico and a Senior Guide, and is also a member of Pi Lambda Theta, National Educational Honorary.
The bridegroom, a graduate of Vernon High School, is associated in business with his father here.
Prenuptial events for the bride were given by Miss Anne Sullivan and Mrs. Bernard Ruskey, Utica; Miss Margaret Anderson and Mrs. Jack Pryne; Mrs. Alice J. Finnegan, and Mrs. J. W. Quinn; and Miss Marilyn Stedman.
Out of town guests attended from Quonset Point, R. I., New Jersey, Hamilton, Utica, Waterville, Interlaken Miami, Fla., and Vernon.
