Marriage Notes for Cynthia Eileen Cring and Walter C Wolverton Jr

 - Wedding Announcement (Interlake Review, NY, Thursday, July 1, 1971)
  ROMULUS -Miss Cynthia Eileen Cring, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Cring of Romulus became the bride of Walter C. Wolverton, Jr., son of Mrs. Hazel MacCheyne also of Romulus on June 12 at 2p.m. in St Stephen's Episcopal Church. The altar was decorated with white gladiolus.
   The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. William Cooper. Mrs. Lloyd Russell played the organ.
   The bride who was escorted by her father, wore a full length gown of white chiffon over silk trimmed with wide lace and with an empire waistline. Her detachable veil was full length white net with lace and white roses forming a cap. She carried a bouquet of pink roses, white carnations and baby's breath.
   Mrs. Barbara Cring of Geneva, sister-in-law of the bride was matron of honor and wore a full length gown of aqua trimmed with white lace.
   The bridesmaids were Mrs. Jo Ann Cring of Webster, sister-in-law of the bride and Miss Nancy Rooney of Waterloo, cousin of the bride. They wore yellow gowns trimmed with white lace.
   Donald MacCheyne of Lodi, uncle of the groom, was best man. Ushers were Richard Cring of Geneva and Lloyd Robert Cring of Romulus brothers of the bride.
   Miss Susan Cring of Geneva and Miss Ann Marie MacCheyne of Lodi were flower girls and Barry Allen MacCheyne of Interlaken was ring bearer. The girls were gowned in aqua and yellow.
   Mother of the bride wore light blue dress with chiffon sleeves and had a corsage of pink roses and white carnations. The mother of the groom wore a green lace dress with long sleeves and a corsage of yellow roses and white carnations.
  The bride's attendants carried baskets of yellow, aqua and pink daisies. Following the ceremony a reception for 100 guests was held at VFW Post 6200 in Ovid.
   The newlyweds are residing on Rt. 96 in Romulus since their return from their honeymoon spent in Canada and the New England states. Both are graduates of Romulus Central School and the bride is employed at Willard State Hospital.

Marriage Notes for Richard S Cring and Barbara Jean Halsey

  ROMULUS - Mis Barbara Jean Halsley of Arlington, Va., daughtr of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Halsey Jr. of Pierpont, W. Va., and Pfc. Richard Sloan Cring, stationed at Fort Belvoir, Va., son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Cring of Romulus, were married at 9 p.m. Friday, June 11, in a double ring ceremony perormed  by Dr. A. I. Maiden at Arlington, Va.
   The bride wore a white brocade A-line dress, fashioned with a rounded neckline trimmed with white lace tear drops. She wore a corsage of red roses.
  A reception wa held at 1401 N. Taft St. in Arlington after which the couple left on a wedding trip to Ocean City Beach, Md.
  The bride is a graduate of Mullins High School where she held membership for four years in Tri-Hi-Y, Honor Society, Future Homemakers of America. She was a member of the Future Teachers of America where she served as vice president, Pep Club, and Junior editor of the Annual and Future Business Leaders Association.
   She is also a member of the Pierpont Baptist Church and the Youth Fellowship. She is employed with the U. S. Coast Guard in Washington, D. C. as secretary.
   The bridegrom is a graduate of Romulus Central High School, Romulus, where he was active in sports and a member of the Romulus Fire Dept. He was employed at Willard State Hospital as a psychiatric aide and assisted his father at Cring Gulf Station in Romulus.
  He is studying advanced engineering at Fort Balvoir, Va. after which he will return to his home base at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. His wife will accompany hin there in July.
