Charles Hime, 82, of 89 East State Street, died at 3 yesterday afternoon in Littauer Hospital, where he had been a patient for two weeks.
Born in Fort Plain on Oct. 11, 1894, he was the son of Herman and Fanny Putman Hime.
Mr. Hime was a route salesman for Robison and Smith, Inc., for 50 years, retiring in 1969. His first wife, the former Leffie Peterson, died in 1951 and his second wife, the former Mary Kern, died in 1971.
He attended the First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Hime is survived by one son, Robert Hime of Bel Air, Md., and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Lessle May Hime, 63, wife of Charles Hime, who had been ill for several months, died in her home, 23 Eagle street, yesterday afternoon.
Mrs Hime was born in Bleecker in 1860 but had resided in Gloviersville many years. She was a member of the First Methodist church.
Besides her husband, the survivor, are one son. Robert Hime of Forest Hill, Md.; three sisters, Mrs. Verna Brumaghim, Mrs. Ruth Tipaldi and Mr.. Lelah Sutton of Gloversville; six nieces and three nephews.
The body will remain in the family home until Wedesday when it will be taken to the Bledsoe funeral home, 38 Prospect avenue, where the funeral will be held in the afternoon at 2.
The body will be placed in the vault in Prospect Hill cemetery until Spring when burial will be in the Sand Flats cemetery.- Funeral Announcement (The Leader-Republican, Gloversville and Johnstown, NY, Wednesday, February 28, 1952)
The funeral of Mrs. Charles Hime was held this afternoon at 2 in the Bledsoe funeral home, with Rev. H. Lawrence Snow of the First Methodist Church officating.
Flowers were from the First Methodist church, Robison & Smith, employees, drivers, dry clenaing department, office staff, Laundry & Dry Cleaners Union and the fabric department of the Bacmo-Oostman Co.
The bearers were Jack and William Woodcock, John Klim, Frederick Smith, Richard Peterson and Clinton Argotsinger.
The body was palced in the vault in Prospect Hill cemetery for burial in the Sand Flats cmentery in the spring.
Marriage Notes for Robert Charles Hime and Mary Alice Ecker

Miss Mary Alice Ecker, daughter of Harry Ecker of 44 North street, and Private Robert Hime, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hime of 331 Eagle street, were married at 7:30 o'clock last night in the parsonage of the First Methodist church. The Rev. Fred L. Decker, D. D, pastor of the church, officiated.
The attendants were Miss Jean Burnham and George Lathrop of this city.
The bride was gowned in white satin with fingertip veil and carried a bridal bouquet of white carnations.
Miss Burnham wore light blue taffeta with a coronet of red velvet flowers and carried dark red carnations.
A reception followed at the home of the bridegroom's parents. The couple left on a short trip. Private Hime is attached to the United States Army and is stationed at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland.
They will make their home in this city.
Mrs. Hime is employed in dry cleaning department of Robison A Smith laundry.

Only tha immediate family were present. The couple will be at home in Forest Hill, Md., after April 21.
Mra Hime has for several years bean a very efficient member of the Commercial and Savings Bank force at Forest Hill. The bridegroom recently recieved his discharge from the Army after serving four and one-half years in the A. S. F. band at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md.

Mrs. Mary A. Hime, 67, of 89 East State Street died unexpectedly at 12:45 this morning at her home.
She was born May 24, 1903, in Ireland and had resided in Gloversville since 1927. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and Court Santa Maria, Catholic Daughters of America.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Hime; one sister, Mrs. Hanna Walsh of Boston, Mass.; two other sisters and one brother in Ireland, several nieces and nephews.

Howard W. Hime Sr., 72, of East State Street Extension, died at 6 yesterday morning at Homer Folks Hospital, Oneonta, where he had been a patient several days. He was in ill health for several months.
Born in Stone Arabia, he had resided at his last address for a number of years.
Mr. Hime formerly was employed by Frederick Groff, Gloversville ice dealer, later by Quality Daily for several years and also by Mohawk Wood Products Company, Broadalbin, for several years.
He was a member of Mayfield United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Blanche; two sons, Douglas Hime of Gloversville, and Howard W Hime jr. of Gloversville RD; a half-brother, Charles Hime of Gloversville, six grandchildren, a great-grandchild and cousins.
