  Reuben D. Weaver, 75, of 15 Third Street, died about 11 last night at Littauer Hospital where he had been a patient for the last 13 weeks.
  He was born March 29, 1882 in Lassellsville, the son of Francis and Agnes Weaver. He was the husband of Ella Mae Smith who died in 1937.
  He retired form M. Denkert & Sons, Johnstown in 1950. He resided at the Third Street address snce 1953.
  Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Charles Tuttle, Gloversville; three sisters, Mrs Adeline Van Slyke, Wells; Mrs. Victor Hyde, Johonstown; and Mrs. Floyd Palmateer, Rockwood; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and neices and nephews.  - GFG # I 312

  Francis Weaver passed away last evening at 10:30 at his home in Rockwood, N. Y. He had been in failing health since last November and gradually declined until the end. He was 80 years of age.
  Mr. Weaver was born is the Town of Ephratah, October 13, 1853 the son of David Weaver and Eva Smith Weaver. He had spent the greater part of his life in that section.
  The surviving relatives are his wife, Mrs. Agnes Wheeler Weaver; four daughters, Mrs. Dora Van Slyke and Mrs. Victor Hyde of this city; Mrs. Floyd Palmateer of Rockwood and Mrs. Henry Nellis of Sammonsville; two sons, Reuben Weaver of this city and Charles Weaver of Rockwood; thirteen grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
  The body was removed to the A. G. Cole Funeral home to be prepared for burial. Funeral announcements will be made later.


Agnes D Wheeler

  Mrs. Agnes Wheeler Weaver, 75, widow of Francis Weaver, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dora Van Slyke, 211 Burton street, yesterday morning at 4:30. She had been in failing health for the past eight months.
Mrs. Weaver was born in the Town of Johnstown, June 1, 1863, the daughter of Reuben Wheeler and Eliaa Johnson. The greater part of her life was spent in the vicinity of Rockwood. Her husband, Francis Weaver, died February 12, 1934.
  The survivors are four daughters; Mrs. Dora Van Slyke of this city, Mrs. Henry Nellis of Sammnnsville, Mrs. Victor Hyde of Johnstown and Mrs. Floyd Polmateer of Rockwood; two sons, Reuben, of Johnstown, and Charles, of Rockwood; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
  The remains were removed to the A. G. Cole funeral home to be prepared for burial and were taken to the home in Rockwood this afternoon. The funeral will be held at the Rockwood home tomorrow afternoon at 2, Rev. E. L. Swartout Jr., of the Reformed church will officiate and burial will be in the Rockwood cemetery.

  Charles Weaver, 69, collapsed and died at 9:15 yesterday morning while plowing out a driveway at the home of James Cuddy. 12 Rochester St., Fort Johnson, where he was a boarder.
  Dr. Fred F. Pipito, Montgomery County Coroner, who was notified, ruled death had been caused by a heart attack.
  Charles Weaver was born in Caroga. Fulton County, Feb. 7, 1887. the son of Francis and Agnes Wheeler Weaver.
  He was a veteran of World War I and had been employed by the Johnstown Knitting Co., until he retired in 1953. He was a member of Morris J. Edwards American Legion Post 108 at St. Johnsville.
  He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Adeline Van Slyke, and Mrs. Victor Hyde, Johnstown, and Mrs. Floyd Palmateer. Rockwood; a brother. Reuben Weaver, Gloversville, and several nieces and nephews.
  Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 at the Adelbert G. Cole funeral home in Johnstown with the Rev. Charles D. Schwartz conducting the services.
  The body will be placed in the vault at the Johnstown Cemetery for burial in the spring in Rockwood Cemetery.

Besides her husband she is survived by five sons, Cornelius B, Chauncey R, John H, Hiram, of McKinley: Alexander of Flat Creek; three daughters, Ella
M, of McKlnley; Mrs. Charles Fusmer of St Johnsville; Mrs. Thomas B. Smith of Rocheoter; together with four brothers, Abel Weaver of Wagner Hollow, Chauncey of Rockwood and Francis of Caroga and nine grandchildren. The funeral will be held from her late home on Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock.

  Cornelius B. Smith, 68, died Tuesday at the home of his brother, John H. Smith in Stone Arabia section of this town. Mr. Smith was born in the Town of Openheim May 9, 1866 the son of George and Betsy Weaver Smith.
  The survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Reuben Smith of Johnstown and Mrs. Charles Fusmer of Fulton, N.Y.; four brothers. Thomas Smith of Rochester; Alexander Smith of Johnstown; Chauncey Smith of Amsterdam and John H. Smith of Stone Arabia.
  There will be a prayer service at the home at 1 P. M. Friday and the funeral will be at the Stone Arabia church at 2 P. M. with Rev. E. R. Kruizenga, pastor of the Fort Plain Reformed church officiating. Interment will be made in the Rural cemetery at Ephratah.

  Hiram Smith, aged thirty-nine years, died Monday morning at 9 o'clock at the  home of his brother, John Smith, at Youker's Bush. Mr. Smith was taken ill about a week ago of pneumonia and convulsions followed and peritonitis developed Monday, hastening his death. He was a member of Grace christian church of Youker's Bush.
  The surviving relatives are five brothers, John H. Smith, Cornelius B. Smith of Youker's Bush, Chauncy Smith of St, Johnsville, Thomas B, Smith of Rochester and Alexander Smith of Ephratah, and two sisters Mrs.  Reuben Weaver of Ephratah and Mrs, Charles Fusrner of Dolgeville.
  The funeral will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning at the house and at 11 o'clock at the church at Youker's Bush. Rev. H. W. McCrone will officiate. Interment will be at Ephratah.

  Mrs. Evelyn Youngs
  Mrs. Evelyn Youngs, 94, wife of Delbert Youngs died at her home in the Town of Johnstown, Saturday evening at 9:15, after a long illness. She was born in the Town of Oppenheim but had resided in the Town of Johnstown for the past 60 years.
  Besides her husband, the surviving relatives are three sons, Fred Rulison, of this city; Bert Rulison, of Meco, and Norman Gates, of the Town of Johnstown; one daughter, Mrs. Jennie Kessel, of Rockwood; a half-sister, Mrs. Northrup, of Johnstown, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
  The body was removed to the Duignan Funeral Chapel, 27 West Fulton street, where the funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30. The service will be conducted by the Rev. L. B. Randall, of the Fremont Street M. E. church, and the body will be placed in the receiving vault in Fern Dale cemetery.


Nelson Somerville Rulison

 - Nelson Rulison was married to Evaline Weaver, daughter of Frederick Weaver and Eva Christman, daughter of Nicholas and Mary Christman of Ephratah. Nicholas and Mary were first cousins. There is no known
date of death for Nelson Rulison. While pregnant with their last child, Nelson, a pedler, with his brother Harmon, disappeared while supposedly making his pedler's route. After days of searching, no trace of his wagon and horses, nor he and his brother, were found. Years later, Nelson appeared in a Federal Census in Michigan, with new wife and two children.

  Norman Gates, 67, died yesterday about 11:30 A. M. at Klipp Hill in the Town of Johnstown. He had been ill for four years.
  Mr. Gates was born in Meco and had lived in that vicinity all his life. At one time he was employed by the Gloversville Knitting Co.
  The survivors aje his wife, Sarah: one half-brother, Bert Rulison of the Town of Johnstown and one half-sister, Mrs. Emma Kessel of Rockwood and several nieces and nephews.
  The body was taken to the Eugene Hollenbeck funeral home, 24 Spring street. Funeral arrangements will be announced.

  Abram Weaver, aged 70 years, died at his home In Gloversville at 8:40 o'clock Saturday evening after an illness of about one year. He had been a member of the First Baptist church for the past 20 years. He was also a member of the Col. Sammons post No. 242, G. A. R. of Gloversville, being a veteran of the 153rd regiment Co. F. New York State Volunteers. Besides his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Weaver, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Fred Saxton and three grandchildren. Alade E., Ellen, and Hugh Abram Saxton, all of Gloversville, and five sisters, Mrs. Caroline Clothier, of New York City, Mrs. George Dingman, of Meco, Mrs. Giles A. Northrup, of Glen, Mrs. P. J. Fitzpatrick, of Gloversville, and Mrs. William Grovenstine, of St. Johnsville.
  The funeral will be held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. the Rev. A. B. Sears, will officiate and interment will be in the North Bush Cemetery.

  Mrs. Elisabeth Stearns Weaver, 86, widow of Abram Weaver, Civil War veteran, died at 11:26 last evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Almlra Saxton. 66 North Arlington avenue. She had been in poor health for several years.
  Widely known and highly esteemed, the death of Mrs. Weaver will bring sincere sorrow to many friends throughout the community. She was revered for her kindly Christian character and her genial and friendly personality.
  Born March 2, 1846, Mrs. Weaver was the daughter of Ellzy and Catherine Stearns. She was married to the late Mr. Weaver April 2, 1866. She was the last of a family of four children.
  A devout and faithful member of the First Baptist church of this city, Mrs. Weaver served faithfully in many departments of the church and Sunday school. She was a member of the Home department of the Sunday school and also a member of the Women's Relief Corps as long as her health permltted.
  Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Almlra Saxton of this city; three grandchildren, Mrs. Frank Weaver of Lake Pleasant and Mrs. Ellen Weaver and Hugh A. Saxton, of Gloversville; one grand-daughter, Ruth A. Weaver of Lake Pleasant, and three nephews.
  The body was removed to the Kennedy Funeral home. Funeral services, which will be private to relatives, will be conducted at 10 A. M., Wednesday. The Rev. Will Dyre McCurdy, D. D., will officiate. Interment will be made at North Bush.

  DROWING NEAR EPHRATAH - Truman Weaver, of Ephratah, Saturday evening in company with other young men went to the pond at Glasgow's. Young Weaver undressed rapidly and jumping into the water was drowned before his companions could render any assistance. His body was found near where he sank in about six feel of water. He was 21 years of age.

  Giles Adelbert Northup. 79, died Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the home of his. son, Clarence A. Northup. Town of Mohawk. He had been in failing health for some time.
  Mr. Northup was born April 10, 1858, in Fayettevllle. N. Y., the son of William and Harriet K. Eaton Northup. He had resided with his son in the Town of Mohawk for about six months. His wife, Jennie Weaver Northup, died about two years ago.
  He worked in Johnstown until 1900, when he moved to a farm in Glen. He lived a retired life in Nelllston for a number of years. He was a carpenter by trade.
  The survivors, besides the son with whom he resided, are one daughter, Mrs. Seeber Grandy, Johnstown: one step-son, Milo B. Hillegas. Cumberland Head, N. Y.; seven grandchildren, two nephews and one niece.
  The funeral will be held at the A, G. Cole funeral home in Johnstown, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Harlow W. Parsons, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Johnstown, will officiate and interment will be in the Maple Avenue Cemetery, Fultonville.

  Charles Ftupatrick, 53, an employe of the Gelaler A Lehr Co. leather mill, in Johnstown, who was stricken with a heart attack while on an F J & G bus yesterday shortly after noon, died this morning at 2:15 at Nathan Littauer Hospital.
  Mr. Fitzpatrick boarded the bus near the mill and was returning to Gloversvllle. Before he reached Broad and Sofllh Main streets, he was taken ill and rushed to the hospital in a police prowl car. He had suffered a stroke and failed to rally after entering the hospital,
  Mr. Fitzpatrick had made his home at 1 Mohawk Place where he had boarded for some time, with Mrs. Anna Jackson. Ha was a member of the Fremont Street M E church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
  The only near survivor is a brother, Willard Fitzpatrick of Scotia.
  The body was taken to the Kennedy Funeral Home, 150 South Main street. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

  ST. JOHNSVILLE. Sept. 21— Mrs. William Gravenstein died at her home Wednesday evening after a long illness. She was formerly Myra Weaver of I.assellsville and was 68 years of age. She is survived by her husband two daughters, Mrs. C A. Robinson of Chaumont, N. Y. and Miss Edith M. Gravenstein, and one Son, C. Oscar Gravenstein of Deansboro; also two sisters, Mrs, C. Cottier of New York city and Mrs. G. A. Northrup of Nelliston. There are also six surviving grandchildren. Mrs. Gravenstein was a member of the Methodist church.
   The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from her home. Rev. J, D. Poppe of the M. E. church officiated.

  St Johnsville, Aug. 15.—William Gravenstein, 81, died at his home Just east of the village early yesterday morning. He was a resident of St. Johnsville for the past fifty years and was widely known and respected. He was born in Germany and came to this country as an infant of three months. His parents were Nicholas and Anna Kassel Gravenstein. He was reared in the Crum Creek neighborhood and married Myra Weaver of Lassellsville, who died some years ago. For many years he was employed as baggage master and freight assistant of the New York CentraL For the past eleven years he has lived retired on pension. Surviving are one son. Oscar, of Deansboro, two daughters. Mrs. Clark Robtnson and Miss Ethel, of this village, also two grandchildren. The funeral will be held Friday at 2 p. m. at the house, with the Rev. J. D. Poppe, of Clayvllle, a former local M. E pastor, officiating. Interment in Prospect View cemetery.
