Miss Margaret Anna Saltsman daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Saltsman. R. D. 1, Verona, became the bride of Charles Lewis Streator, son of Mrs. Abbie Streator, R. D. 3, Camden, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Churchville, on Saturday at 2 p m. The Rev. Theodore A Schrader, officiated using the double ring ceremony.
Preceding the ceremony Miss Leora Dunham sang "Because," and “I Love You Truly." A prelude of organ selections was played by Miss Ruth Baum, cousin of the bride.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of slipper satin and ninon, fashioned with a satin bodice, sweetheart neckline, long fitted sleeves pointed at the wrist, full skirt of ninon trimmed with bows of satin braid and long train. Her fingertip illusion veil, edged with a border of Chantilly lace, fell from a coronet of beads. She also wore a necklace of pearls with earrings to match and carried an arm bouquet of white roses.
Mrs Paul Sayles, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a gown of pink French marquisette with sweetheart neckline, puff sleeves, full gathered skirt of marquisette over taffeta with white accessories and a pink rose tiara with lace veil. She carried an arm bouquet of yellow roses.
The bridesmaids were Miss Leora Dunham, who wore a gown of aqua mousseline de Sine, with gold accessories, and Miss Elaine White, in a gown of blue net over taffeta with white accessories. Both wore mitts and tiaras to match and carried colonial bouquets.
The flower girl was little Jacqueline Dombrowski, wearing white mousseline de sme floor-length gown with a halo of sweet peas. The ring bearer was Merlyn Saltsman. wearing a white linen suit.
The best main was William Streator, brother of the bridegroom.The attendants were Kenneth Streator and Edwin Streator, also brothers of the bridegroom. The ushers were Orson Dunham, Jr. and Vernon Sherman, cousins of the bride and bridegroom.
The bride's mother wore navy blue crepe with white accessories and corsage of yellow roses and baby's breath. Mrs Streator wore pink crepe with white accessories and a corsage of white roses and forget-me-nots.
The church was trimmed with garden flowers A reception for 130 guests was held at the church dining room, which was trimmed in pink and white.
Showers were given by Mrs. Abbie Streator at Camden and Miss Leora Dunham of Oneida.
After a short trip to Niagara Falls they will be at their home, 709 N James Street Rome. Both are employed by the Rome Specialty Co. Inc.

Elizabeth ("Betty") Jane Majors, 92, passed away quietly in her sleep on October 8, 2022.
She was born on September 13, 1930, in Floral Park, New York. Betty was the only child of the late William "Bill" Henry Snedeker and Florence Gladys Saltsman.
Betty moved from New York to the Florida Keys in the mid-1950's and fell in love with the sun and saltwater. At 26 years old, she purchased a small bar on Islamorada and it soon became quite the hot spot for thirsty fisherman.
She met and married her husband, Charles Floyd Majors. In search of new opportunities, the couple moved to Palm Beach County in the early-60's where they eventually purchased a hotel, restaurant, and nightclub on Singer Island. In 1985, she was named Senior Vice-President with Universal Hotels as well as serving on the Board of Directors for the Palm Beach and Martin County Hotel and Motel Association. After working in the hotel/restaurant business for 40 years, she began a new career in her late 60's working for AAA where she received many accolades as top sales performer.
Following her husband's death, Betty moved to Franklin, NC to be near her daughter. Betty was a devoted daughter and wife, and a loving mother and grandmother. Betty was also a proud member of the DAR.
Betty is survived in death by her daughter, Monique Sutton (husband Hardee Sutton), and stepson, Richard Michael Majors; grandson, Jordan Sutton (wife Asia) and granddaughter, Kayla Youstin (husband Ty) and two great-grandchildren, Olivia and James Youstin, as well as many cousins in and around Palatine, New York.
At her request, a private family service will be held.

PORT ST. LUCIE - Charles Floyd Majors, 82, of Port St. Lucie died Friday, Feb. 21, 1997 in Columbia Medical Center-Port St Lucie.
A native of Mount Carmel Ill he lived in Port St. Lucie for three years. He moved here from West Palm Beach.
He was a charter boat captain.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Majors of Port St. Lucie: a son, Richard Majors of Port St. Lucie; a daughter, Monique Sutton and husband Hardee of West Palm Beach and two grandchildren Jordan and Kayla Sutton of West Palm Beach.
Services will be Saturday, March 1, at Morningside Ministries Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of All County Funeral Home Crematory.

the bride was graduated in 1963 from Oneonta High School and in 1966 from Ellis Hospital School of Nursing, Schenectady. She is employed as a registered nurse at Fox Hospital, Oneonta.
The bridegroom was a 1963 graduate of fort Plain Central School. He is serving in the Navy and is stationed at Norfolk, Va.

A beautifully appointed church wedding was celebrated late yesterday afternoon at the Church of the Angels when Miss Fern Gardner became the bride of Russell Hurlbert, the Rev Clay Legge officiating. Mrs Richard O'Neil was matron of honor and little Marilynn Cooper of Marehalltown, Iowa, a niece of the brid0,e was flower girl. Harold Hurlbert was best man and the ushers were Orlen Hurlbert and Donald Montgomery.
The bride wore a dainty frock of white pussywillow taffeta elaborated with tiny pink roses and real lace with an overdress of white chiffon, made en bouffant lines. Her hat was of white horsehair and trimmed in pink meline and silver ribbon. She carried a shower of bride roses and lilies of the valley. Mrs O'Neil wore a gown of pale blue chiffon over blue and gold taffeta with a blond Neapolitan straw hat trimmed in pink roses. She carried pink roses. A peach-colored frock was worn by the little flower girl who carried a French basket filled with rose petals.
After the wedding ceremony a reception for members of the bridal party and relatives was held at the home of the bride's parents, Mr and Mrs Gardner. Mr and Mrs Hurlbert left for a motor trip to Carmel, Yosemite and other Northern resorts. They will live in Los Angeles. Mr Hurlbert is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Hurlbert of Glendale. He was graduated from the University of Southern Califonia.His bride was graduated this summer from the University of California, Southern Branch. The bride's sister, Mrs. A. R. Cooper, with her two little daughters, Bee and Marilyn, came her[e] from Marshalltown, Iowa for the wedding.
