Brandt, George Jr.
Greenfield, Indiana: George Brandt, Jr., age 80, a resident of Greenfield, formerly of Rochester, New York, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2008, at the Methodist Yellow Rose Hospice, Indianapolis.
He was born January 4, 1928 in Rochester, New York.
He retired from the US Army after 23 ½ years of service and was in security with Eastman Kodak of Rochester, New York.
He is survived by his wife, Loie K. (Hoyt) Brandt of Greenfield; son, Alden (Elizabeth) Brandt of Boca Raton, Florida; daughter, Loie (Richard) Ippolito of Greenfield; and the Khanijow families of Huntsville, Alabama and Atlanta, Georgia.
There will be no services. Burial will be in Maine at a later date.

Loie K. (Hoyt) Brandt, age 91, of Rochester, New York, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born October 2, 1928 in Corina, Maine to the late Harold and Myrita (Pipes) Hoyt.
Loie married George Brandt, Jr. on December 24, 1949. She was a beautician for many years prior to her retirement. Loie loved sports cars and enjoyed doing auto and tractor repair. She was a pilot and loved to fly single engine planes. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by her children, Loie (Richard) Ippolito and Alden (Elizabeth) Brandt; her beloved extended Khanijow family of Madison, Alabama and Austin, Texas; niece, Eunice Watson; nephew, Harry (Sandra) Riddell; and great-niece, Gwen Riddell.
Services for Loie will be held in the spring at the Center Cemetery in Corinna, Maine.

The couple have an apartment at 24 Buchan Park.

Charles Willard Compton - SAVANNAH - Charles Willard Compton, 85, of Savannah, Georgia and widower of Carolyn Bacon DeAngelis Compton, died Monday evening, October 1, 2012, at Candler Hospital. Born in Oneonta, New York, he was a son of the late James Lloyd Compton and the late Helen Gage Compton. He was a United States Navy veteran and was a retired forester with International Paper. Surviving are one daughter, Carolyn Ruth Compton of Bradenton, Florida; two sons, James Compton and his wife, Deborah, of Biloxi, Mississippi, and Stephen Charles Compton and his wife, Gail, of Brandon, Mississippi; three grandchildren and five step-daughters, Pamela Duncan and her husband, Alan, of Greensboro, North Carolina, Debbie D. Cannon and her husband, Jimmy, of Savannah, Georgia, Mindy Hartley and her husband, Don, of Byron, Georgia, Karen D. Yaun and her husband, Dick, of Richmond Hill, Georgia, and Donna DeAngelis Williams and her husband, Phil, of Atlanta, Georgia. Baskets of white gladioli and red carnations were featured in the floral decor at the United Methodist Church in Kalispell, Mont., for the wedding of Miss Laurie A. Graves and Charles A. Cummings.
The Rev. John Lewis read the vows for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leland E. Graves, E11814 Skyview, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bayliss Cummings Jr., Kalispell.
Lace appliques enhanced the bride's gown. A matching headpiece held her veil, She carried a red poinsettia encircled with white stephanotis.
Miss Sue Bates, Pocatello was maid of honor and the Misses Kristi R. Graves and Terri K. Graves, sisters of the bride were bridesmaids. They wore green velvet gowns trimmed with white lace and carried red poinsettias encircled with white carnations.
Cliff Johnson, Kalispell, served as best man. Ushers were Stefe Rovig, Bozeman, Mont., and the bridegrooms brothers, John Cummings, Longview, and Steve Cummings, Dallas, Tex.
Out-of-town guests included the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Graves, Sandpoint, Idaho, and the bridegroom's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cummings and family, Longview.
The couple are residing in Boseman, where both are attending Montana State University.

EAST SPRINGFIELD — Roberta Eckler Galusha, 85, of East Springfield, died Wednesday, March 15, 2006, after a long illness in Lake Worth, Texas.
Mrs. Galusha was born June 12, 1920, in Syracuse, to Leslie and Bernice Cotton Eckler. She was raised in the Van Hornesville-Jordanville area, and graduated from Van Hornesville Central School.
She married William G. Flint, and they raised three children, Gary, Linda and David, in Starkville.
Roberta later married Robert Galusha and they lived in East Springfield until his death.
She moved to Azle, Texas, in September 2001, to be near her sons. Her mother, father and stepfather preceded her in death.
Roberta's children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.
The family respectfully requests that donations be made to the National Alzheimer's Association, or any local Hospice organization.
Survivors include sons, Gary and his wife, Shirley, and David and his wife, Patricia, all of Azle, Texas; daughter, Linda Abowd of Burke, Va.; brother, Donald Eckler and his wife, Ethel, of Jordanville; grandchildren, Michael and his wife, Tonya, Dale and his wife, Amy, Renee' Older and Jennifer Flint; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

NELLBTON — LeRoy G. Eckler, 58, of Town of Herkimer, a former area resident, died Saturday at his home after a long illness.
Born May 25, 1918, in Herkimer, he was the son of Everett and Ada Lowell Eckler.
He married the former lama E. Conrad on July 27, 1937, in St. Johnsville. The couple lived in Nelliston before moving to the Herkimer area.
Mr. Eckler was employed for 20 years by New York Central Railroad, and for seven years by Chicago Pneumatic, Utica, retiring in 1971.
A veteran of World War II, he served with the Army in the 135th Infantry and was in the Po Valley campaign in Italy.
Mr. Eckler was member of United Methodist Church, Herkimer.
Surviving are his wife; his mother, residing in Nelliston; a son, Robert L. of Herkimer RD 1; two brothers, William of Lake Park, Fla., and Victor of Freys Bush; a sister, Mrs. Norman Kneeskern of Nelliston; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A service wsa conducted Tuesday at Herkimer.
Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer area.
