  William Keith "Bill" Morse, 88, passed away October 6, 2010 due to complications from a broken neck. He resided at 835 North 900 West in the Rose Park neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah at the time of his death.
  World War II and Korean War veteran. Graduated from the University of Utah with a B.S. in Geology. Worked for the Utah DOT for twenty-five years.
   Funeral Services will be held on October 16, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. in the Rose Park Ward Chapel, 760 North 1200 West, Salt Lake City, Utah.

  Ralph L. Smith, 73, of Crookston, died early Tuesday morning, December 16, 2003 at the Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.
  Ralph was born on February 11, 1930, at Alida, the son of George and Sarah Smith. He was baptized and confirmed at the Alida Lutheran Church and attended Alida School.
  On December 30, 1949, Ralph was united in marriage to Mary Kincaid at Victor, West Virginia. The couple farmed in Alida until moving to Crookston in 1964. Ralph worked at the Paddy and Paul Service Station before beginning his career with the Minnesota Highway Department in 1968. He retired from MN/DOT in 1992 after many years of dedicated service.
  Mary passed away on January 8, 1992.
  Ralph was an avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing with his grandchildren, and working in his garden. He also served the Crookston Police Reserve for 25 years.
Ralph was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, a 30 years member of Crookston Eagles Aerie #873, and had served as union steward for the AFL-CIO for MN/DOT for many years. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and many friends.
  Loving family members include two sons, Steve (Jaclyn) Smith of Bemidji, and Randy Smith of Crookston; five daughters, Linda (Larry) Thomas of Bruce, South Dakota, Debbie Strande, and Sharon Bartrum both of Crookston, Vicki (Rod) Gilbertson of De Smet, South Dakota, and Susie Smith of Crookston; 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two brothers in law; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
  Besides his wife Mary, Ralph was preceded in death by three sisters, Esther Peppin, Francis Rose, and Edna Morse; three brothers, Walter Smith, Don Smith, and Earl "Bud" Smith; and two half brothers, George Smith and James Smith.
The funeral service for Ralph Smith will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2003 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Visitation will be on Thursday at the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, and also for an hour before the funeral at the church.
  Interment will be in the Alida Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. in Friday.
  The Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home of Crookston assisted the family with arrangements.

  Mary Lee Smith, 56, Crookston, died at the Riverview Hospital in Crookston on Wednesday, January 8, 1992, following a lengthy illness.
  Mary Kincaid was born on June 9, 1935, in Victor, West Virginia, to Charles and Sylvia (Chapman) Kincaid.
  On December 30, 1949 she was united in marriage to Ralph Smith at Victor. They moved to the Alida area and in 1964 moved to Crookston. Mary had been employed at the Riverview Hospital in Crookston until June of 1991. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
  Survivors include her husband, Ralph; two sons, Steve of Bemidji and Randy of Crookston; five daughters, Linda Thomas of Bruce, South Dakota, Debbie Strande of Crookston, Sharon Bartrum of Winona, West Virginia, Vicki Gilbertson of DeSmet, South Dakota, and Sue Smith of Crookston; 17 grandchildren; and a sister, Blendine Cramer of Columbus, Ohio.
  She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Letty Smith of Crookston and Shirley Edman of Alida.
  Her funeral was held Saturday, January 11, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Crookston. Interment was in Alida Cemetery. Stenshoel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

  Raymond E. Nesbitt, 79 of rural Alexis, IL died at 2:07 P.M. Sunday, July 19, 2009 at his home.
  He was born May 4, 1930 in Alexis, IL the son of William A. and Edna G. (Smith) Nesbitt. He was reared and educated in Alexis.
  He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1951 until 1953 during the Korean War.
  Raymond married Gertrude Powell in Monmouth on April 13, and she survives.
  Raymond retired from BNSF Railroad in 1991 after 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, NASCAR, working outside and Pug dogs.
  He was a member of the American Legion and the Transportation Communication International Union.
  His family includes his wife, Gertrude, three sons, John William (Cindy) Nesbitt of Gladstone, Albert (Beth Lewis) Nesbitt of Grand Island, NE and Daniel Allen Nesbitt of Galesburg, 6 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren along with a numerous nieces and nephews.
  He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
  Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Alexis with Msgr Ernest Pizzamiglio of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Alexis Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday after 3:00 P.M. at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Alexis where his family will be present from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Memorial may be left to the Donor's Choice.

  Celebration of Life Services for Adeline F. Borgman was held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Christian Church in Edison, Nebraska with Pastors Keith Theobald and Kirk Einspahr officiating. Inurnment was held at the Emerald Cemetery in Lancaster County, Nebraska near Emerald, Nebraska on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Roger Fletcher officiating.
  Adeline F. Borgman, 93 years of age, of Beaver City, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the Beaver City Manor. Adeline was born on July 23, 1922 at Milford, Nebraska, the second of five children born to Samuel and Norma Adele (Bosma) Pennington. She was baptized at the First Christian Church in Beaver City and confirmed at the Lutheran Church in Pleasant Dale in 1936. She received her education from Pleasant Dale Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1938. Following graduation, she pursued higher education at the Lincoln Business School in Lincoln, Nebraska.
  On August 12, 1942, she was united in marriage to Ivan Christian Borgman in the lobby of the WCTU Dormatory at the Lincoln Business School. They were blessed with six children: Ronald Ivan, Barbara Adele, La Lonnie Lee, Chris Deanne, Jeri Ruth and Michael James. The family made their home in several communities throughout Nebraska including: Milford, Denton, Huntley, Edison, and Oxford, until settling to Beaver City, where Adeline was employed by the Beaver City ASCS office. In 1973, they relocated to Hartington and Coleridge, Nebraska areas, where she worked at the ASCS office until her retirement in 1985, when they returned to Beaver City. In 2005, they began to make their home in Lincoln at the Waterford Assisted Living Center and later returned to Beaver City. Ivan preceded her in death on August 21, 2008.
  As past-times Adeline enjoyed sewing and playing the piano. She loved cooking and canning, but most importantly, the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was treasured. Throughout the years they enjoyed attending the First Christian Church in Beaver City and the Edison Christian Church.
  Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Carol Storz in infancy; son-in-law, Gary Gibson; brother, Edward Pennington and his wife, Alice and sister, Donna Martin and her husband, Earl “Bud” Martin.
  Adeline leaves to celebrate her life; her six children: Ronald Borgman and his wife, Gloria of Spearfish, South Dakota, Barbara Bay and her husband, Riley of Kearney, Nebraska, La Lonnie Marschel and her husband, Rick of Woodland Park, Colorado, Chris Chesterman and her husband, Dennis of Beaver City, Jeri Gibson of Lincoln and Michael Borgman of Beatrice, Nebraska; 14 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 1 foster grandson; numerous great-grandchildren; step great-grandchildren; foster great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; two sisters: Phyllis Beaty and her husband, Byron of Englewood, Colorado and June Boerrigter and her husband, Dale of Escondido, California; along with a many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
