Miss Eckler recieved a BS degree from Emerson college, Boston. Mr. Kelman will continue his styudied in speech pathology and audiology at Emerson college in the fall.

RICHFIELD SPRINGS-Clark Shoemaker Jr. age 89 of Main Street passed away on Monday morning October 25, 2010 in the Otsego Manor, Cooperstown.
He was born on March 2, 1921 in Ilion, son of the late Clark M. and Neita Bush Shoemaker. A lifelong area resident he was educated in Ilion and VanHornesville public schools.
On June 7, 1939 he was united in marriage with the former Beulah Willsey in Springfield Center.
A veteran of World Was II he enlisted in the US Army in 1944 and served in Central Europe and the Rhineland. He was the recipient of the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He was honorably discharged on January 26, 1946, attaining the rank of PFC.
Mr. Shoemaker was a machine operator; he first worked for the Remington Arms Company in Ilion. In 1940 he went to work for UNIVAC-UNICES until 1978 and then returned to Remington Arms, retiring in 1983.
Clark was a member of the Church of Christ Uniting, Richfield Springs. In his leisure time he enjoyed playing cards, bingo and the fellowship he shared with his many friends at the Senior Center. He will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his loving wife of seventy-one years Beulah, one daughter, Carolyn Ann Hugick, one son David Shoemaker and wife Sharon all of Richfield Springs, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter and one great-great grandson.
A graveside funeral service with military honors will be held on Friday at 2:00pm in Springfield Center Cemetery. The Reverend Deborah Waldron, Pastor of the Church of Christ Uniting, Richfield Springs will officiate. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are with J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, Richfield Springs.
