  Funeral services for William C. Sharpe, 8, and Steven N. Sharpe, 7, of 732 S. James St., who drowned yesterday in the Barge Canal, will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Martin J. Nunn Funeral Home.
  The Rev. Paul A. Boriack, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Westmoreland Union Cemetery.
  Calling hours at the funeral home are today and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
  The boys are survived by their parents, James C. and Anna B. Halliwell Sharpe Sr.; a sister, A. Christine Sharpe, 11; a brother, James C, Sharpe, 10; their paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George F. Sharpe, Camden, and their maternal grandfather, Caradoc Halliwell, Rome.
  Steven was born Jan. 1, 1963, and William, Oct. 6, 1961, both in Rome. Steven was a first grade pupil at Dewitt Clinton School, and his brother was in second grade. William was also a member of the Cub Scouts.
   Both boys were members of St. John's Lutheran Church.

  Mohawk - Miss Barbara Kaples, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Kaples. 11 Warren Rd., was married at 11 a. m. today to Richard Monohan, son of Mrs Blanche, Monohan, 172 Otsego St., Ilion, in the Church of the Annunciation, Ilion. The Rev. John Nolan, assistant pastor, officiating.
  Miss JoAnn Keller was vocalist; and sang, "Ave Maria.” The organist was Rudolph Backman.
  Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle, made with a sheer yoke and choker of pearls and beads. The shoulder-to-shoulder neckline was outlined with beads and pearls, and the gown was made with a tight fitted lace bodice. The full nylon tulle skirt, fashioned with panels of lace ended in a long circular train. Her scalloped fingertip veil of French illusion, edged with imported lace, was attached to a tiara of beads and pearls. She carried a bouquet of white roses and lilies-of-the-valley.
  Miss Norma Hartman, maid of honor, chose an orchid organdy gown and picture hat. She carried a Colonial bouquet of pink and white carnations and gladioli. The Misses Louise Hawver, Mary Jane Locke. Eleanor Olds and Carol Kaples, bridesmaids, wore gowns of pink, blue, yellow and, green with matching picture hats and carried Colonial bouquets of gladioli. John Monohan, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were William West, Chris Monohan, Kenneth Morton and Michael Bouck.
  The bride’s mother was dressed in blue organdy with a corsage of red roses and the bridegroom’s mother in green satin with a corsage of pink roses.
  After a reception from 11:30 a. m. to 3 p. m. at the bride’s home, the couple left on a wedding trip to Washington, D. C. On their return they will reside at 172 Otsego St., Ilion. For traveling, Mrs. Monohan will wear a blue frosted odgandy dress with white accessories.
  The bride is a graduate of the Mohawk Central School, class of 1947. The bridegroom attended Ilion High School and is employed at Remington Arms.
  Pre-nuptial events were given by Carol Kaples, Mary Jane Lock, Louise Hawver and Eleanor Olds. Guests attended the wedding from Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, Connecticut. Richfield Springs and Valley towns

  MOHAWK - The Blessed Sacrament Church, decorated with white gladioli, was the setting for the double ring ceremony uniting in marriage Miss Joyce Reinhardt and William Kaples at 11 a.m Sept. 22 with Rev. Anthony C. Adams, pastor, officiating.
  The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold A. Reinhardt, and the bridegroom the son of Mrs. Ira Kaples, 11 Warren Rd., and the late Ira William Kaples.
  Traditional wedding music was played by Miss Betty Smith.
  Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride chose a floorlength gown of slipper satin and Chantilly lace, with a fitted lace bodice and long tapered sleeves ending in bridal points. Her bouffant skirt was trimmed with lace medallions, irridescents and seed pearls. The satin chapel train was accented at the waist back with a lace bustle. Her crown of pearls and sequins held a wrist-length veil of tulle. She carried a prayer book centered with an orchid.
  Mrs. Ronald Goldstein, matron of honor and sister of the bride, wore a street-length gown of red polvet, with red satin trim. Her headpiece was a red velvet ribbon and short veil. Her bouquet was of white carnations and red rose buds.
  Bridesmaids, Miss Janice Reinhardt and Miss Joan Reinhardt, sisters of the bride, wore identical gowns to the matron of honor’s, and carried similar bouquets. Miss Joyce Monohan, flower girl, was dressed in a white street-length gown, and carried a basket of white carnations and red rose buds.
  Richard Monohan, bridegroom’s brother-in-law, served as best man. Ushering were Richard Reinhardt, bride's brother and Ronald goldstein, bride's brother-in-law. Master Steven West was ring bearer.
  The couple left on a trip to Canada, following a reception in the Ilion Moose Club. They are now residing in Jacksonburg.
  The new matron is a graduate of Mohawk Central School and is employed by Allegro Shoe Co. The bridegroom is also a graduate of Mohawk Central School, and is affiliated with Valley Electric Co,
  Pre-nuptial events were given by Mrs. Ronald Goldstein, the Misses Janice and Joan Reinhardt, Mrs. Ira Kaples, Mrs. William West and Mrs. Richard Monohan.
   Out-of-town guests attending were from Binghamton, Utica, and Valley towns.

      Marguerite Jane Moschetto, age 84, of Warren Street, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, November 21, 2012, in the Masonic Care Community, Utica.
  She was born on December 17, 1927, in Mohawk, daughter of the late George and Marguerite Gokey Stickles. Marguerite was raised in Herkimer and was a graduate of Herkimer High School. On July 3, 1954, she was united in marriage with William Moschetto in Saint Francis deSales Church, Herkimer. They made their home in Herkimer, where together they shared a loving union of forty-five years until his passing on May 3, 1999.
  Mrs. Moschetto was a devoted housewife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A warm and caring person, she had a special place in her heart for children and for many years took great pleasure babysitting. In her leisure time, she enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint and playing bingo. To all who knew her, they will always remember her unforgettable smile. She will be truly missed.
  Surviving her are a daughter-in-law, Linda Moschetto, of Mohawk; five grandchildren, Peter J. Moschetto and his wife, Karli, of Middletown, CT, Cindy Cirillo and her husband, Peter, of East Herkimer, Melissa Moschetto, of Mohawk, Jennifer Lord, of Richfield Springs, and Christina Bawolak and her husband, William, of Richfield Springs; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, William, she was preceded in death by a son, Peter J. Moschetto, Sr., this past June; one sister, Betty Rathbun; and a grandson, William Moschetto.
  Funeral service for Mrs. Moschetto will take place on Wednesday (today) at 10:00 a.m. in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer.

  FAIRFIELD - Mr. John G. Garlock. 61, of Rt. 29, died March 27, 1988, in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital.
  Mr. Garlock was born September 22, 1926. in Mohawk, a son of Mrs. Lottie Brown Garlock of Fairfield, and the late George H. Garlock. He received his education at Mohawk School and was married to the former June P. Harrad on April 16, 1949, in Dolgeville. Mr. Garlock was employed as an auto mechanic at several different garages, retiring from the former Perkins Buick & Cadillac in Herkimer in 1972 due to ill health. He was of the Methodist Faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
  Survivors, besides his wife and mother, include two daughters. Mrs. Ronald (Joanne) Thomas, of Middleville, and Mrs. Paul (Janette) Miller, of Syracuse: one son and daughter-in-law, John and Michele Garlock, of Newport; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Marion Huckabone, of Ilion, Pearl Miller, of Mohawk, and Mrs. Charles (Ruby) Willoughby, of Middleville; one brother. Robert Garlock, of Fairfield; and several nieces and nephews.
  A memorial service will be held at The Autemith Funeral Home, Newport, on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Margaret Smith, Pastor of the United Methodist Church of Middleville, officiating. Cremation took place with interment to follow in Fairfield Cemetery later in the spring.

Glenn William Huckabone

  Middleville - Glenn W. Huckabone, age 85, formerly of Herkimer St, passed away on Thursday evening May 4, 2006 in Valley Health Services.
  One of thirteen children, he was born on May 31, 1920 in the town of Russia son of the late Joseph and Arlie Smith Huckabone where he was raised and educated. On July 24, 1951 he married Marion Garlock in Newport. She died in 1999. For over twenty-five years he worked for the Dairyman League in Middleville and for fifteen years for Remington Arms retiring in 1983.
  He had a strong belief in God, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Herkimer/Little Falls for over fifty years and was also a member of the Oppenheim Senior Citizens. Glen loved the outdoors and nature. He enjoyed taking long rides and marveled at the changing seasons of the countryside. His family has fond memories of their days of picking blackberries and apples. He will always be remembered for his contagious smile, his wit and friendly manner. He will be greatly missed by many, especially his family.
  Surviving are his son, Dale Huckabone of Middleville, three daughters and their husbands, Donna and Timothy Wilson of Ilion, Wanda Dougherty and Donald Lindsay of Frankfort, Debbie and Frank Cimo of Ilion, seven grandchildren, Bernie Conklin and his fiancé Kim Twiggs of Ct, Melinda and David Hewitt of VA, David and Christy Gay of Poland, April Gay and her companion Frank Arrigo of Ilion, Frank Cimo III of Ilion, Daniel Cimo of Herkimer, Michael and Vicki Cimo of Mohawk, eight great-grandchildren, two very special nieces, Millie Parks of Mohawk, and Mildred "Tootie" Williams of Ilion, several nieces and nephews and friends.
  Funeral service will be on Monday at 1:00 p.m. in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer. The Reverend Wrightson Tongue, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Herkimer/Little Falls will officiate. Interment will take place in Woodin Corners Cemetery, the town of Russia.

  Mr. Robert W. Garlock Sr., 75, of 472 Pine Bush Rd., passed away on Wednesday morning, July 16, 2008, in Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown. At the time of his passing, he had the support of his loving family at his side.
  He was born in Mohawk on November 2, 1932, son of the late George and Lottie (Brown) Garlock, and attended Mohawk schools. He resided in Fairfield at one time and was last employed with North Hudson Woodcraft of Dolgeville, retiring in 1992.
  Mr. Garlock is survived by one son, Robert W. Garlock Jr. of Mohawk; four daughters, Roberta Hall and companion, Dale Battisti, of Lasselsville, Barbara and John Guyer Jr., of Mohawk, Carol Garlock and companion, Ed, of Vero Beach, Fla., and Crystal and Terry Hurteau of Mohawk; two sisters, Pearl Miller of Mohawk and Ruby Willoughby of Middleville; a sister-in-law, June Garlock of Middleville; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a special companion, Norma J. Heinig; a brother, John Garlock; and by a sister, Marion Huckabone.
  Visitation at the new Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., between Ilion and Frankfort (894-8000), will be on Thursday (today), July 17, 2008, from 7-9 p.m. Mr. Garlock's funeral will commence at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2008, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of the funeral home. She was born May 24, 1939, in Mohawk, NY, daughter of the late George Homer and Lottie (Levina) Garlock. Pearl worked as an inspector for MDS Computers in East Herkimer. Survivors include her daughters, Janet Miller, Sandra Fikes, and Georgia Willsey, all of Mohawk and Kathy Manno and her husband Dave, of Ilion; her sons Richard, of Mohawk, and Stanley and his wife, Jackie, of Burnt Hills, NY; her sister Ruby; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Ronald J Miller; a sister Marion; and two brothers, Bob and John. Burial will take place on May 7, 2013, at 10 am, at Mohawk Cemetery Annex, where she will be laid to rest alongside her son Ronald, and her brother, Bob.   WHEELER, Wis. — Leona E. Schuyler, age 87, passed away Friday, June 22, 2007, at Dunn County Health Center in Menomonie. She was born Nov. 5, 1919, in New Hampshire to Josiah and Anna (Simmons) Darrow. She married Earl Frank Schuyler Sr. in New York. She worked as a housekeeper for the area resorts and helped with seasonal harvesting. She was an animal lover and enjoyed knitting, reading, working crossword puzzles, reading poetry and spending time with her family.
  She is survived by one son, Earl (Terry) Schuyler, of Colfax; three daughters, Janice (John) Johnson of Ladysmith, Sharon (Frank) Bauer of Wheeler and Sally Ann Schuyler of Green Bay; 12 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl; one sister, Mary Drapper; and one grandson, Jeffery Turner.
  The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the NW Wisconsin Home Hospice and Dunn County Health Care Center for their loving care of Leona.
  Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2007, at United Methodist Church in Bloomer. Interment will be in the Otter Creek Cemetery, Dunn County.
