  Mrs. Nihla Mae Nellis, 76, of Fort Plain, died Monday, Nov. 28, at Little Falls Hospital.
  Mrs. Nellis was born Aug. 24, 1918, in St. Johnsville, the daughter of Clyde and Freida Moyer Fitzer. She attended St. Johnsville schools and had lived in that area most of her life.
  She was married to Daniel D. Nellis. He died in 1981.
  For many years, Nihla and her husband operated the Nellis Farm.
   Mrs. Nellis was a member of Grace Congregational United Church of Christ and its Womens Fellowship, St. Johnsville, the state and national Grange, Farm Bureau, Palatine Society, and St. Johnsville Senior Citizen Saints.
  Survivors include children Daniel D. Nellis Jr. of St. Johnsville, Richard P. Nellis of Fort Plain, Janet Sue Avery of Canajoharie, Larry R. Nellis of Fort Plain; a sister, Clara Reff of Cape Vincent; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews; a special friend, Janet Pollock. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Fitzer.
  Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 1, at Smith-woody & Enea Funeral Home, St. Johnsville, the Rev. Dennis Fonkert officiating. Burial will be in Fort Plain Cemetery.

  Daniel D. Nellis, 67, St. Johnsville RD 2, died early Sunday in Little Falls Hospital.
   Born in the Town of Palatine, Aug 1, 1913, the son of Raymond D. and Jessie C. Flander Neillis, he was educated in St. Johnsville and was a self employed dairy farmer,
   He was a member of Grace Congretational United Church of Christ of St Johmville, the Montgomery County Farm Bureau, the Stone Arabia, Pomona. State and National Granges and he was an acvtive member and officer of that orianitation until the St Johnsville Grange dissolved.
  Surviving are his widow, the former Nihla Fitzer, whom he married May 15, 1938 in Cooperstown; three sons, Daniel Nellis, Jr., St Johnsville RD, Richard Peter Neilis, at home and Larry Robert Nellis Fort Plain RD 2;. a daughter, Mrs. Francis (Janet) Avery, Canajoharie RD; six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
   Services were held Wednesday at the DeRubeis-Maginnis-Smith Funeral Homoe, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville with George Rockwell, pastor of Grace Church, officiating. A Mid-County Ambulance service was held Tuesday at the funeral home Burial was made in the family plot in Fort Plain Cemetery.

  Miss Betty Ann Moyer, 55 Spruce street, Schenectady, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George R. Moyer, RD4 Fort Plain, and Arthur R. Derderian, 1 Washington avenue, Schenectady, son of Mr. and Mrs. Toros DerDerian, Detroit, Michigan, were married on March 11, at the first Methodist church, Schenectady, by Dr. Leon M. Adkins.
  The bride was given in marriage by her father. Mrs. Warren Kollman, Albany, couysin of the bride, was matron of honor. John DerDerian, detroit, was the best man. Ushers were Robert Lathrop, Ellis Campbell, Richard Dysart, Schenectady. Mrs. J. S. Smith was the organist at the church ceremonies. The alter was decorated with candelabra and white gladoli.
  The bride was attired in a white satin gown with short train, braid
satin headpiece and French illusion fingertip veil. She carried a fleurette of white gladioli with a white orchid in center.
  Mrs. Kollman, the matron of honor, wore a green, silk, taffeta gown with square neckline and long sleeves. She wore a green, tafteta bonnet and carried a yellow fleurette of gladioli.
  Mrs. George Moyer, the bride's mother, wore a toast street-length dress with brown accessories. She carried pink roses.
  Mrs. DerDerian, the bridegroom's mother, had a navy, street length dress with navy accessories and she had yellow roses.
  Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church lounge for 150 guests. The buffet tables were decorated with pink and white carnations.
  The newlyweds left for a trip to Mt. Trcmbiant, Canada, and Detroit.
  For her going away gown, Mrs. DerDerian wore a navy and white checked suit with navy and white accessories.
  Mr. DerDerian is a graduate of Cass Technical High school, Detroit. He attended the University of Minnesota and received his degree from the University of Michigan.
  Mrs. DerDerian is a graduate of St. Johnsville High school and the Mildred Elley School, Albany. She is employed in the advertising and publicity department of General Electric Co., Schenectady.
  Mr. and Mrs. DerDerian are residing at 1 Washington avenue, Schenectady.

  Service for Leroy L. Willis of Meco, who died of burns and injuries received in an accident late Monday afternoon on Maple Avenue Extension in the Town of Johnstown, was held at 2 this afternoon at the Kennedy Funeral Home.
   Rev. Luther A. Patton, pastor of the Fremont Street Methodist
Church, officiated.
   Bearers were Louis Pecorino, Donald Baker, Robert Frederick, Kenneth Schrader, Donald Cruthers and Frank Kenney.

  A double wedding in which two popular young couples of Fulton County were the principals, took place in the parsonage, of the Reformed church Saturday afternoon at 5.
   In the first ceremony, Miss Doris Virginia Hinds, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Hinds of 177 North Arlington avenue, Gloversville, became the bride of William Schadow, son of Mrs. Josephine Nolan. 34 West Decker street.
  In the other, Miss Shirley Crurthers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cruthers of 19 Seventh avenue, Gloversville, was united in marriage to Roy Willis, grandson of Mrs Mae Bronk of Johnson.
   Each couple acted as attendants for the other.
   Both brides were attired in navy blue crepe, trimmed with white, and wore corsages of red roses and baby breath.
   Mrs. Hinds and Mrs. Willis attended Gloversville High school and the bridegrooms attended Johnstown High school.
   Following the double ceremony, the newlyweds left on a week-end wedding trip. They have taken up their residence in a cottage at Vandenburg's Point owned by Edward Nolan, uncle of Mr. Schadow.

   The bride wore a white chiffon Empire gown over taffeta trimmed with aqua at the collar and on the sleeves. She wore a shoulder-length veil and carried one pink rose, baby's bream and breath spray.
   Mrs. Charlene Tanner of Gloversville was matron of honor in an orchid long-sleeved gown trimmed with green velvet. She wore a shoulder-length veil and carried one yellow rose with baby's breath and breath spray.
   Calyton Tanner of Gloversville was best man.
   The mother of the bride wore an orchid dress and matching accessories. The mother of the bridegroom wore a pink dress and coat ensemble with silver accessories.
   After the ceremony a recpetion for 50 was held at the home of the bridegroom's parents. Out-of-town guests were from Northville and Sprakers.
  The bride was given a previous shower at the First United Methodist Church by her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Gugenberger,  Mrs. Irma Cruthers, Mrs. Sally  Malagisi, Mrs. Shirley Gugenberger, Mrs. Sharon Gugenberger, Mrs. Tanner, Mrs. Dawn Schrader, Mrs. Betty Kenny,  Mrs. Geraldine Willis and Mrs. Kathy Smith.
   The bride was graduated from Gloversville High School in 1970.
Shje is employed by the Grandoe Glove Corporation. The bridegroom attended the school, served four years with the Navy and is employed by General Electric Company, Schenectady. The couple is residing at 62 Third Street.

  GEORGE E. TIBBETTS, of HAZLET, died Saturday at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.
  He served 20 years in the Army before retiring as a major. He was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War. He later worked for 20 years as a machinist and draftsman with Dreyfus Company, Middlesex, before retiring. He was a member of St. John Methodist Church, Hazlet. He loved horses and enjoyed many days watching the trotters at Freehold Raceway Park. He was born in Howes Cave, N.Y.
  He was predeceased by his wife, Elinor Carhart Tibbetts; a daughter, Judy; and his parents, Harry and Ella May McKee Tibbetts.
  Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Susan of Hazlet and two granddaughters, Amy and Jill. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Bedle Funeral Home, 61 Broad St., Keyport. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Cedarwood Cemetery, Keyport.

  ELINOR L TIBBETTS, 80, of HAZLET, died Saturday at home. She was a homemaker and a member of the St John's United Methodist Church, Hazlet. Born in Hazlet, she lived there all of her life.
  A daughter, Judy Tibbetts, died in 1954. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, George E.; a son, Richard, Keyport; and two grandchildren, Amy and Jill Tibbetts.

Y., were married on Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock by the Rev. J. J. Messier, of Belford, a former pastor of St. John's Methodist Church. The bride wore a grey suit with navy blue accessories with a corsage of orchids. They were attended by Miss Bertha E. Methmer who wore a beige suit with moss green accessories with a corsage of yellow roses, and the bride's brother, Hudson D. Carhart, Jr. A reception was held at the Hazlet fire house following the wedding. , The fire house was decorated with a large white ball and streamers attached from the bell to each corner of the fire house. A supper was served at 7:15. Music for the evening was furnished by Tony Travino of Long Branch.
  The bride was the recipient of many beautiful and useful gifts.
  Mr. and Mrs. Tibbetts left on a wedding trip to Niagara Falls, N. Y., and upon their return will make their home at Aberdeen, Md., where the groom is stationed.
  Miss Carhart is a graduate of the Keyport High School and has been employed at the Armstrong Cork Co. in Keyport.

   David Kenneth Cox, 76, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011.
   MEMORIAL SERVICE: 3 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at St John’s Episcopal Church, 2401 College Ave., Fort Worth. Inturnment: St. John’s Garth. The family will receive friends at a reception in Mitchell Hall.

  David attended Carter-Riv- erside High School. Following high school, he attended Abilene Christian College, TCU and Tarrant County College.
  He loved God, proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard and cherished his family. David was a member in good standing of the Grand Lodge of Texas and the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry.
  Heartfelt thanks go to the staff of Klazuba Heart Center’s CVICU, Harris Hospital’s Pallia- tive Care, with very special thanks to Dr. Stephen Hudgens.

 Herbert "Bert" Alexander Dargie III
  Bert Dargie was born in Memphis on December 15, 1938 and died peacefully surrounded by his family on October 28, 2015.
  After graduating from Christian Brothers High School, he attended Memphis State University where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He graduated in 1962 with a degree in Psychology and Business.
  Dargie also served in the Army National Guard from 1956-1966 where he achieved the rank of First Lieutenant.
  Dargie is best known for his custom golf club manufacturing business, Bert Dargie Golf Company that was founded in 1908 by his immigrant grandfather. Raised with the Scottish work ethic that "people must make their own way in the world", Dargie worked alongside his father and grandfather beginning at a very early age. By the time he was 15, he was already considered a master craftsman. During his career, Dargie fashioned and repaired clubs for a number of PGA legends including: Arnold Palmer, Chi Chi Rodriguez, Fuzzy Zoeller, Lee Trevino, Tom Kite and many others. In 1991, Golf Digest listed Dargie Golf as one of three premier custom club makers in the United States and Dargie was initiated into the Professional Clubmakers' Society National Hall of Fame in Orlando, Florida. He also authored numerous articles in national golf publications, which included Golf for Women, Golf USA, Wall Street Journal and Golf World. Over the years, Dargie shared his expertise with the Memphis community by teaching golf to both amateurs and professionals. He also organized golf tournaments to benefit St. Jude, Boy Scouts of America, The Arthritis foundation, etc…
  Dargie was a true "man's man" with a colorful and gregarious personality. His hobbies included fishing, spending time with friends and family, telling stories, playing cards and hunting. He was a member of the Shelby Bass Club and served as President in 1988.
  Faith and family were priorities for Dargie, particularly during his later years.
  He leaves his beloved wife of 50 years, Marty Boales Dargie and their four children, Tripp Dargie (Holley), Tricee Fuson (Steve), Bert Dargie (DeLanie) and Bret Dargie (Jenna). He was so proud of his eleven grandchildren and loved being "Grumpies" to Hannah, Taylor, Lydia, Avery, Jackson, Garrett, Carson, Cameryn, Caroline, Sydney and Carter.
  He also leaves his stepfather Tom Miller; three siblings: Lynn Brackin, Laura Carmondy, and Steve Miller; his sister-in-law Glenna Flautt and a host of nieces and nephews.
  Dargie was a member of Independent Presbyterian Church.

  Barbara Jean Wright, 68, of Clear Lake Shores passed away Thursday. March 11, 1999, in Clear Lake Shores, Texas.
  Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Ralph E. Holland; son William K Holland; father; William F. Wright and her mother Gertrude Sweet.
  She is survived by her sons; Gary E. Holland of O'Fallen. Missouri; Bruce C. Holland of League City, Texas; Richard J. Holland and Mark A. Holland both of Clear Lake Shores, Texas; grandchildren; Matthew, Brenda, Barbara and Jaclyn Holland; nephew Bill Wright; niecs Debbie Metallo and Susie Vnek; great-nephews; Paul Metallo and gordon Vnek; an dgreat-niece Stephanie Vnek.
  A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 1999, at the Jack Rowe Cathedral Chapel.
