  Kilmer, Marc E, 90, retired salesman for International Harvester, died June 30, 2011. He was born January 1.1921. This proud man is resting after 90+ years of adventures, spectacular achievements and maintaining a rewarding family life. His wife Marguerette has been waiting his arrival since her death in 2004. His achievements as a sharp shooter are numerous and well known both in the military and civilian life. He stormed the beaches of Normandy as well as the beaches of Kansas as a soldier and as a skier. His politics were no secret to the many who knew him; family, friends and especially Democrats, a proud Republican was he! He leaves behind to celebrate his life a daughter, Shirley Vandeventa. three grandchildren, Vicki McCune, husband, Mike; Tami Fulton, husband Rusty and Martin Nielsen; eight great grandkids, Miles McCune, Holly Pollara, Anna Boik, Abbey McCune, Mark Nielsen, Matt Nielsen, Emma Des Marteau and Elana Fulton; and four great-great-grandkids, Georgia McCune, Miles McCune Jr Lilly Nielsen and Beau McCune.   Jack L. Swenson, 89, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2010. He was born July 10, 1921 in Republic County, KS to Ross G. and Mabel Swenson.
  Jack was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran serving during WWII.
  On July 6, 1946 he married Emadale Lockwood. She preceded him in death on September 27, 1999. He married Joyce Segelquist on September 9, 2000.
  He is survived by his wife, Joyce Swenson; his daughters, Linda (Larry) Hunter of Lecompton and Barbara (Woody) Weidner of Topeka; a brother, Swede Swenson of Topeka; his step-children, Ellen Mushock, Susan Segelquist, Mark Segelquist; two grandsons, Lenn Hunter of Kansas City and Joshua Logan of Peoria, AZ; three step-grandchildren and four great step-grandchildren.
  He was preceded in death by his wife, Emadale, a grandson, Lonnie Hunter and a brother Victor Swenson.
  Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 14 at Grace United Methodist Church. Family inurnment will take place at a later date at Belleville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August13 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace UMC Men's Group or Shriners Childrens Travel Fund.

  Emadale Swenson
  Emadale Swenson, 85, Topeka, formerly of Manhattan, died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999, at a Topeka health-care center following a lengthy illness.
  Mrs. Swenson worked as a clerk for the Peoples National Bank in Belleville and later for the Peoples national bank in Topeka. She also had worked as a clerk in Riley County Probate Court for many years before retiring in 1981.
  She was born Jan. 16, 1914, at Munden, the daughter of Bert Lockwood and Mabel Hiatt Lockwood. She grew up in Munden and Belleville, where she attended local schools. She graduated from Belleville High School. She had lived in Topeka since 1989.
  Mrs. Swenson was a member of the Westside Christian Church, Topeka. She also had been a member of the First Christian Church, LaSeratoma Club, and the ABWA, all of Manhattan.
  She married Jack L. Swenson on July 6, 1946, at Marysville. He survives of the home.
  Survivors also include two daughters, Linda Hunter, Lecompton, and Barbara Logan, Topeka; and three grandsons.
  Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home, Manhattan. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Belleview City cemetery, Belleview.
  The family suggests memorial contributions to the Topeka Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, left in care of the funeral home.

  Mr. and Mrs. Bert Lockwood announce the marriage of their daughter, Emadale, to Jack L. Swenson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross G. Swenson of Belleville. The wedding took place at 4 o'clock Saturday, afternoon, July 6, at the home of' Mr. and Mrs. Glen Lockwood in Morysville, in the presence of the immediate families. The Rev. John Newton, pastor of the Christian church, read the marriage service. Don Lockwood nephew of the bride, played the nuptial music and the accompaniment for his mother who sang "I Love You Truly." The liride was lovely in an aqua street-length dress with corsage of pink rosebuds. Her only jewels were a strand of pearls, a gift of the bridegroom. Mrs. Glen Lockwood, as matron of honor, wore a dress of dusty pink crepe with a corsage of pink gladioli. Mr. Lockwood, brother of the bride, attended the bridegroom as best man. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Lockwood wore a dress of Alice blue summer crepe with a corsage of pink gladioli, Mrs. Swenson, mother of the bridegroom, wore black sheer crepe with a corsage of peach-colored gladioli. Mrs. Swenson is a graduate of Belleville high school, and has been employed the past three years as bookeeper at the Peoples National bank. Mr, Swenson. also a graduate of Belleville high school, entered military service in October, 1942, and served two years in the European Theater of Operations in the Air Corps. Since receiving his discharge he has been employed as substitute carrier at the Belleville post office. The couple will be at home at 230-1 M street.

  Victor Eugene Swenson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross G. Swenson was born November 17, 1922 in Belleville and died May 26, 1970 at Cedar Falls, Iowa of an apparent heart attack.
  Having returned home from the golf cours because of illness, he was taken to the Sartori Hospital where he died shortly after 6:30 p.m.
  He was married to Jean Nelson in Lake City, Minn., June 18, 1946. Two son were born of this union.
  He was a graduate of Belleville high school and of the University of Illinois. He had been an engineer for John Deere Tractor Works, Waterloo, Iowa since 1951.
  He was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church, , Martin Lodge A. F. and A. M., Royal Arch Masons, Baldwin Commandery No. 11, Royal and Select Masters of Iowa, ElKahir Shrine, Waterloo Technal Society of Automotive Engineers.
  Survivors are his wife; two sons, Craig Eugene and Mark James of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ross G. Swenson of Belleville; two brothers, Jack of Manhattan, R.G. of Topeka.
  Masonic services were held Thursday, May 28, 7:30 p.m. at the Nelson-Richardson Funeral Home, Memorial services were held at St. Paul Evangical Lutheran church Friday, May 29, 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ralph Anderson officiating. burial was in Greenwood cemetery, Cedar Falls, Iowa.

  Jean H. Swenson, 89, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, July 20, 2014, at Manor Care Health Services in Waterloo.
  She was born May 16, 1925 in Hyde Park Twsp, Minnesota, daughter of George and Edith Roberson Nelson. She married Victor E. Swenson on June 18, 1946 in Lake City, Minnesota. He died May 26, 1970.
  She graduated from Plainview High School and attended Winona State for one year. She sold jewelry supplies for Lorraine Griffith and was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls.
  Survived by two sons, Craig Swenson of Denver, IA, and Mark (Jan) Swenson of Waterloo; three grandchildren: James Swenson, Wendy (Tony) Everts, and Kara Swenson; six great grandchildren: Tyler Lange, Nikolas, Liliana and Abigail Everts, Malea and Isaac Swenson; and a sister, Lois Gellasch of Grand Rapids, MI.
  Preceded in death by two brothers, John Nelson and Fred "Fritz" Nelson; two sisters, Georgia Southwick and May Nelson.
  Services 10:00 a.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Service with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

  Miss Jean Nelson of Chicago, daughter of. Mr. and Mrs. George A. Nelson of Millville, Minn., and Victor Swenson, also of Chicago, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Swenson of Belleville, exchanged marriage vows Wednesday morning, June 10, at St. Mark's Episcopal church at Lake City, Minn. The Rev. G. B. Gilliort performed the double-ring ceremony, assisted by the Rev. Herman Knol, also of Lake City. Two members of the church choir sang "Oh Promise Me", and "I Love You Truly." The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore white net over satin, with a fitted bodice, long sleeves, and round neckline. Her finger tip length veil of net fell from a crown of seed pearls. She carried a bridal bouquet of pink roses. Miss Georgia Nelson of Chicago. the bride's sister, was maid of honor and wore blue net over satin, made with a fitted bodice, round neckline and a shoulder cape. She wore a yellow hat of grosgrain ribbon. Miss Marge Bates of Chicago, the bridesmaid, wore a yellow net over satin made similar to that worn by the maid of honor. She woie a blue hat made of grosgrain ribbon. Each wore gold crosses set with diamonds, gifts of the bride. They carried snapdragons and carnations. Jack Swenson of Belleville was best man for his brother, and Douglas O'Hara, Zumbro Flalls, Minn., cousin of the bride, was the bridegroom's attendant. They received gold tie clasps, gifts of the bridegroom. Lewis O'Hara and David Rolierson of Zumbro Falls, Minn., were ushers. The bride's mother wore white frosted sheer with white accessories and the bridegroom's mother wore black ciepe trimmed in rose, with black accessories. They had corsages of red roses. The dinner at 1 o'clock was at the home of the bride's parents for 35 guests. The bride's table was decorated with garden flowers and a four-tier wedding cake. The couple will make their home at 4108 North Kenmore avenue, Chicago, Ill. Guests at the wedding from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Swenson and son, Jack, of Belleville; Mrs. George New of LaCrosse, Wis.; Misses Doris Coar and Marge Bates of Chicago; Mrs. Jess Robcrson and two daughters of St. Paul, Minn.

  Born Dec. 9, 1911 in Albion, NY to the late Ora and Lela Lee. She was a graduate of Medina High School and she was a 1932 graduate of Cornell University. She is a retired school teacher from Bergen High School in Bergen, NY.  
   She is survived by her husband, Fred A. Bennett, 1 daughter, Barbara Dunkelberg of W. Lafayette, Indiana, 1 son, Larry (Margaret) Bennett of Fairbanks, Alaska. 4 grandsons, 1 sister, Betty Lee of Rochester, NY, several nieces and nephews.

  A pretty wedding took place on Saturday, Aug. 17, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ora Lee, when their daughter, Dorothy, and Fred A. Bennett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bennett Sr., of Mayfield. were married by Rev. G. Kugene Durham of Cornell University.
  Preceding the ceremony Miss Edna Stocking, a friend of the bride, rendered several musical selections, among them "Ah Sweet Mystery of Life'' and "I Love You Truly." The bride, who entered on the arm of her father, was attired in her mother's wedding gown of ivory satin, with a tulle veil, and carried a shower bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley.
  Miss Helen Krebs of Medina, a high school and college classmate of the bride, acted a maid of honor and wore yellow mousseleine-de sole, with a bouquet of talisman roses. The bridegroom wns attended by his high school and college classmate, Mr. Allen F. Brown, also of Mayfield.
  Following the ceremony, a buffet luncheon was served to thirty guests. After a trip through New England, Mr. and Mrs. Bennett will reside in Berlin, N. Y., where Mr. Bennett la a member of the high school faculty
  The bride is a graduate of the Medina High School and attended Cornell University. For the past three years she has been teaching in Bergen High School. The bridegroom was graduated from Gloversville High School and Cornell University, and is a member of Kappa Phi Kappa and Phi Delta Kappa.

  Miss Bennett is a 1960 graduate of Ithaca High School and a 1964 graduate of the University of Michigan. She is assistant in research at the Institute of Social Research in Ann Arbor and is enrolled in graduate studies at the university.
  Mr. Dunkelberg is a 1964 graduate of the University of Michigan and is a candidate for a PhD. in Economics there.

  Marie E. Jones, 84, of Norwich, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 8, 2001 at the Gilmour Health Care Facility in Norwich.
  Born in Mayfield, NY on June 20, 1917, she was the daughter of Fred Bennett and Eva (Walker) Bennett. She graduated from Gloversville High School in 1934, and received her BS degree from Cornell University in 1939. Following college she married Alden M. Jones, who survives. She will be remembered as a housewife, mother and “professional volunteer”.
  While living in Raleigh, Marie was active with the AARP, chairing several committees. She was a member of the Golden Years Association and was 55+ Club Secretary. With her husband, Alden, she was a contributor to the North Carolina Symphony Orchestra, and was a member of the Cornell Club of Raleigh. She was active in the Benson Memorial United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and the Adult Fellowship.
  On August 10, 1940 she married Alden Jones in Mayfield, NY. She is survived also by a son, Barton E. Jones of Camillus; a son-in-law, David Funk of Norwich; and four grandchildren, Bonnie Peck of Gloversville, Daniel Funk of Norwich, Jennifer Ryan of Oxford and Nathan Funk of Norwich. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren; a nephew, F. Lawrence Bennett of Fairbanks, AL; and a niece, Barbara Bennett of West Lafayette, IN. Marie was predeceased by a daughter, Carolyn Funk, and a brother, Frederick Bennett.
  A memorial service for Marie will be held August 19 at 2 p.m. at the Broad Street United Methodist Church, Norwich, NY. Burial will be in Stafford Rural Cemetery in Stafford, NY.
  Contributions in memory of Mrs. Jones may be made to the Gilmour Health Care Facility Resident/Staff Fund, 88 Calvary Drive, Norwich, NY 13815.

  NORWICH NY Alden Malvern Jones 94 passed away peacefully on Monday May 17 2010 at his home.
  Born November 17, 1915 in Batavia, NY, Alden was the son of Malvern S. and Edith A. (Call) Jones. He moved to Royal Oak, Michigan in 1918, and attended school there. In 1931 the family returned to New York and resided with Mrs Jones' parents on a farm in Stafford. He graduated from Batavia High School in 1933 where he participated in such extra-curricular activities as male octet band and the senior play. He attended Cornell University graduating in 1937 with his bachelor's degree and earned his master's degree in 1939. He was a member of Alpha Zeta Fraternity.
  After working with the Tennessee Valley Authority in Norris, TN, for five years as a Junior Aquatic Biologist Alden returned to New York in 1943 and was employed by General Electric in Schenectady, Syracuse and Utica. Upon retirement in 1980 Alden moved to Raleigh, NC, where he joined the local chapter of the AARP, serving three terms and chapter president. He served four years as a North Carolina Assistant State Director of AARP and was also active in a local senior citizens club. He moved to Norwich NY in 1996 where he resided until his death.
  While employed by the TVA, Alden was author or co-author of several technical papers in the field of fisheries and was a member the American Fisheries Society. While employed by GE, he was author of several papers in the field of continuing engineering education and several papers within General Electric on procedures. As a life-long member of the Methodist Church, Alden had been active in the affairs of each congregation to which he belonged and for several years served as District Lay Leader in the Syracuse district. Most recently he was a member of the Broad Street United Methodist Church in Norwich. Alden was a life member of the American Society for Engineering Education and served one year as chairman of the St Lawrence Section. He was a member of the American Society of Training Directors and other similar organizations. Since 1982, Alden has been an active member of Lions Clubs International and twice was club president. In 1940 Alden married Marie E Bennett who predeceased him. He was also predeceased by his daughter Carolyn Funk and his son Barton Jones.
  Alden is survived by his grandchildren and their spouses Bonnie (Funk) and Dayne Peck of Gloversville, NY, Daniel and Jennifer Funk of Norwich, Jennifer (Funk) and Adam Ryan of Oxford, NY and Nathan and Jennifer Funk of Norwich as well as eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Eileen Lye of Raleigh, NC, a niece and three nephews.
  Memorial services for Alden will be held at a later date Burial will take place in Stafford Rural Cemetery Stafford, NY. Contributions in memory of Alden may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Broad Street United Methodist Church. The arrangements are under the direction of the Wilson Funeral Home in Norwich.

  Maurice T. Fero, 73, of Central Bridge, father of a Johnstown woman, died at 4 Sunday afternoon at Schoharie Community Hospital after a brief illness.
   Born Dec. 4, 1901 in Charleston, he was the son of John B. and Elizabeth McDuffee Fero. He was a 1920 graduate of Cobleskill Agricultural and Technical College. Mr. Fero worked as a dairy farmer until his retirement in 1966.
   He was a past master and charter member of the Schoharie Valley Grange, a member of the Schoharie Valley Masonic Temple, and a member of the Sloansville-Esperance United Methodist Church. Mr. Fero was a former member of the Schoharie Central School Board.
   Survivors include his wife, Verna LaRowe Fero; a son, John H. Fero of Sloansviller a daughter, Mrs. John R. Rossman of Johnstown; a sister, Mrs. Earl Baxter of Avon Park, Fla.; five grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

  GLOVERSVILLE — Funeral services for Richard LaRowe, 53, of 60 Montgomery street, who died suddenly Thursday, will be held at 2, p.m. tomorrow at the Hollenbeck funeral home.
   REV. KURT KLINGBEIL of the First Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Prospect Hill cemetery, Northville.
   Mr. LaRowe was found dead beside his auto on Steele avenue extension where he had stopped his car. Dr. Robert S. Kunkel, a Fulton county coroner, yesterday afternoon attributed the death to
natural causes.
   A native of Broadalbin. he had been a Gloversville resident most of his life and was employed by the Iva knitting mill. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, its choir and chorus and taught in its Sunday school.
   Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Carolyn LaRowe, two daughters, Mrs. David Fndeley of Washington, and Mrs. Douglas Coon of Gloversville, his mother, Mrs. Sadie LaRowe of Gloversville, two sisters. Mrs. Maurice Sero of Esperance, and Mrs. William Tyler of Gloversville, a brother, Donald LaRowe of Gloversville, one granddaughter, nieces and nephews.

   Dr. Robert S. Kunkel, a Fulton County coroner, issued a verdict of death due to natural causes. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
  Bearers were Elmer Longhenry, Horace Hallemnbeck, Edward Perone Sr., Edward Perrone Jr., William Happenworth, and Albert Clark.
  Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Northville.

  Miss Carolyn M. Edwards, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Edwards of 36 James street, became the bride, of Richard K. LaRowe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry C. La Rowe of 28 Steele avenue, at a ceremony held in the Emmanuel Baptist church at 3 P. M. yesterday.
   The ceremony was performed before an altar of hydrangeas and ferns by the Rev. Will D. McCurdy of the First Baptist church. As the guests were seated by the ushers, Theodore Clark, of Scotia and Maurice Fero of Esperance, a concert was played by Fred Bennett, pianist, of Mayfield and Martin Toney, violinist of Scotia.
   As the bridal party entered the church, Lohengrins wedding march  was played, the ushers came first, followed by the maid of honor and bridesmaids, ring bearer and flower girl, then the bride on the arm of her father. At the altar they were Joined by the bridegroom and his best man, W. Gardiner - Edwards, brother of the bride.
   The bride was charmingly gowned in white satin and veil of tulle and carried bride's roses. The maid of honor was Miss Gertrude Van Avery of Amsterdam, a cousin of the bride. She wore pink lace and carried sweet peas. The bridesmaids were Misses JufiaToney, and Doris LaRowe who were gowned in yellow and blue organdie and carried sweet peas. The flower girl was Peggy Lee Clark, of Scotia, who wore yellow organdie, while the ring bearer was Eleanor La Rowe who wore blue organdie.
   The bride received a necklace from her husband and she presented him with a belt. She gave her maid of honor a bracelet and her bridesmaids lace mitts. The bridegroom gave his best man a belt, the ushers billfolds and the musicians neckties.
   Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church parlors
which was attended by about 175 guests. In the early evening the young couple will leave by auto for a wedding trip and upon their return will reside at 9 Union street.
   The bride is a graduate of the Gloversville High School, class of 1929. She has been honored with many pre-nuptial affairs. The bridegroom is a leather worker connected with the Levor factory.

  Donald C. La Rowe, 57, of 28 Steele Avenue, died at 11:45 last night at his home after an illness of six years.
   He was born Feb. 26, 1919, in Gloversville, the son of Harry and Sadie Kimball La Rowe. He was a lifelong resident of Gloversville.
   Mr. La Rowe was an Army veteran of World War II and had been employed as a machinist by General Electric Company, Schenectady, before his illness. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
   He is survived by his wife, the former Ella Bucci; one son, Harry La Rowe; two daughters, Mrs. Joan Oliver of Schenectady and Miss Nikki La Rowe, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Verna Ferrow of Esperance and Mrs. Doris Tyler of Herkimer; four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

  In a ceremony performed at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Paulus Catholic church, Weinheim, Germany, Miss Wasylyna (Victoria) Lukienczuk, became the bride of T/Sgt. Richard LaRowe, stationed with the United States army in Germany, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Leland LaRowe of Gloversville.
   The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wasyl Lukienczuk, originally from the Polish-Ukranian territory, but whose whereabouts are unknown.
  The ceremony was performed by Lt. Col. Charles P. Malumphy, constabulary chaplain. White lilacs and fern were used in church decoration. Traditional wedding music was given by the organist of the church.
   The bride wore a gown of heavy satin made with a sweetheart neckline embroidered with a floral motif of seed pearls. The gown was styled with fitted bodice, long pointed sleeves and a long train. She wore a double finger tip veil arranged from a seed peart tiara which matched the trimming on her gown. She carried a boquet of white lilacs. The wedding ensemble was sent to the bride from this country.
  Her only attendant, Miss Podoluk Wladyslawa, as maid of honor, wore a pale pink satin gown with V-neckllne, long pointed sleeves and a fitted bodice. She carried pink and blue lupines and fern.  
   Pfc. Frank C. Coley, USA, was best man.
   A reception for over 70 guests followed the ceremony. Music was provided by a string trio.
   The couple are now residing in Manheim, Germany, where Sergeant, LaRowa has been assigned. They expect to arrive in the United States in September.
   Sergeant LaRowe, a motor machinist, was born in Schenectady and attended schools here and in Gloversville, Before entering the service, he had resided with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Ray C. Livingston, Oakdale avenue.

  Miss Irene Willard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Willard of 30 Highland Terrace and Clarence H. LaRowe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde LaRowe of this city, were united in marriage last night at 8 at the First Baptist church in Northville. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Alfred A. Dence, cousin of the bridegroom.
   In spite of the attempts of the young couple to slip quietly away and be married, many of their young friends from Gloversville and Johnstown gathered at the church as a surprise to witness the ceremony.
   The attendants were Miss Lillian Phelps, of Gloversville, sorority sister of the bride and Delos Walrath of Johnstown. The bride was becomingly attired in brown velvet with matching shoes and hat and wore a corsage of Coolidge roses. Her attendant wore velvet with shoes and hat to match and a corsage of Ophelia roses.
   The bride's gift to the bridesmaid was crystal beads while the bridegroom presented his best man with a fountain pen and pencil set.
   Immediately after the ceremony, the bridal party enjoyed dinner at
The Asia in Schenectady. The newlyweds are spending some time at their camp at Northville and upon their return will reside at 30 Highland Terace.  
   Both the bride and bridegroom are well known and popular among the younger set. The bride is a graduate of the Gloversville High school, class of  '29 and a member of the Iota Chapter, Delta Gamma Delta of this city. She has been the guest of honor at several prenuptial affairs.
   The bridegroom is employed at Borman's Sheep Lined Coat Co., Inc., in Johnstown and is a well known professional boxer.
   Those present at the wedding ceremony were Misses Doris Wemple, Tillie Simon, Catherine Sherman, Marion Brookins, Margaret Getman, Helen Buehler, Dorothy Houserman and Katherine Longfritz.

  Norma C. LaRowe, age 94, of Johnstown, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home, Gloversville surrounded by her loving family.
  She was born on May 6, 1919 in the town of Northampton, the daughter of the late Clarence Leslie Collins, Sr. and Carolyn Roosevelt Collins.
  Mrs. LaRowe was a high school graduate and attended Lane College in Chicago receiving her L.P.N. degree.
  Norma was a member of the former New Covenant Presbyterian Church and was recently a member of the Johnstown Reformed Church.
  She was also a member of the Friendship Club.
  Survivors include two sons Larry D. LaRowe and his companion Helen Henry of Gloversville and Raymond Rizzo of Colorado Springs, Colorado, one daughter Carol Rizzo Mason of Mayfield, one brother Theodore John Collins of Colorado Springs, Colorado; five grandchildren Susan Tyler, Sherri Foskey, Starr Burton Sarra, Cristi Wendell, Elizabeth Reigles and Ryan Mason; two great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins also several great nieces and nephews.
  She was predeceased by her husbands Clarence "Babe" LaRowe and Salvatore Rizzo and one daughter Sharon LaRowe Burton.
  Interment will be in Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown.
