Scarlett Ann Walo

 - Obituary (Find A Grave)
Little Falls, N.Y. — Scarlett A. Woolver, 64, formerly of DiseRoad and Church Street, Little Falls, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, with her loving family at her side, at the Heritage Healthcare Center, Utica.
She was born Scarlett Ann Walo on Jan. 11,1947, in Little Falls, the daughter of the late Michael and Lucille (Carey) Walo. Scarlett attended local schools and after graduation from Little Falls High School, she completed a course of study at Mohawk Hairstyling School of Utica and was awarded her license to practice hairdressing and cosmetology by the State of
New York. Scarlett's true calling however was in the field of management and supervision, and that is where she showed her greatest competency and displayed the traits that would define her career. She loved to organize and loved to work with people.
In the early 1970s, Scarlett started working for the newly formed Mntronics Corporation (later to become Lccson) in Little Falls. She managed the production operations group and was frequently recognized for outstanding performance. When Lccson left the area in the early 1990s, ScaTlctt took her skills to the Herkimer Area Resource Center and worked there until her retirement in 2006. As "house manager," Scarlett's responsibilities involved overseeing the daily care and medical treatment of numerous patients in the facility. She and her husband, Carl, also took a long-term personal interest in one of the patients by inviting him to accompany them on numerous family outings and birthday celebrations. This commitment and dedication resulted in an HARC Person-lo-Person Award.
Scarlell continued her education with technical business courses and leadership training programs. She was also an honor student achieving the president's list at Mohawk Valley Community College.
Scarlett and Carl Woolver were married on May 31,1986, at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Falls, with the Rev. John L. Gallagher officiating. The couple shared a union of 21 years before Mr. Woolver's passing on Oct. 20, 2007.
Scarlett loved to travel with her husband, Carl, and follow her favorite drivers on the NASCAR circuit. Some of her heroes over the years included Richard Petty, Harry Gant and Tony Stewart. Because of heT outgoing nature and presence, Scarlett was a familiar figure to these drivers as she walked through the pits at NASCAR tracks across the East coast. They often called her by name and spent time chatting with her. She was very proud of the photos she had taken with these driving stars during race weeks and always had them prominently on display. Each year without fail, Scarlett, along with Carl and the kids, would also make the trip to Myrtle Beach, SC, to spend at least two weeks in the sun and the sand. These times she spent with Carl and the kids were when she was the happiest... every single day!! Scarlett took after her Dad with her baseball ---'yaltics. She faithfully followed the New York Yankees and during the season would always travel to Yankee Stadium with ---.rl to cheer for Derek Jeter and the Yanks. Scarlett also took after her Mom with another gift, her "green thumb," and it was always evident in the summer months. Her yard, trees, and bushes were always immaculately manicured and her backyard garden was always brimming with the
freshest and ripest tomatoes, beans and corn.
Scarlett was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Falls.
