  Marion W. Marino , 88, of Fulton died Jan 24, 2005, at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital, Fulton. A native of Pennellville, Mrs. Marino had resided most of her life in Fulton . She was a communicant of the Church of the Immaculate Conception. She worked many years at Rainbow Shores Campground and Lock III Restaurant. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony J. Marino Sr., who died in 1968 and by a sister, Lucille Pernice. Surviving are four daughters, Betty (George) Chawgo and Linda (Carmen) Vescio, both of Fulton , Sandra (Rusty) Vincent of Syracuse, and Debra (Dennis) Brant of Ontario, Canada; two sons, Anthony (Donna) Marino Jr. of Florida and John (Connie) Marino of Fulton ; one sister, Bernice Spriggs of Rochester; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

  Anthony Marino Dies; Well Known Barber Anthony J. Marino, 54, widely-known Fulton barber, was pronounced dead on arrival Tuesday morning at Lee Memorial Hospital after having been stricken unexpectedly at his home. A resident of 313 Erie St Mr. Marino had operated a barber shop on Oneida Street for many years. He was a life resident of Fulton. He was a communicant of the Church of the Immaculate Conception and was active in local bowling circles. Surviving are his wife, Mrs Marion Marino; four daughters Mrs. Richard Eckard of Fulton Mrs. Carl Stewart of Syracuse and the Misses Linda and Debra Marino, at home; two sons, Anthony Jr. and John Marino, at home; nine grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Anthony Cocopoti of Mexico; an aunt, Mrs. Theodore Farfaglia. Services will be at 8:15 a.m Friday at Young & Sons Funeral Home, 322 Oneida St., and at 9 am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Thursday.

Bernard Arthur Pernice

  Bernard A. Pernice 51, salesman for Klein's Motors,Inc., was pronounced dead Wednesday at the House of the Good Samaritan, where he was taken after being stricken while at work at Klein's salesrooms. He had been under a doctor's care for a heart condition. The funeral will be Saturday at Northam and Fox funeral home with Rev. John B. Smiley, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial will be in North Watertown cemetery.
  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lucille W. Severance Pernice; two sons, Richard D. and Michael B., at home; a daughter, Miss Bonnie Pernice, his mother, Mrs. Hazel Tompkins; two brothers, James K., Syracuse, Gerald, Evans Mills, and a sister, Mrs. Edna Rush, Syracuse.
  Born in Watertown, Feb. 2, 1917, a son of Mrs. Hazel Rocker Pernice Tompkins and the late George B. Pernice, he was graduated from Watertown High school. A veteran of WW II he entered the army Apr 22,1941, and left the US in Aug 1942, for Europe. He took part in the invasions of Sicily and Salerno with a medical unit of an infantry division. He served in Normandy, northern France and the Rhineland and was wounded in action. Achieving the rank of corporal. Mr. Pernice was discharged Oct. 7, 1945, after returning to the states Oct. 2, 1945, on Apr 5, 1942, Mr. Pernice married Miss Lucille W Severance at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Karl W. Severance, Watertown. Rev. Robert W. Youngs, then pastor of First Presbyterian church, officiated. Mr. Pernice was then, stationed at Fort Devens, Mass. Since his military service, Mr. Pernice has been employed as a salesman for local auto sales firms. He was at Plumpton Chevrolet before transferring to Klein's. Mr. Pernice was a member of Army and Navy Post 61, American Legion, and the North Side Improvement League.

  Banner Martin Stephenson
  Banner Martin Stephenson, 93, of Lakeview Village, Lenexa, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002. He was born in Wichita, KS, but spent his formative years in Lenexa. During World War II, he served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, and upon his return to Kansas he resumed his business career with National Cash Register Co. He took an early retirement in 1962 to raise cattle and improve the Johnson County farmland he so dearly loved. He was instrumental in forming the Johnson County Rural Fire District No. 2, serving on the board for many years as chairman. He worked with the Johnson County Extension Service and was an active Rotarian for as long as his health permitted. He was a member of the College Church of the Nazarene in Olathe.
   Mr. Stephenson was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Eileen Fisher Stephenson, and his son, Donald Leonard Stephenson. Survivors include his wife, Jeanne Taylor Stephenson; daughters, Lou Ann Maher and husband Jack Maher of Trophy Club, TX, and Nancy Stephenson and husband Donald E. Stephenson of San Diego, CA; eight grandchildren, John M. and (Kathy) Stephenson of Leawood, KS, Susan and (Doug) Rose of Paradise Valley, AZ, Sara and (Greg) Barnes of Prairie Village, KS, Sheryl and (Gale) White of Fort Worth, TX, Jeff and (Linda) Maher of Overland Park, KS, Jill and (Bob) Harp of San Diego, CA, Jennifer and (Jeff) Jordan of Carlsbad, CA, and Doug and (Alyson) Stephenson of Bainbridge Island, WA; and 20 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express their appreciation for the loving care provided by the staff at Lakeview Village Health Care Center. Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at College Church of the Nazarene, 2020 E. Sheridan, Olathe, KS 66062. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at Newcomer's Johnson County Chapel.
