Clark F. Mosher Member of Masonic Lodge, American Legion ILION-HERKIMER - Clark F. Mosher, 78, of 203 East German St., Herkimer, formerly of Ilion, died at 11:53 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, Ilion.
He was born Jan. 4, 1926, in Salisbury, N.Y., the son of Clark W. and Florence (Phelps) Mosher and attended Dolgeville schools. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. On Oct. 24, 1964, he was married to Doreen Durfey in Winsted, Conn. Clark was employed as a lieutenant in the training division for the New York State Department of Correctional Services for 22 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was a counselor in its Herkimer Branch Presidency and also served on the activities committee. He also was a member of the Ilion Masonic Lodge and the Mohawk American Legion. Clark did volunteer work for Catholic Charities in the RSVP program and was a teacher of the 55 Alive program. He was also a volunteer at the Mohawk Valley General Hospital snack bar and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society.
Clark loved his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and liked helping people. He also enjoyed writing poems and was interested in local history.
Survivors include his wife, Doreen; four daughters and one son-in-law, Kelly Mosher and Karen Bowman, both of Ilion, Kathy Smith and Carol and Ray Moreno, all of Denver, Colo.; his son, Gary Lince of Utica; his sister, Laura Claus of Little Falls; his brother Arthur Mosher of Dolgeville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his son, Michael in 1986 and his brother, Leslie Mosher.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Gros Boulevard, East Herkimer, with Branch President Hollis Bunker Sr. officiating. Interment will be in Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion.
Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Applegate & Day Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion, and Thursday from 1-2 p.m. at the church prior to the service.

Mr. and Mrs. Loren L. Brown, St. Johnsville RD 1, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Carolyn Ann Brown, to Frederick Harold Miles, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Miles, St. Johnsville RD 1.
Miss Brown is a 1965 graduate of Oppenheim - Ephratah Central School and is employed by the Palatine Dyeing Co. in St. Johnsville.
Mr. Miles also is a graduate of Oppenheim-Ephratah Central School and is employed by Helmont Mills, St. Johnsville.

The marriage of Miss Carolyn A. Brown and Airman Second Class Frederick H. Miles, both of RD, St. Johnsville, took place last Saturday, September 30 at 2 p.m. in St. Johnsville Methodist Church. The Rev. Charles Montgomery, former pastor of Methodist Church, performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Loren Brown, RD 1 St, Johnsville. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Miles, RD 1, St. Johnsville.
Gladiolas decorated the interior of the church. Mrs. Janet Shuster, organist of the church, rendered traditional wedding music.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a full-length gown of white French imported chantilly lace and silk bombazine over taffeta. The all-lace bodice with a scalloped neckline, fitted lines and long sleeves was adorned with pearls and sequins. The full bombazine skirt with ruffles upon ruffles of scalloped lace was designed with detachable, full shoulder train, chapel length. The train was completely adorned with lace. Her bridal bouquet consisted of roses with an orchid center and stephanotis and ivy.
Miss Joyce Cool, RD, St. Johnsville served her sister as matron of honor. She wore a full length gown in patriot and nile green velvet and crepe over taffeta. The all-velvet bodice was designed with a circle neckline, fitted lines and short sleeves. The semi-empire waist was accented with a matching satin band. The skirt featured soft fluid lines. She wore a headpiec« and bouffant veil to match and carried a bouquet of mums to match the gown.
Misses Joan Brundage, Kathy Bell, friends of the bride and Linda Miles, sister of the groom were brides maids. Their gowns were identical to that of the matron of honor's in rouse and flamingo; honor gold and custard and azalea and Persian rose. They also carried mums to match their gowns.
Ronald Miles of Hopewell Junction, brother of the groom was best man. Richard Brundage, Charles Wagar, friends of the groom, and Loren R. Brown, brother of the bride, were ushers.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at the Community Hall in Lassellsville with approximately 200 persons in attendance.
Airman Second Class and Mrs. Miles are both graduates of Oppenheim - Ephratah Central
School, Class of 1965. The bride is also a graduate of Utica School of Beauty Culture and has been employed by Charmette Beauty Salon.
Following a wedding trip to Washington D.C, the couple will reside in Athens, Greece where Airman Miles will be stationed for the next two years.
Pre-nuptial events included a shower given by Mrs Emerson Miles and Mrs. Loren Brown and a shower given by the bride's attendants. A rehearsal party was given by the groom's parents when the couple presented personal gifts to their attendants.

Native of Ilion, Charles f. Zoller, 35, 63 Fourth Ave., died Sunday, January 30, 1944, in St. Luke's hospital, after an illness of six months.
Mr: Zoller was born in Ilion, son of George A., and the late Bessie Riley Zoller. He had lived in Ilion all of his life, attended Ilion schools, and was employed as an inspector in the Remington Arms Co., until his illness. Mr. Zoller was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and the Methodist church.
Surviving; are his wife, the former Irene Ashley; a son Charles, a daughter Donna Rae; his father, five sisters. Mary Zoller, Ilion; Mrs. Walter Ames, Mohawk; Mrs. George Green, Ilion; Mrs. Vito DeLessandro, Schenectady; and Mrs. Anthony Seaparo, Ilion; and a brother George, Ilion.

Clifton E. Charlebois
Clifton E. Charlebois, 87, formerly of 1049 Huntington St., died Sunday at Samaritan Keep Home, where he had resided since August 2006.
Mr. Charlebois worked in the foundry at New York Air Brake Co., retiring after more than 40 years of service.
Born Aug. 15, 1921, in Theresa, son of Frank and Pearl Kring Charlebois, he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps and later joined the Army in May 1944. He served in the Asiatic-Pacific theater with Battery D, 164th Antiaircraft Artillery Gun Battalion, and was honorably discharged in April 1946.
He married Hannah J. Curry on Aug. 9, 1941, in Dexter. She died April 8, 1992.
He was a member of the Foundry Moulders Union and was an avid stock car racing fan.
Surviving are two sons, Clifton R., Watertown, and LaMont E., Middletown, Conn.; four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Six sisters died before him.
A graveside service will be at the family's convenience in North Watertown Cemetery.
