Mrs. Holtz is the former Vivian Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Err Miller. Johnstown RD 1. She is employed by Kasson & Keller, Fonda. He is engaged in farming In the Mc Kinley section.
The occasion was celebrated with a family gettogether when they received many cards, gifts and flowers.

Mrs. Prokop is the former Miss Matilda Nellis, the great-niece of the late Miss Addie Vedder and Mrs. Floyd Youker, this village, and sister of William Nellis, former St. Johnsville boy, who is now residing in Detroit.

FORT PLAIN—Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday in Fort Plain for Bernard W. Gerhartz, 49, who died Friday at his home on Groff Road, Palatine Bridge RD.
Mr. Gerhartz was born in the Town of Palatine and had been engaged in dairy farming. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the American Legion, the Montgomery - Fulton County Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Montgomery County Extension Service, Stone Arabia Grange and the Canajoharie Reformed Church.
He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Carpenter; two sons, David and Steven Gerhartz, and one daughter, Robin, all of Palatine Bridge; a brother, James Gerhartz, Fort Plain; two grandchildren, a niece, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at the Gray Funeral Home, with the Rev. Earl Van Leeuwen, pastor of the Reformed Church, officiating. Burial will be made in the Fort Plain cemetery.

Miss Margaret Carpenter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Carpenter of McKinley, and Private Bernard Gerhartz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Gerhartz of Stone Arabia were married at the home of the bride's parents Friday night. Rev. Christian Walvoord, pastor of the Canajoharie Reformed church, performed the ceremony in the presence of the Immediate families and a f ew friends.
Miss Elsie Gerhartz and Warren Gerhartz, sister and brother of the bridegroom, were the attendants.
A reception was held after the ceremony.
The bride attended the Canajoharie High school and the groom graduated from that school in the class of 1939. He is stationed at Fort Dupont, Dupont, Del.

Steven Gerhartz, 19, of Palatine Bridge RD, died Wednesday afternoon at St. Mary's Hospital Amsterdam. He had been in ill health.
He was born Sept. 29, 1950, in Amsterdamr the son of Bernard, and Margaret Carpenter Gerhartz, and was a 1968 graduate of the Canajoharie Central School, where he had been a member of the National Honor Society. He was a member of the Reformed Church in Canajoharie.
He is survived by his mother, one brother, David Gerhartz, and a sister, Robin Gerhartz; also his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Carpenter, all of Palatine Bridge.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Gray Funeral Home in Fort Plain, with the Rev. Earl Van Leeuwen, pastor of the Canajoharie Reformed Church to officiate. Burial will be made in the Fort Plain cemetery.

PALATINE BRIDGE - Miss Robin Ann Gerhartz, daughter of Mrs. Margaret Gerhartz, Palatine Bridge RD 1, and the late Bernard Gerhartz, was united in marriage to Louis J. Wells Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis J. Wells, Palatine Bridge RD 1, at 11 last Sunday morning, by Family Court Judge Robert Sise in Supreme Court chambers, Amsterdam.
The bride who was given in marriage by her mother, wore a street length dress of white bonded knit. She had white accessories and wore a corsage of pink and white carnations.
Mrs. David Gerhartz, sister in law of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a street length dress of blue bonded knit and she had a pink carnation corsage.
David Gerhartz, brother of the bride, was the best man.
The mother of the bride wore a dress of pink floral crepe with a corsage of pink carnations, the bridegroom's mother chose a beige colored brocade dress and had a pink carnation corsage.
A reception was held at the home of the bridegroom's parents after the ceremony.
The bride was graduated from Canajoharie Central School and attended Berkeley College in White Plains. She is employed at the life Extension Institute in New York City.
The bridegroom is serving with the Coast Guard at Governor's Island. He is a Canajoharie Central School graduate.
The couple will reside at 510 East 87nd Street, New York City.

FORT PLAIN—Miss Patricia Ann Luft and Charles John Carpenter were married Saturday at 3 p.m. at services in the First Reformed Church with the Rev. Chester C. Hilton officiating. The double ring ceremony was used.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell W. Luft, 44 Crouse St., Fort Plain, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Carpenter, Fort Plain RD. 4.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. The maid of honor was Miss Donna Joan Luft, a sister of the bride.
Other bridal attendants included: Margaret Gerhartz, sister of the bridegroom, Palatine Bridge R.D. 1, who was the bridesmaid; Marlyn E. Wahler, friend of the bride of Fort Plain, another bridesmaid, and Barbara E. Luft, sister of the bride, who was the flower girl.
The best man was Richard Edward Luft, cousin of the bride from Fort Plain. The ushers included William C. Dlllenbeck Jr., cousin of the bridegroom from Canajoharie R.D., and Stanton Weaver, friend of the bridegroom, Canajoharie RD.
Bernard David Gerhartz, a nephew of the bridegroom from Palatine Bridge RD. 1, was the ringbearer.
The church was decorated with vases of white pompons on the altar and with candelabra in the background.
Organ music was provided by Mrs. Clyde Hood, Fort Plain; who played "Song of Love," "O Promise Me," "I Love You Truly" and "Because."
The bride wore a whitegown of Chantilly lace over a satin bodice, a skirt with a satin redingote and a Queen Elizabeth collar. The gown was scalloped in front and buttoned down the front. The gown ended in a court train. Her veil was, made of imported silk Illusion and was attached to a half hat of white satin. She carried an arm bouquet of red roses with white satin streamers
The maid of houor had an aqua colored gown of nylon net over satin. She had a matching cape and mitts and wore and aqua picture hat. Her arm bouquet was pink gladioli
Margaret Gerhartz' gown was made of yellow nylon marquisette with an illusion neckline. She wore matching gloves and a picture hat She carried an arm bouquet of orchid gladioli. Miss Welder's gown was of pink nylon marquisette with an illusion neckline. She wore matching gloves and a picture hat She carried a bouquet of yellow gladioli. Miss Luft wore a gown of white embroidered organdy over pink taffeta with a portrait neckline, a fitted bodice and a full hoop skirt. She wore a pink net tiara.
The bride's mother wore a purple crepe dress with velvet trim and a black velvet hat and accessories. She wore a yellow pompon corsage. The bridegroom's mother wore an aqua taffeta dress, a black velvet hat and matching accessories. She wore a white pompon corsage.
The reception was held for 125 guests in the First Reformed Church. Table decorations consisted of the wedding cake and four huge candles.
The couple are now on a wedding trip to the Thousand Islands and Canada. For her going away dress the bride wore a gabardine suit of green and black checks, a black hat and matching accessories. She wore a white pompon corsage.
They plan to return Sept. 27 and will live at Fort Plain R.D. 4.
The bride is a graduate of the Fort Plain Central School, Class of '52, and is now secretary to John F. Bennison, surrogate court judge.
The bridgroom attended Canajoharie Central School and is now
employed in farming with his father.

FORT PLAIN - Mr. and Mrs. Charles Carpenter, 16 Wagner street, Fort Plain, observed their 25th wedding anniversary at a family dinner party at the Poplars, Fultonville, Saturday evening.
Hosting the occasion were the couple's son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis J. Yacobucci, Canajoharie, and their son, Larry Carpenter, Fort Plain, and his fiancee, Miss Sue Mason, Canajoharie.
The couple cut a decorated anniversary cake and received cards and gifts commemorating the occasion.
Charles Carpenter, Fort Plain RD 2, and Patricia Luft, Fort Plain, were married Sept. 20, 1952, in the Fort Plain Reformed Church with the Rev. Chester C. Chilton performing the ceremony.
The attendants were Richard Luft and the bride's sister, Mrs. Walter (Donna) Szymanak.
Mrs. Carpenter is employed as a legal secretary by Attorney Frederick J. Kirkpatrick, Fort Plain. Mr. Carpenter is an employe of the New York State Department of Transportation at Fultonville.

Mr. Kenneth G. Dillenbeck, born in 1939, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2015 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown, NY. He lived on East Main Street. The family is grateful for the care offered by Dr. Bruce A. Kramer, nurses, and hospice staff through Bassett Healthcare.
Ken was born on June 14, 1939 in Little Falls to parents William and Lena (Smith) Dillenbeck and was educated in the Nelliston / Fort Plain areas. His marriage to the former Carol E. Eacker took place March 28, 1959 at the Fort Plain Reformed Church. At one time he worked with White Mop of Fultonville and was also a self – employed trucker. For many years he was known throughout St. Johnsville assisting in the removal of trash around the area.
He is survived by his wife Carol, three sons, Brian Dillenbeck (Tamala) of St. Johnsville, Barry Dillenbeck of Fort Plain, and Dorr Dillenbeck of Nelliston, a sister Betty Neri (Mike) of Broadalbin – Perth, a grandson David Dillenbeck, a brother – in – law, Adelbert “Juny” Eacker of Nelliston and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Jeffrey and William.
His family has pre-planned all arrangements with The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street in St. Johnsville, NY. A memorial service will be held at 12 pm (NOON) on Thursday August 20th, at Enea Family Funeral Home, Center Street in St. Johnsville. Calling hours will be held from 11 until Noon, prior to the memorial service. We will then proceed to Ephratah Rural Cemetery for interment in the family plot.

Miss Carol E. Eacker, daughter of Mrs. Joel M. Shear of Fort Plain, and Adelbert Eacker of Fairfield, was married to Kenneth G. Dillenbeck, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Dillenbeck of Fort Plain, on the afternoon of March 28.
Rev. Gordon P. Alexander performed the double ring ceremony at 2 o'clock in Fort Plain Reformed Church. The church was decorated with baskets of Easter lilies. Mrs. Clyde Hood, organist, offered traditional music.
The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Dorr Eacker of Little Falls, wore a white ballerina gown of Chantllly lace over satin, fashioned with scalloped Sabrina neckline, fitted bodice, short cap sleeves and hoop skirt. Her veil of silk illusion was caught to a bridal crown with rhinestones and seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of white roses.
Mrs. Roseanne Edwards of Gansevoort, sister of the bride, was her only attendant. Her ballerina gown of pink organza over taffeta was styled with rounded neckline, fitted bodice and hoop skirt. Her headpiece was a bandeau of nylon net embroidered with pink sequins and tiny pearls. Her colonial bouquet was of white roses.
William C. Dillenbeck Jr. was best man for his brother. Carl VanPatten, uncle of the bridegroom, and Adelbert Eacker Jr., brother of the bride, were ushers.
The bride's mother wore a pastel colored spring dress with matching accessories and the mother of the bridegroom chose a dress of white and silver metallic cloth, with white accessories. Their corsages were of pink roses.
A reception followed at the Creekside, East Creek.
After their wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Dillenbeck will reside in Fort Plain. The bride is self-employed as a dancing Instructor. The bridegroom is employed at Adler's Creamery. Both attended Fort Plain Central school.

ST. JOHNSVILLE - Mr. and Mrs. Lester Rockefeller, Averill St., St. Johnsville, observed their 60th wedding anniversary on Sunday afternoon with an open house in the Fellowship room of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
The function was arranged by their family, and many friends, neighbors and members of St. Paul's congregation visited the couple during the afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Rockefeller were also honored at a dinner last week given by Miss Theresa Elms at her home. The Rev. and Mrs. William Gilpin were also present.
Mr. Rockefeller and the fomer Ida Swartz were married Feb. 18, 1914, at the home of Mrs. Rockefeller' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Swartz of South St. Johnsville. The Rev. Byron Fake, officiated.
Attendants were Miss Mable Lowell, now Mrs. Harvey Smith Sr., of Fort Plain, and Sheldon Weaver, who is deceased.
Mr. and Mrs. Rockefeller have always resided in the St. Johnsville area, and until 1942 they conducted a farm. Mr. Rockefeller, thereafter, was employed as a carpenter by the New York Central Railroad until his retirement in 1957. He then was self-employed as a carpenter until 1973. He is now a custodian at St. Paul's Church.
The couple has four daughters: Mrs. Clayton Douglas, Fort Plain; Mrs. Robert March, Longwood, Fla.; Mrs. Leland Smith of St. Johnsville, and Mrs. Phillip Helmer of Little Falls, all of whom were present for the anniversary.
Mr. and Mrs. Rockefeller also have 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Maynard Tansley, Santa Monica, Calif., who resided with Mr. and Mrs. Rockefeller as a young man, was also present.

Milo A. Tansley, 49, Herkimer, died Monday afternoon in Little Falls Hospital, where he had been a patient for only a few hours. He had been in ill health for more than a year.
Tansley was born in the Town of St. Johnsville, Oct 1, 1913, the son of Jesse and Abbie Weaver Tansley. His early life was spent in the local area, where he attended St. Johnsville schools.
He was an employee for many years of the Hale Bookcase Company in Herkimer.
He was a member of the trinity Lutheran Church, Herkimer.
On Aug. 18, 1934 he was married in Fort Plain to Flora Elwood, who survives.
Other survivors are five daughters: Miss Shirley Tansley, Albany; Mrs John Witkowski, Newark; Mrs John Bladek, East Creek; and Misses Beverly and Nancy at home; two sons; Robert Tansley at Newark, and Richard at home; two brothers; Lt. Col. Maynard Tansley, Santa Monica, Calif. and Norman Getman, Valley Falls; three grandchildren, neices and nephews and uncles and aunts.

ST. JOhnsville - Mrs. Flora B. Tansley, 54, a resident of teh St. Johnsville area for many years, and whose present home was at Mohawk RD 2, died yesterday in Little Falls Hospital.
She was born in South Columbia a daughter of Louis and Ethel Goodmen Elwood. Her husband, Milo Tansley, dies several years ago. Mrs. Tansley was last employed by Mohawk Data Sciences in Herkimer, She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Herkimer.
She leaves two sons, Robert, Seneca Falls and Richard at home, five daughters, Capt. Shirley Tansley, Stuyvestant Falls: Mrs John (Joan) Witkowski, Newark, N. Y.; Mrs. ----- (Thelma) B---, Little Falls; Mrs. Terry (Beverly) D----, Whitesboro, and Mrs. Richard (Nancy) S---gas, Mohawk and two brothers, Robert A. Elwood and Arthur Elwood.
The funeral will be at 11 Saturday from the S--- Funeral Home. Burial will be next spring in St. Johnsville Cemetery.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the home near Newville for Linda Lee Tansley, one-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milo Tansley. The child died on December 9 at their home, after a sudden heart attack. She was born December 6, 1943, daughter of Milo and Flora Elwood Tansley. The parents, brothers and sisters survive.
The Rev. Franklin J. Schwelger of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, officiated at the funeral. The body was placed in the vault of Prospect View cemetery, for burial in the Spring.

Surviving are her husband, Robert A. Markey: a son, Leon W. two brothers, Harry Miles, in the Navy and Alvin Miles of Florida; two, sisters, Mrs. Lucille Smith, St Johnsetille, and Mrs. Otto Blothenburg, Sharon Springs.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a. m. today from the Smith Funeral Home St. Johnsville, and at 9:30 from St. Patrick's Church, that village. Burial will be made in Prospect View Cemetery, St. Johnsville.

ST. JOHNSVILLE-Otto L. Blothenburg, 63, of Sharon Springs, father of two St. Johnsville men, died Thursday in his home. Death was due to natural causes.
Mr. Blothenburg had resided in Sharon Springs the past 30 years.
He was employed by the Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation for 40 years, retiring in 1973 as a line foreman in the Canajoharie area.
Surviving are his wife, Harriett; two sons, Otto L. Blothenburg, Jr., and Dale Blothenburg, both of St. Johnsville; one daughter, Mrs. Shirley. B. Engle of Sharon Springs; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Cook, San Francisco, Calif.; Mrs. Emma McCarthy, Long Island, and Mrs. Bertha Hayes, Middleburg.

Otto Blothenbnrg, son of Mrs and Mrs. Otto Blothenburg of Canajoharie, and Miss Harriet Miles, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Miles of this village, were united in marriage at the parsonage of the Methodist Episcopal church in this village last Wednesday evening by the Rev. Royal B. Fishbeck, pastor. The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. D. N. Gardiner of Cherry Valley.

Miss Janice Marie Romer,daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl F. Romer of Glens Falls and Dale Allen Blothenburg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Blothenburg of Sharon Springs, who were married Aug. 14 in Christ Methodist Church in Glens Falls. will reside at 30 Bridge St., St.
Johnsville, where both will be employed.
Mrs. Blothenburg will begin her first year as a third grade teacher in the St. Johnsville Elementary School. Her husband is now employed in St. Johnsville by the Niagara Mohawk Power Corp.
The couple was married at a candlelight evening ceremony in the chapel lounge of the church, the Rev. Richard H. Welkey officiating at the double ring rite. Mrs. H. William Dixon was organist.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an A-line full length gown of white lace over taffeta, the bodice and long sleeves of silk organza accented,with lace appliques. A wreath of yellow rosebuds held her shoulder length veil and she carried a white Bible covered with a cluster of yellow rosebuds, baby's breath and white ribbon streamers.
Mrs. Scott Lynk of Vergennes, Vt., was her matron of honor wearing a floor length gown of yellow crepe, the empire waist defined with yellow ribbon. Her headpiece was a matching yellow bow, and she carried a single long stemmed yellow rose set in greens and baby's breath.
Scott Lynk, Vergennes, served as best man.
A dinner for the immediate family members was held at Chateau de Louis in South Glens Falls after the ceremony. Leaving on a wedding trip to Pennsylvania and Virginia the bride wore a white knit pant suit with white accessories and a corsage of yellow rosebuds.
The bride is a graduate of the Glens Falls High School and State University College at Oswego and has taught first grade in the Sharon Springs Central School for the past three years. Mr. Blothenburg is a graduate of the Sharon Springs Central High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Little Falls— Harry Miles, 41, died unexpectedly Saturday, Nov. 2, 1957, at his home, 92 West Mam St.
Miles was found dead by Little Falls polite late Saturday night after they were summoned by neighbors. Anautopsy was performed by Dr. Ward Cook, county pathologist, after Coroner C. C. Whitemore was summoned and cause of death was listed as "extensive pneumonia with a possibility of a flu basis."
Mr. Miles was born Feb. 29, 1916, in St Johnsville, son of the late Nathan and Lillian West Miles. He was married to Helen Slade in 1937 and, had lived in this area most of his life.
He had been employed by the H. P. Snyder Manufacturing Company, where he worked until last week.
Surviving are a son. Richard, Little Falls; a brother, Alvin, Little Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Smith of St. Johnsville; Mrs. Harriett Blothenburg, Sharon Springs.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 today from the Chapman Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Harold Thompson, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Rural Park Cemetery, Ingham s Mills.
