PALMER, Warren, Age 90, of Watkins Glen, died September 30, 2006. The family will receive friends at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Pleasant View Cemetery, Reading Center; Rev. J. Keith Kissel will officiate. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth on October 3, 1997. Survivors include his son, Warren L. (Phyllis) Palmer of Watkins Glen; three grandchildren, Kelly (Jody) Bliss of Rock Stream, Kevin (Jean) Plamer of Burdett, and Kyle (Rosana) Palmer of Ft, Belvoir, VA; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Bozich of Watkins Glen; and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by a brother and sister, Sherman and Helen Palmer. Warren retired from Sheppard Niles. He served honorably in the US Navy during WWII and was a member of the local V.F.W. and American Legion Posts. PALMER, Ruth J. Age 80, of 3019 Abrams Road, Watkins Glen, died Thursday, October 2, 1997 at hew home. Friends may call at the Haughey-Wood Funeral Home, 119 5th Street, Watkins Glen, on Sunday from 1:00-3:00 PM with funeral services following at the funeral home at 3:00 PM with Rev, J. Kenneth Kissel officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery in Reading Center. Memorials may be made ti the Southern Tier Hospice, the Amercian Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice. Mrs.Palmer was born on October 13, 1916 in Watkins Glen and was the daughter of John and Grace Carman Rirrick. She had worked at Posse's Department Store, Seneca Variety, Seneca Army Depot and the Seneca Lodge. She is survived by her husband, Warren; son, Butch (Phyllis) Palmer of Watkins Glen; sister, Jacqueline "Cis" Bozich of Watkins Glen; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
