Earl Getman
April 26, 1932 - February 20, 2008
Earl Getman – 75 passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2008. Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, February 22, 2008 at First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Kevin Anderson, pastor of First Assembly of God Church of Stratford officiating, assisted by Rev. Damon Akins pastor of First Assembly of God Church of Dumas. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Earl Getman was born April 26, 1932 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Clarence and Leah Getman. On October 15, 1958 he married Bonnie Grider in Deming, New Mexico. He worked for Lewis Construction from 1962 to 1992. He was a heavy equipment operator and a truck driver. Earl had lived in Cactus since 1962 and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dumas.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Leah Reynolds and brothers, Donald and Frank Getman.
Survivors include; his wife, Bonnie of the home; daughters, Earline Getman of Cactus and Tammie Nash of St. Joseph, MO; son, Rickey Getman and wife, Delvia of Pauls Valley, Okla; brothers, Harlan Getman and wife Corrine and Clarence Getman and wife Dorthie all of Dumas and Raymond Getman and wife LouJean of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Brandon and Cynda Nash and Skylar and Jaedyn Getman.
Memorial may be made to First Assembly of God Church, PO Box 764, Dumas, TX 79029.

Marjorie Elaine Getman went to be with the Lord on the 4th of January 2017. Marjorie, the beloved wife of Frank E. Getman was survived by: their three children Sonja Getman Scott, Frank Russell Getman and Charlotte Getman Mitchell, 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Marjorie and Frank's daughter, Teresa Getman Morgan went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2015. Frank E. Getman went to be with the Lord on December 14, 2001. Marjorie and Frank were exemplary evidence of love, partnership, community and Christianity. Their union happily weathered almost a golden half of a century. Marjorie was a shining example of a daughter, sister, mother and teacher. She did not sugar coat most things but was instead honest and encouraging, waiting in the wings for us all to shine. Till the end she upheld her intelligence and humor, playing cards with family members, engaging and gracing us all with her laughter and wit. Marjorie's faith and actions remained righteous in the Lord and her heart filled with hymns until this day.

Loujean Getman, 78 of Amarillo, passed on Sunday, December 20, 2020.
Loujean, or “Jeanie”, as she was called by her dad, was born on January 19, 1942 to William “Bill” and Blanche Athalie Russell, (maiden name Williams) in Deming, NM. A memorial service will be held at 3 o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Beeson - Morrison Funeral Directors in Dumas, TX.
Loujean met the love of her life, Raymond Getman, while she was attending Deming High School. Raymond and Loujean were married on October 5, 1958.
Loujean and Raymond lived in several states across the southwest including NM, AZ, OK and TX, as they raised their family of three sons. Loujean was very involved in her sons’ school activities. She also operated a school bus and often worked as a substitute teacher.
Loujean’s wonderful sense of humor, generosity to all and positive attitude will be missed by so many.
Loujean was preceded in death by her brother James “Butch” and her parents.
Loujean is survived by her husband, Raymond of Amarillo; sons: Gary and wife, Nguyet Ly of Houston; Russell Dean and wife, Shelia of Clarkesville, GA; and Ray and wife, Carrie of Amarillo; sister, Martie Smith of Sherwood, OR; sister-in-law Betty Russell of Las Cruces, NM; grandchildren: Tyson and wife, Kelli of Strafford, MO; Terrah and husband, Preston Titterington of Dallas; Audrey and husband, Zack Garrison of Ft. Worth; Rachel of Dallas; and six great grandchildren.
