Marriage Notes for Peter Carl Palmateer and Beverly Jean Colby
- Wedding Announcement (The Leader-Herald, Gloversville-Johnstown, NY, Tuesday, September 3, 1957)
In a setting of white gladioli at Trinity Episcopal Church at 2 Saturday afternoon, Miss Beverly J. Colby, 189 Spring Street, daughter of Mrs. William H. Colby, of Seattle, Wash., and William Colby of this city, became the bride of Peter C. Palmateer of 10 Steele Avenue. He is the son of Mrs. Frances Palmateer, 10 Steele Avenue and Clarence Palmateer, 9 Reld Street.
The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. HP . Kaulfuss and the wedding music was played by Mrs. Harold Cohen.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of nylon tulle and Chantilly lace over satin styled with a fitted, bodice and sabrina neckline, full skirt ending in a short sweep. Her headdress was a Queen Ann Crown of seed pearls and was attached to a ballerina length veil. She carried a bouquet of white roses with an orchid center.
The maid of honor, Miss Emogene Ferguson, wore a floor length gown of lavender net over taffeta with matching hat and carried a bouquet of white pompons and yellow roses. The best man was Frederick Palmateer,brother of the bridegroom and the ushers were James, John and William Palmateer, brothers of the bridegroom.
The bride's mother wore a tan dress with dark brown velvet accessories and the bridegroom's mother wore a beige suit with black accessories. Their corsages were red roses.
A reception followed the ceremony at the VFW Home and was attended by 250 guests.
After a wedding trip to Niagara Falls, the newlyweds will reside at 17 Addison Street, The bride's traveling outfit was a gray suit and she wore an orchid corsage.
Mr. and Mrs. Palmateer both attended Gloversville High School. He is employed in the blacktop business.
Out of town guests were from Rochester, Buffalo, Fonda, Newburgh, Seattle, Wash. Fort Plain, St. Johnsvllle.Divorce (The Leader-Herald, Gloversville - Johnstown, NY, Friday, January 8, 1965)
An interlocutory decree of divorce granted in favor of Mrs. Beverly Polmateer, 189 Spring Street, against Peter Palmateer, Yost Street, Johnstown, has become final.
The decree was granted by Supreme Court Justice Michael E. Sweeney, Saratoga Springs
Mrs. Palmateer was represented by Atty. Ernest Abdella.

Marriage Notes for Jacqueline C Palmateer and David H Bramer

Miss Jacqueline C. Palmateer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Palmateer of 18 Fon Clair Street, became the bride of David H. Bramer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bramer of Northville at a ceremony at 2 Saturday afternoon at the First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Robert S. Magee, pastor, performed the double ring ceremony.
White Gladioli, mums and pompons decorated the altar. Mrs. Ramon Strecter of Gloversville sang, "I Love You Truly", "Through the Years" and "The Lord's Prayer." She was accompanied at the organ by Arthur J. Williams.
The bride, given in maniage by her father, wore a white delustered satin gown designed with a jewel neckline, Empire waist, long pointed sleeves. The Aline, lace appliqued skirt was fashioned with a detachable train caught at the waist back. Her triple-tiered bouffant Swiss imported illusion veil fell from a miniature pillbox trimmed with seed pearls and iridescent crystals. She carried a cascade of Happiness roses.
Miss Carleen Stensel of New York City was maid of honor. Miss Jane Horning of Gloversville RD, and Mrs. Bonnie Dingley of Cohoes, sister-in-law if the bride, were attendants
All the attendants were attired in Olivette velvet and peau de faille gowns designed with scoopnecklines, three quarter sleeves,Aline skirt and an Empire waistaccented with a satin band ending in a bow and panels at theback. They wore matching velvet cloche bows with bouffant veiling. They carried basket arrangements of bronze and gold pompons, fall foliage and cattails.
Philip Palmateer of Johnstown, brother of the bride was best man. Ushers were Bruce Gardner of Mayfield and William Dingley of Cohoes.
The mother of the bride wore a midnight blue lame dress and matching assessories with a cymbidium orchid and white rose corsage. The mother of the bridegroom wore a gold brocade dress with a cranberry red hat and gold accessories with a corsage of a cymbidium orchids and white roses.
A reception for 200 was held at the Rainbow Restaurant at Johnstown after the ceremony with guests attending from Johnstown, Gloversville, Schenectady, New York City, Binghamton, and towns in Connecticut, Long Island and Louisiana.
For a trip to the New England States, the bride wore a winter white wool dress, a blue knit coat, matching accessories and red roses. The couple will reside at Mayfield.
Attendants were presented gifts at a rehearsal party Friday night at the home of the bride.
The bride is a 1961 graduate of Johnstown High School and Ellis Hospital School of Nursing at Schenectady. She is a member of the nursing staff at Amsterdam Memorial Hospital. The bridegroom a 1961 graduate of Northville Central School, is selfemployed in the used car sales and auto repairing business.

DOLGEVILLE - Arthur A. Youker, 69, of 6 East Spofford, Ave Dolgeville, died yesterfay in Little Falls Hospital after a long illness.
Born in the Inghams Mills area, he attended rural schools in the Town of Oppenheim.
In 1934, he married Helen Leavitt in Dolgeville. Mrs. Youker died in 1972.
A Dairy farmer, Mr. Youker operated his own farm in the Town of Oppenheim until his retirement in 1973.
A member of the Inghams Mills Baptist Church, he was also a member of the Cathecknie Grange.
He leaves two daughters. Mrs. Harold (Betty) Gray, Dolgeville; Miss Marion Youker, Dolgeville; one brother, Harland, Dolgeville;
and two sisters, Mrs. Arnold (Leola) Stahl, Little Falls, and Mrs. Jacob (Armetta) Seifried, Little Falls.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Leon E. Buck Funeral Home. Burial will be in B Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow.

ST. JOHNSVILLE - Mrs Helen S. Youker, 59, wife of Arthur Youker of the Inghams Mills area, St. Johnsville RD 2, died Monday morning in Little Falls Hospital.
Mrs. Youker was born in Stratford Feb. 1, 1913, daughter of Frank and Lucy Belcher Leavitt. She resided for some years in Dolgeville, and was a graduate of the Dolgeville High School.
Her marriage to Arthur Youker took place Oct. 24, 1934, in Dolgeville.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dolgeville; a 25-year charter member of Cathetackne Grange in Manheim, and an officer of that organization. She also was a member of Pomona, State and National Granges.
Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Harold Gray Jr., and Miss Marion G. Youker, both of St. Johnsville RD 2; her mother, Mrs. Lucy Leavitt, and one sister, Mrs. Michael Tamburro, both of Sangerfield, four grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
