  TOMLINSON, Howard Born on November 6, 1923, in Los Angeles. California. Passed away on October 15, 2001.
   A UCLA graduate, CPA and a lieutenant on the Destroyer Fanning in the South Pacific in World War II. He is survived by his wife, Joan; children, Timothy, Alice, Amy, William, and Thomas; and his grandchildren.
   Memorial service to be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 19, 2001, at the Church of the Hills, Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Forest Lawn Mortuary.

Norman Edward Rudy MD

 - Obituary (The Fresno Bee, Fresno, California, Sunday, December 10, 2000)
  Norman E Rudy MD., son of the late Norman and Grace Rudy of Fresno died on November 12, 2000 in Santa Monica. Norman was born in Fresno on May 17, 1926. He attended schools in Fresno and was a graduate of the University of Maryland Medical School.
  He practiced medicine in Santa Monica where he was a Chief of Surgery at St John's Hospital and was an associate Professor of Surgery at UCLA Medical School. Among his many achievements he was the Davis Cup Tennis Team Doctor from 1965 to 1974 and was an accomplished Violinist. He practiced medicine until April 2000 when he was diagnosed with cancer. He is lovingly remembered by Doctors patients friends and family.
  He is survived by his wife Susan his children Kim Andrews, Kevin Rudy, Peter Rudy, Reed Rudy nine grandchildren his brother Richard Rudy of Carmel and sister Sister Marilyn Rudy CSJ of Santa Barbara.
  His Memorial Mass was celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church Pacific Palisades on November 17, 2000. Any memorial gifts may be made to your favorite charity.

  Mr and Mrs Clarence Coulter of Westwood have announced the engagement of their daughter Susan Leigh to Dr Norman Edward Rudy of Fresno.
  The betrothal was revealed to friends of the bride at a luncheon given by an aunt Mrs Theodore Off and a sister Mrs Howard Tomlinson Jr. in the Off home in Los Angeles.
  The couple will be married March 14th in a ceremony in Westwood.
   Miss Coulter was graduated from the University of California at Los Aneles and is a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.
  Dr Rudy attended the Fresno State College and earned his doctor of medicine degree in the University of Maryland Medical School. He is a member of the Sigma Chi and Nu Sigma Nu Fraternities At present he is a lieutenant in the air force assigned as a surgeon to the Mather Field Air Base Hospital near Sacramento.
  He is a son of Mr and Mrs Norman Rudy of Fresno

  COULTER, Clarence Webster a San Marino resident for 33 years, passed away May 25, 1998 due to a stroke suffered while vacationing in Hawaii. He is survived by wife of 45 years, Rita Kirby Coulter; daughters, Caryn Coulter, Lisa Woolf, and Sandra Cash; sons-in-law, Stuart Woolf and Rob Cash; grandchtldren: Coulter, Morgan, Jack, Haley, and Wiley Woolf and Nick and Dana Cash; sisters, Susan Rudy and Joan Tomlinson.
   Born (March 23, 1929) and raised in Westwood, California, he attended UES Elementary School, University High School and was a 1953 U.C.L.A. graduate where he was in Sigma Nu fraternity and a U.C.L.A. water polo team member. Lt. jg, U.S. Navy until 1957, then established C W Coulter Inc. as mechanical engineer and sales representative for Redman Equipment. A member of Valley Hunt Club, San Marino City Club, Valley Club, Joie du Vin Society, member and past president of San Marino Tennis Foundation and "Twentieth Century Round Table". Enthusiastic Bruin fan, tennis player, skier, and gardener.

  Webb Coulter, a San Marino resident for 33 years, passed away on May 25 due to a stroke suffered while vacationing in Hawaii with his wife, Rita, in celebration of their 45th wedding anniversary.
  During the first week of their vacation they were joined by their seven grandchildren who were accompanied by their parents. Webb was born in Westwood March 23, 1929 and raised in Westwood where he attended U.E.S. Elementary School, University High School and UCLA where he graduated in 1953 with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration. He was a member of Signa Mu fraternity and played on the UCLA water polo team. He met and married UCLA coed Rita Kirby in 1953 before serving in the U.S. Navy as a Lt. j.g. with the Tactical Air Coastal Squadron.
  In 1960 he founded C.W. Coulter Inc. As a mechanical engineer and sales rep Webb enjoyed a 40 year association with Redman and Equipment and Manufacturing, a manufacturer of equipment for the petrochemical industry.
  He was a member of the Valley Hunt Club, Sam Marino City Club, Valley Club of Pasadena, Joie du Vin Society, charter member and past president of the "Twentieth Century Round Table", and 1980 SMHS Grad Night Co-chairman.
  Webb was a 45 year fan and season ticket subscriber to UCLA Bruin football games, as well as an avid tennis player and skier and devoted gardener.
  He is survived by his wife Rita; daughters Caryn Coulter, Lisa Woolf and Sandra Cash; sons-in-law Stuart Woolf and Rob Cash; grandchildren Coulter, Morgan, Jack, Haley and Wiley Woolf and Nick and Dana Cash; sisters Susan Rudy and Joan Tomlinson.
  Memorial Services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1501 Fremont Ave., South Pasadena on Friday, May 29, at 4 p.m. Interment will be private.

  A blue color theme accented Miss Rita Rose Kirby's wedding Saturday afternoon to Clarence Webster Coulter in St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Westwood. Flowers in blue and white blended with the ceiling and stained glass windows of the church.
   At a reception following in the Garden Room of the Hotel Bel-Air the same decor was re peated in baskets of blue-and-white, flowers. The Rev. Bernard Lohman read the wedding service for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lucian Charles Kirby of Viewpark.
   The bridegroom is the son of Clarence D. Coulter of West Los Angeles and the late Elizabeth Miller Coulter. Mrs. Norman Rudy, the bridegroom's sister, was the honor attendant. Preceding her in the bridal procession were Mmes. Richard Archer, Hunter Crittenden, Milton McEvers, Howard Tomlinson (also the bridegroom's sister) and Donald Morgan.
  Their blue parchment-cloth frocks were in contrast to the bride's ensemble, a gown of white  Chantilly lace. It was fashioned with a sweetheart neckline softened by pleated nylon net and a very full skirt.
  Richard Hammond was best man for the bridegroom. Ushers were Giles Allison, James MacKenzie. Roger Todd, Dr. Norman Rudy and William Sawyer.
  At the reception Mrs. Kirby received in a waltz-length model of white lace over toast net Mrs. Clarence D. Coulter wore a blue lace dress for the occasion.
  After a honeymoon in Palm Springs the Couple will live in Los Angeles.

  Caryn Kirby Coulter, oldest daughter ofWebb and Rita Coulter, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 6 in Pasadena, California. Caryn was born in San Diego March 28, 1956 while her father served in the U.S. Navy. She lived most of her younger years in San Marino attending Stoneman, Huntington and San Marino High School. Caryn was involved in numerous activities including Cheer, Forensics, Amicians service club and ASB student council. An exceptional student, Caryn attended Wellesley, Stanford and Smith College in Switzerland. She earned a Master’s in Business from Stanford University followed by a career in management consulting and executive search with McKinsey and Company and then Lehman Brothers Holding in New York City. Although challenged with the ebbs and flows of a bi-polar disorder diagnosis, Caryn had found solace and content living independently in Sierra Madre with her cat Sweetie Pie. She enjoyed the loyal companionship of many longtime school friends and family members.
  Caryn is survived by her mother Rita Kirby Coulter, sisters Lisa Coulter Woolf of Fresno and Sandra Coulter Cash of Modesto. Her extended family includes brother-in-law Stuart Woolf and Dr. Robert Cash, and 7 nieces and nephews – Coulter, Morgan, Jack, Haley and Wiley Woolf, and Nick and Dana Cash. Caryn was preceded in death by her father Clarence Webster Coulter in 1999.
  A memorial service will be held this Saturday, December 15, 12 pm at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1501 Fremont Ave., South Pasadena.   OFF, Theodore was born January 19, 1928, in Los Angeles and attended University Prep School, Emerson Junior High School and University High School.
   A natural student, Ted attended Stanford University receiving a Master's Degree in Geology in 1952, was member of Beta Theta Pi, editor of "The Quad', the student yearbook, and lettered in track. It was also at Stanford where he met his first wife. Mary Ann Green.
  Heeding the call of the Korean War, Ted enlisted in the Navy and was schooled at the Naval Academy at Monterrey, serving on an LST as a Lt jg for two years. In 1952 Mary Ann gave birth to their first child, Thad.
  Ted returned to school to pursue his doctorate at Princeton University in 1954.
  Leaving Princeton, Ted went to work for Union Oil Company, Ojai. He was then blessed in 1956 with his second child, Tracy Armstrong. After four years working for others. Ted joined the family business, Ojai Oil Company, serving as President since 1968.
  In 1997 Ted married Edith Toohey of Ventura, a life long family friend. Of his life's many passions, two were traveling through Europe, and flying his "B.G.-Big Toy" as he jokingly referred to his Grob motor glider.
  Always a compassionate and youthful man, Ted had a great smile for all he encountered and will be remembered through his tireless commitment to philanthropic organizations of Ventura County. He was a member of numerous associations including AAPG, AIPG, Santa Barbara Geology Club, Coast Geological Society, and the Soaring Club of California.
  Theodore is survived by his mother Dorothy Off of Los Angeles; wife Edith Off; son Thaddeus; daughter Tracy; son-in-law Jeff Stansfield; grandson Mason Theodore Stansfield; brother Doug Off; sister Jan Simis; niece Cathy; nephew Ryan; and canine companion and best friend Corey.

 Quiet rites, elegant in their simplicity, changed Miss Mary Ann Greens name to Mrs. Theodore Off, Jr., Feb. 23 in Stanford University Chapel.
   Robert Alinto, chaplain, officiated at the afternoon, double ring ceremony before the candelabra and spring blossom appointed chancel.
 Mary Ann wore white embroidered organdy fashioned into a full-skirted gown with a short train. She also wore elbow-length gauntlets of self material and a fingertip veil attached to a lace and pearl cloche. Her bridal bouquet was composed of elf roses and hyacinth.
   Miss Janet Catherine Off, a sister of the benedict, was maid of honor. She wore white tucked marquisette cut on simple lines and carried deep shaded roses.  
   Richard Lewis, a classmate of Mr. Off's from Boston, was best man, and David Green, the brides brother, was an usher.
   Guests at the wedding, a few close friends and members of the immediate family, were also guests at a reception in the Marion Antoinette, a Victorian hotel in Menlo Park.
  Mr. and Mrs. Off, Jr., took their honeymoon in Carmel and are presently living in Menlo Park.
   Mary Ann, known locally for her attendance at Visalia schools, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Green of rural Visalia. She I will be graduated from Stanford University at the end of March.
   Mr. Off, son of the senior Offs, a prominent southland family, is studying for his doctors degree at Stanford. He will be inducted into the armed services soon.

  Mr. and Mrs. Lewis W. Mauger of Millburn, N. J., have announced the birth of a son, Peter Warren, on July 22. Mr. Mauger is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Warren Mauger of Parkwood boulevard and was graduated from Union College in the class of 1925.

  Peter W. Mauger, 53, of Harbor Springs and Naples, Fla., died Nov. 17, 1988, at Toronto General Hospital, Toronto, Canada, following a long illness. Funeral was held today, Nov. 21, at the First Presbyterian Church of Harbor Springs. The Rev. Alfred Shands of St. Johns Episcopal Church officiated and interment was in Lakeview Cemetery, Harbor Springs. Mr. Mauger was born July 22, 1935, in Newark, N.J., the son of Lewis and Ruth Pennington Mauger. He was a graduate of Colgate University and Harvard Graduate School of Business. Mr. Mauger had been president of the Indiana Canners Association and director and chairman of the legislative committee of the National Food Processors Association. He was a resident of Portland, Ind., for 26 years and served as president and chief executive officer of Naas Foods. Mr. Mauger was a co-founder of Glenn Beach Partnership Ltd., and he developed Glenn Beach properties in Harbor Springs. He served as chairman of the board of trustees of the Jay County Hospital in Portland and as a deacon of the First Presbyterian Church in Portland.
  He was a current member of the vestry of St. Johns Episcopal Church of Harbor Springs. He was a member of the Harvard Club of New York, the Sutter Club of Sacramento, Calif., the Little Harbor Club and Wequetonsing Gold Club of Harbor Springs and the Portland Country Club and Portland Elks Club. He is survived by his wife, the former Sally Naas; sons William M. Mauger of Indianapolis, Ind., and Charles H. Raunecker of Harbor Springs; daughters Margaret L. and Sarah J. Raunecker, at home; his parents, Lewis W. and Ruth P. Mauger of New Jersey; a sister, Mrs. Jean M. Kirkwood of Las Vegas, Nev.; one brother, William L. of Agoura Hills, Calif. The family suggests memorials to the Bassett Falk Cancer Research Foundation, 700 Bay St., Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M5G1Z6 or to St. Johns Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 52, Harbor Springs, 49740. Marriage Notes for Peter Warren Mauger and Sarah Cornelia Naas

 - Wedding Announcement (Muncie Evening Press, Muncie, IN, Saturday, November 24, 1962)
  A large bouquet of white gladioli and white pompons was in the northex of the First Presbyterian Church of Portland, where Miss Sarah Cornelia Naas became the bride this afternoon of Peter Warren Mauger.
   Their double-ring vows were received by Rev. Richard N. Chase, pastor of the church, at 3:30 p.m. Soprano soloist was Miss Melinda Kessler of Muncie. Playing the prelude and background of bridal music was Gerald Crawford.
   In the center of the altar was a low-spreading bouquet of white gladioli and pompons, with three-branch altar candelabra bearing lighted white candles at each side. Leading to the chancel steps were two tall vases of white pompons and gladioli and two pair of seven-branch candelabra. Lighted white candles filled the window ledges and badges of white ribbons and white pompons marked the reserved pews.
   The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell Neff Naas of South Meridian Road, Portland. Mr. Mauger is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Warren Mauger, 81 West Road, Short Hills, N.J.
  Mr. Naas gave his daughter in marriage. Her gown of white peau de soie featured a circlet neckline and elbo-length sleeves. The paniered, rounded front skirt, with a full back of unpressed pleats, fell from a crescent-shaped bustline and natural waist, into a cathedral train.
  Her Chantilly lace veil, imported by the bride from Brussells, fell into cathedral length. Her cos tume was accented with short white gloves and a pearl necklace, which belonged to her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Charles O. Schuster, formerly of Muncie.
   Her flowers were a cascade of white roses and lilies of the valley.
   Miss Lydia P. Naas of Evanston, III., was her sisters honor attendant. Their cousin, Miss Elizabeth A. Roos of Muncie, served as bridesmaid, with Miss Melinda Kessler of Muncie, and Miss Joan Bailey of Belmont, Mass., Wellesley College roommate of the bride.
  The attendants' dresses, fashioned alike in champagne Satin du Charme of ballerina length. featured circle necklines and elbo sleves. The dome silhouette enhanced with gold lame embroidery, fell from a natural waistline topped with avocado green velveteen ribbon.
  The headpiece and slippers of the maid of honor were in avocado, while those of the maids were champagne. Each carried a cascade of gold daisy pompons accented with natural wheat and green grapes.
   William Lewis Mauger of Short; Hills, was best man. Another brother, Theodore Fitch Mauger of Alton, Ill., served as groomsman with Paul S. Collins of New York City, Frank L. Klapperich of Northbrook, Ill., and David E. Hall and Richard J. Meeker of Portland.
  Mrs. Naas, mother of the bride, was in avocado green peau de soie styled with a circlet neckline and elbo sleves. The controlled skirt had a side drarpe. Her long gloves were white kid and small hat, of crushed ostrich feathers in avocado green.
  The mother of the bridegroom wore a cafe au lait satin brocade damask sheath with side-draped sash and elbo sleeves. It was accented with long, white kid gloves and a small hat of ostrich feathers.
  Both mothers had corsages of cymbidium orchids.
  About 275 guests were received at the Portland Country Club. Mr. and Mrs. Lee G. Hall, Mr. and Mrs. J. Gordon Meeker and Mr. and Mrs. John J. Jaqua, all of Portland, greeted guests and served as hosts and hostesses. Mrs. John Minch of Decatur and Mrs. Jerry Reed of Muncie tended the guest book.
   Back of the receiving line, the fireplace was banked with palms, gold and bronze pompons, wheat and bronze candles. The three- tiered hors d'oeuvre table, topped by a large fall floral arrangement, was draped with smilax topped with avocado green velveteen ribbon. and gold pompons.
  An antique candelabra, which had belonged to the bride's maternal great - great - grandmother, was used on the coffee table. The all-white cake, topped with a small bouquet of white roses, was shaped in five tiers. Background music during the reception and for dancing was by the Hickman Ensemble from Muncie.
  After the bride tossed her bouquet from the balcony of the club the couple left for a two- week wedding trip to Bermuda. She traveled in a nubby coffee brown wool costume suit, its full-length beige coat collared in fox.
  After Dec. 8, they'll live at 819 E. Water St. Portland.
  The bride received her B. A. degree from Wellesley college in 1961 and her M.A.T. from Harvard University in 1962. She is a member of Beta Theta chapter of Tri Kappa sorority in Portland.
  Mr. Mauger was awarded his B.A. degree from Colgate University ion 1957 and his M.A. in business from the Harvard Graduate School of Business in 1961. He is a member ofr the Harvard Club of New York City; has served with the U.S. Army and is associated with Nass Foods, Inc., Portland.

   Miss Hayman attended Skidmore College following her graduation from Mamaroneck High School in 1958, and was graduated in 1961 from the Kathaine Glbbs School in New York. She is employed as a secretary at the Technical Materiel Corp. in Mamaroneck. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Albert C. Hatfield of Larchmont and the late Mr Hatfield, and the late Mr and Mrs. William C. Hayman of Schenectady.
  Mr. O'Dwyer, a Mamaroneck High School alumnus, was graduated in 1960 from Lafayette College where he was a member of Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity. He has completed his first year at Cornell Law School where he is a mrmber of Phi Delta Phi, legal fraternity.
  The prospective bridegroom, who holds a commission as a second lieutenant in the U. S. Army Reserve, is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs, George Sidney Starbuck and Mr. and Mrs. Edward F. O'Dwyer of New York. Mr, Dwyer was formerly chief justice of the City Court of New York.

  Marty Henes, age 73, passed away peacefully and lovingly at Akron City Hospital Hospice on the morning of April 30th after a six year courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
   Marty was a 45 year long resident of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Martha Lee Hayman was born to Doris and Donald Hayman of Floral Park, Long Island on September 27, 1939. After graduating from Sewanhaka High School, Marty moved to Ohio to attend Muskingum College where she met and fell in love with (Jim) James Henes. They were married on April 1st, 1961 and moved to Cuyahoga Falls. Jim and Marty celebrated 52 years of marriage this past April.
   Marty was a substitute school teacher for several local school districts but spent the majority of her time teaching for Woodridge, where both of her children attended. Marty later worked at Prudential and then Benefit Services as a claims agent until she retired in 2002. Marty had a deep passion for music and for The Lord. She was a faithful member of The First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls for over 40 years where she sang in the Chancel Choir, served as a soloist and was a loving member of the New Wine Sunday School Class. She was also was a member of The Cuyahoga Falls Community Chorus and loved to use her voice to share and minister the message of Christ and to spread joy to anyone who wanted to listen.
  Marty is lovingly survived by her husband, (Jim) James; son, (Bob) Robert Henes (Laurie), both of Cary, N.C.; daughter, Christie Rosencrance (Ryan) of East Canton;, and adored grandchildren, (Elly) Elena (14), Jordan (10), Laney, (six months), Tyler (19), Kyle (18), Jessica (15); brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jerry and Helen Prittie of Louisville, Ky.; best friends (adopted family) of 40 years, Harvey and Sharon Nerhood of Cuyahoga Falls, and her beloved grand dog, Cooper.
  Marty was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Hayman; father, Donald Hayman; younger sister, Carol Hayman; and brother-in-law, (Sam) Samuel Henes.
  Calling hours will be held at 10 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. and Luncheon at 12 noon on Saturday, May 4th at The First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the music program of First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls (contact Director, Dean Wagner) or to the Cuyahoga Falls Community Chorus (contact Director, Ted Shure) in honor of Marty's love and passion for a life filled with music.
On behalf of Marty Henes and her entire family, we would like to thank our friends and loved ones who have showered us with unconditional love and support during the past six years, and to the Oncology Team, Surgery Team, Nursing Staff, Home Health Nurses and Palliative Care Specialists at Akron City Hospital who have treated our dear loved one3 and us wioth dignity and kindness and provided the higest level of compassionate care we could have asked for. Thank You.
  Marty is now at peace and home in Heaven. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, friends, love, perseverance, tenacity and burning passion for life. She lived each day to th efullest, fought her battle with grace, beauty and a never ending amount of strength, hope and courage. Marty is loved by many, an inspiration to all and will be deeply missed.
