 - Obituary (
  Clarice M. Thomas, age 92, of Elburn, passed away at her home Saturday afternoon, March 23, 2002. She was born December 2, 1909 in Fulda, MN the daughter of Clarence and Gertrude (Stolp) Shults.
  Following the untimely death of her mother, Clarice, then nine years old, and her sister, came to Sugar Grove, IL to live with Everett and Myrtie Snow. Clarice attended local schools and following graduation, she met her husband to be at a community dance. Three years later, on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1931, she became Mrs. Francis H. Thomas at the Everett Snow farm on Harter Rd.
  Clarice and Frances farmed in the Big Rock and Kaneville area for many years until 1977 when they retired and moved to Elburn.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Thomas in 1994; one son, Everett Thomas in 2000; one granddaughter, Debra Lyn Thompson; her parents; four brothers; and six sisters.
  Friends may call from 4-8 pm at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn, Tuesday, March 26, 2002 and Wednesday morning at church from 9 am until time of service.
  A funeral to celebrate her life will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at 10 am at the Kaneville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Ric Magtanong will officiate and interment will follow at Kaneville Cemetery.
  Memorials in her name may be made to the Kaneville United Methodist Church or Vitas Hospice and mailed in care of P.O. Box 66, Elburn, IL 60119.
