  ALBION - Keith M. Scriber, 78, of 565 Moore St, died Friday in Orleans County
Infirmary following a long illness.
  He was a native of Oswego, a former resident of Brockport, and had lived in Albion for the past 12 years. He had been employed as an engineer for the Sealtest Co. in Rochester. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Brockport and the Shales Organ Society of Rochester.
  Mr. Scriber is survived by his wife, Claire; two sons, Lawrence (Lena) Scriber of Hilton, David (Rita) Scriber of Churcbville; one daughter, Mrs. Kob Roy (Gweneth) McLean of Holley; one brother, Olan Scriber of Clarkson; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
  Funeral services were held today at 2 p.m. at Merril lGrinnell Funeral Home, 12 Ingersoll St, with interment in Mount Albion Cemetery.

  Mrs. Edith Mahaffy, 83, 7472 Salina street, Pulaski, widow of Fred G. Mahaffy, died Mar. 9, 1973 in Faxton hospital, Utica.
  The funeral was held Monday, at the Foster-Hax funeral home, Pulaski, Rev. Edwin Potter, officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski cemetery.
  Mrs. Mahaffy is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Clark (Betty) Briggs, New Hartford and three grandchildren.
  Born July 31, 1889, in Albion, daughter of Daniel and Lena William Scriber, she attended local schools. Mr. Mahaffy was a self employed plumber. He died May 19, 1969.
  She was a member of the Park United Methodist church, American Legion Auxiliary, Order of Eastern Star and former director of the American Cancer Society for Oswego County.

  John P. Lewis, 60, retired New York Central Railroad employee, died at his Rider Street home here Wednesday after a long illness. Born Nov. 30, 1898, here, a son of the late Andrew and Mary Pickens Lewis, he was the husband of the former Miss Carrie Jacobson.
  Surviving besides his wife are two daughters Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Myers, Parish, and Mrs. Frank (Mary) Childs, Central Square; a son, Bruce, Parish; four grandsons ; three brothers, Albert Lewis, Sodus; Andrew and Clark Lewis, both of Parish; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Henderson, Mrs. Blanche DeGarmo and Mrs. Doris Speeding, all of Parish, and several nieces and nephews.
     Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Harter Funeral Home Parish. The Rev. Elmer Wagner of Liverpool officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Lawn cemetery.
Mr. Lewis was a former member of the Parish Fire Department and the Parish Grange No. 575; and a member of the Brotherhood of R. R. Union M. of W. He returned to his home from several weeks stay in Oswego Hospital. Bearers were Robert Jacobson, Cicero; Lynn Jacobson, Brewerton; Larry Hokanson of Fulton; Robert Simard of Mexico and Raymond! and Lewis Henderson of Parish.

  Deaf since birth Harry Flansburg, 62, of 35 Hubbard St., has been driving all sorts of vehicles for 33 years but has not had a single accident or mishap.
  He is married and has three daughters.
  Born in East Springfield he has been driving since 1922. He has driven in all states with all kinds of vheicles, For a time he had his own truck and was in the transportation business. Later he worked for Brockwas Motors in the test room.
  Chief of Police Michael Canestero says he is an excellent driver, better than many who are not handicapped by not being able to hear or speak.
  Over a year ago Flansburg cut his right wrist while working for the Tully Bakery. Now that his injury is healed he is interested in finding other work especially as a driver.

  Ruth Flansburg of Hyattsville, Md. became the bride of Elmer Ewan, also of Hyattsville, in a  ceremony held March 18 in Grace Episcopal Church, Silver Springs, Md.
  The Rev. Otto Berg, rector, officiated at the two o'clock ceremony.
   The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Flansburg 35 Hubbard St, Cortland. Her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Ewan of Hyattsville, Md.
   Given in marriage by her father, the .bride chose for her wedding an Empire gown of brocade with A-line skirt. The ibodice was designed with scoop 'neckline, elbow-length sleeves and a self-fold accented by seed pearls. A full-length sleeveless coat fell into a graceful aisle wide chapel train,
  Mrs. Ella Hunter of Sandy Creek, N.Y., served as matron of honor for her sister. Bridesmaids were Miss Nina Flansburg of Hyattsville, Md., Mrs. Judy O'Neill and Miss Jean
Woloban. They wore identical floor - length gowns in pastel crepe, with bowed Empire bodice and elbow-length sleeves and scoop neckline. A flowing panel fell the length of the crepe skirt.
  The flower girl, Miss Jane Hunter, niece of the bride, was attired in a long-sleeved floor-length gown of silk organza over taffeta with cage effect and a Watteau back topped by two small seif roses.
  Alexander Ewan served as his brother's best man and the ushers were Louis Allen, Barton French, Tom Januleweiz and Mike McCrory. Mike Turis served as ring bearer.
  For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Flansburg wore a jacket dress of light blue with gold. The bridegroom's mother wore a lace over crepe dress in blue.
  Following tbe wedding, a reception was held for 500 guests in the church hall. The couple
then left on a wedding trip to Nassau ion the Bahamas.
  For her soins-away outfit the bride  two-piece costume dress of aqua with pink polka dot lining in dress and jacket and matching polka dot scarf.
  The new Mrs. Ewan is a 1959 graduate of the Rome School for the Deaf and attended the Gallandent College for the Deaf in Washington, D C She is employed in the office of Group Hospitalization Inc. in Washington.
  Her husband is a 1961 graduate of Kendall School for the Deaf in Washington and is employed as a printer with the Washington Post.
  The couple will reside at 7333 New Hampshire Ave., Apt. 216, Hyattsville, Md.

  A native of Parish, Mr. Jacobson lived in the Cicero-Bridgeport area since 1933. He retired from the North Syracuse Central School District as head custodian at the Allen Road School and previously was employed 28 years with L.C. Smith Typewriter Co.
  Mr. Jacobson was a former board of education president for North Syracuse schools. He was a member of the North Syracuse, Collamer and Cicero senior citizens groups.
  Surviving are his wife, Evalyn; two sons, Robert of Kirkville and Lynn of Brewerton; a daughter, Nancy Elderbroom of Brewerton; a brother, Jay of Central Square; two sisters, Anna Flansburg of Pulaski and Carrie Lewis of Parish; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

  A native of Mexico, Mrs. Jacobson lived in the Cicero area since 1933. She taught in Mexico for several years and later served as librarian at the Roy C. Pickard Library, Cicero, from 1949 to 1965. Mrs. Jacobson attended Mexico High School and was a graduate of Pulaski Normal School.
  Mrs. Jacobson attended Bridgeport United Methodist Church and was a member of the Utopia Club. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader in Cicero for about 10 years.
  Surviving are two sons, Robert of Kirkville and Lynn of Brewerton; a daughter, Nancy Elderbroom of Brewerton; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

  Born in Parish, he lived many years in the Central Square area. He retired in 1982 after 39 years as head custodian at Central Square High School. He also worked at Crouse-Hinds and General Motors in Syracuse. He was an elder of the Parish-Hastings Presbyterian Church, a delegate and past master for the Central Square, Parish and Hastings Grange 583 and the Oswego County Pomona Grange. He was a member of the Hastings and Parish senior citizens groups. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. He was the son of George Jacobson and Katherine Hughes Jacobson.
  His first wife, Florence Wilkinson died in 1996.
  Survivors: His wife, the former Eleanor Davies Cusack; two daughters, Dawn Dennis of Penn Yan and Linda Jacobson of Utica; a son, Timothy of Niskayuna; three stepsons, George Cusack of Parish, Thomas of Houston, Texas, and Gordon Cusack of Parish; a sister, Anna Flansburg of Pulaski; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren.

  Little Falls — Funeral services for Harry G. Ruby, 63, a former Herkimer Evening Telegram employe, who died Sunday in Little Falls Hospital after a long illness, were held at 2:30 p. m. today from the Markwart funeral home, with the Rev. Howard Gilman of the Universalist Church officiating. Interment was in Church Street, cemetery.
  Mr. Ruby was born May 11, 1888, the son of Edgar A. and Alida Getman Ruby. He married Edna Day in Lowville on Dec. 30, 1911.
  After graduating from local schools he entered the printer’s trade, which he followed for 40 years. In his younger days, he was connected with the Journal & Courier and at one time was employed by the Evening Telegram. He later went into business with Lambert Will, becoming senior partner in the Ruby-Will Printing Co.
  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Loyal Order of Moose, Little Falls Maennerchor and the Universalist Church.
  Surviving are his wife, 256 Church St.; a daughter, Mrs. J. Frederick Dunckel, Ilion; two grandchildren, David Edgar Ruby, Dolgeville and Peter John Dunckel, Ilion; an aunt, Mrs. Mary Vincent, Little Falls. A son, Edgar, was killed during World War II.

  Lowville. March 14 - Mrs. Edna M Day Ruby former Lowville resident and sister of Mrs. Samuel Lewis, East State street, died Saturday in Menomomee

  She was born in Bellwood, town of Harrisburg, Sept. 21, 1891, a daughter of Duane L. and Mildred Smith Day. She attended Lowville Acadamy training class and taught in rural schools here.
  Following her marriage to Harry G. Ruby Dec 31, 1911, at the Methodist parsonage here the couple lived in Little Falls and Herkimer.
  Besides her sister she is survived by a daughter, Mrs J. Fred (Mildred) Dunckel, with whom she was residing, a brother. Leslie Day, Napa, Calif., three grandchildren, David Ruby, Rutland. Vt., Peter and Mary Dunckel, Menomomee Falls, Wis. A son. Edgar Ruby, was killed April 12, 1945 in Italy, during World War II.
  The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m., at the Marquart funeral home, Little Falls.

 - Obituary (Enterprise and News, St Johnsville, NY, April 23, 1970)
  Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. for Floyd G, Lenneker. 78, of 65 North Helmer Avenue, Dolgeville, from the Nielsen Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glenn H. Poppleton. of the United Methodist Church.
  Mr. Lenneker was born in Canajoharie on, March 25 1892. son of Charles and Rena Getman Lenneker. On October 14, 1942 he married Nina L. Bellinger, in Maryland.
  Survivors include his wife; one sister, Mrs. Alma Hoffman of Palatine Bridge, and several cousins.
  Interment was made in the Dolgeville Cemetery.

  Little Falls, Ocdt 26 - Mrs Johnn Kilmer and Mrs. William Adler delightfully entertained a number of their friends last evening in the former's home on Porteus street, in honor of Miss Rena Foster, whose marriage has been announced to Floyd Lenneker. About 16 were present to enjoy the event and all showering the bride-to-be with wishes of a long and happy wedded future and many gifts of household linens. The guests dressed Miss Foster in a veil and wedding gown and marched her up and down the streets in a mock procesion. At a late hour the guests departed voting the hostesses royal entertainers.

  Miss Rena Foster, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Foster, of No. 309 West Main street. Little Falls, was married to Floyd G. Lenneker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Lenneker, of Fort Plain, at the rectory of Emmanuel Episcopal church in that city, at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning by the Rev. C. E. S. Rasay. The couple are spending their honeymoon at the Switzer mansion in Salisbury, of which property the bride's father has recently become the caretaker. The bridegroom has been employed for some time past at the Stafford & Holt machine shop in Little Falls. The couple are popular and worthy young people.

A gift in linen was presented to Mrs. Lenneker. The prizes in bridge went to Miss Marguerita Hinchey and Miss Irma Cowen.

  Walter I. Loomis, 90, a retired farmer and former caretaker of the Saquoit Valley Cemetery, died Thursday in a local hospital.
  He was born in Litchfield and lived in the Saquoit area most of this life.
  His wife the former Blanche Mathews, died in 1966.
  He was a member of the Norwich Corners Presbyterian Church.
  He leaves a daughter, Francis Loomis, of Utica, and a son, Irving of Phoenix, Ariz.
  The funeral will be at 2 Monday from the J. Donald Smith Funeral Home, Saqupit. Burial will be in Saquoit Valley Cemetery.
