John "JP "Pat" Roebuck of Cohasset, formerly of Owatonna, died Sunday, April 11 at his home in Cohasset. He was 75.
John Roebuck was born Dec. 29, 1923, in Canby, the son of Raymond and Cecelia (Minnick) Roebuck.
He was raised in Owatonna and graduated from Owatonna High School in 1941. He then attended St. Cloud State University and then McPhail School of Music in Minneapolis. He earned his master's degree from Bemidji State University.
He married Florence M. Rypka on Aug. 22, 1945 in Owatonna.
Mr. Roebuck taught high school band in Lakefield, Spring Valley, Detroit Lakes and at Grand Rapids High School from 1957 until his retirement in 1983.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Florence, three daughters, Patricia (and Vern) Tabert of Parker, Colo., Catherine (and Ron) Fieldseth of Buffalo, and Nancy (and Bill) Braun of Oak Park Heights, one son, Michael (and Debbie) Roebuck of Lakeville; two sisters, Donna Hayes of Medford and Mary Jane Jacobson of Owatonna; seven grandchildren and two step grandchildren.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m Wednesday, April 14, at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Cohasset. The Rev. Bruce Engen will officiate. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Cohasset.
Friends may call one hour befor the service at the church.
Rowe Funeral Home of Grand Rapids is in charge of the arrangements.

Florence M. Roebuck, 77, Cohasset, died Monday, Dec. 1,2003, in Stillwater. Her positive attitude and outlook on life was never diminished by the fact that she lived with multiple sclerosis for 30 years.
She was born Nov. 7, 1926, to John and Anna (Learch) Rypka in Owatonna where she attended school graduating in 1942. She was united in marriage to John Patrick Roebuck on Aug. 22,1945, in Owatonna. She was a homemaker and sang for weddings and with the Showboat production. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia (Vern) Tabert, Parker, Colo., Catherine (Ron) Fieldseth, Buffalo, Nancy (Bill) Braun, Stillwater; one son, Michael (Debbie), Lakeville; one sister, Jean (Joe) Kvasnicka, Inglewood, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband Pat.
Service: Thursday, Dec. 4 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Radaich officiating. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until the service at the church.
Burial: Wildwood Cemetery, Cohasset.

Irene Janette Anderson, 99, of Arden Hills, Minn., died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, at Presbyterian Homes of Arden Hills.
A longtime Austin resident, Irene was born July 20, 1905, in Lansing Township to Daniel and Lettie (Dugaw) Dibble. She died at the Presbyterian Homes in Arden Hills after a long and happy life. She graduated from Austin High School in 1923 and immediately thereafter went to work in the office of Wright & Nelson; Nelson & Plunkett; Plunkett & Smith. Irene worked continuously for his firm for over 50 years. In 1986 she moved to the Twin Cities area but maintained many contacts with her good friends and relatives in Austin.
Irene married Francis Anderson on May 9, 1929. He was the owner of Anderson Radiator Service and passed away Dec. 18, 1964.
Irene is survived by son: Dale (Annie Glasgow) Anderson, Roseville, Minn.; grandsons: Lance (Tracy) Anderson, Stillwater, Minn.; Shane (Elizabeth) Anderson, Seattle, Wash.; Chad Anderson, New York City, N.Y.; great grandchildren: Britta, Ethan, Beckett, Elise and Colton; sister-in-law: Bessie Dibble Chrencik, Austin, Minn.; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Francis; sister, Esther (Dribble) Miller; and brothers Charles and Clinton Dibble.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dennis Tamke officiating. Visitation will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. A remembrance /luncheon will be served at the church following the burial at Oakwood Cemetery.

Vivian Alice Dibble was born on January 29, 1912 in Mower County, Minnesota to Burt Ellsworth and Alta Cora (Minto) Dibble. She had a younger brother, Arnold Dibble (1916-1981)
Vivian married William Eugene Powers (1909-1993) on 3/19/1931 in Swift Co., MN. Three sons were born to this union: Ronald, Eugene & David. (Vivian & William Powers were divorced)
Vivian married William Bacil Ormsby (1913-1992) in 1941. Vivian's 3 sons were adopted by William Ormsby.
Vivian died February 13, 1993 in Texas. She was interred at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in Texas with her husband William Ormsby.

Robert L. Dibble, 94 of Austin, MN died at Comforcare Good Samaritan Center on Saturday, July 2, 2011.
Robert Leon Dibble was born June 16, 1917 in Austin, MN, the son of Ralph and Hazel (Wyant) Dibble. At the age of two, he moved with his parents to a farm north of Austin. He attended Ramsey and Lansing schools and graduated from Austin High School in 1936. His marriage to Lois Rinner took place July 5, 1944 in Austin, MN.
Robert farmed with his dad and for a number of years did custom work of silo filling and corn picking for other farmers. He enjoyed traveling, playing cribbage and 500. He was a member of the Lansing United Methodist Church.
Robert is survived by his wife Lois Dibble, Austin, MN; son and daughter-in-law: Leon D. and Elaine Dibble, Owatonna, MN; two grandsons: Keith (Raquel) Dibble, Towner, ND and Timothy Dibble, Chicago, IL; three great grandchildren: Robert Dibble, Austin Dibble and Ashlyn Dibble.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, July 7th at the Lansing United Methodist Church with the Reverend Leland Bissinger officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and at the church on Thursday for one hour before the service.
Honorary casket bearers are Timothy Dibble and Keith Dibble.

Lois Myra Dibble 102 of Austin, Minnesota died Thursday December 31, 2015 at her home.
Lois M. Dibble was born November 9, 1913 in Austin the daughter of David and Margaret(Scholl) Rinner. At the age of two years she moved with her parents to an acreage two miles west of Austin. She attended Woodland Rural School through the eighth grade and graduated from Austin High School in 1931.
Lois was a receptionist in the office of Drs. Doyle and Lois Richardson for a number of years and also worked in the Austin office supply store before her marriage to Robert Dibble on July 5, 1944. She was a member of the Lansing Methodist church, the United Methodist Women's Society and was a member of the Lansing extension group. Lois was a homemaker and enjoyed her family, her vegetable and flower garden and preserving fruits and vegetables.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husand Robert and one sister Helen Garbisch.
Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Monday January 4, 2016 at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Tamke officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour before the service.

Evelyn Knudson, 97, of Pelican Rapids, died Monday, March 10, 2008, at Pelican Valley Nursing Home in Pelican Rapids.
Evelyn Beulah Riedberger was born Dec. 20, 1910, in rural Hawley, the daughter of Leonard and Laura Riedberger. She grew up in Hawley and graduated from Hawley High School in 1930.
On Oct. 1, 1939, she married Kermit Knudson at Hawley Lutheran Church. After their marriage, Kermit and Evelyn moved to Pelican Rapids where she worked at Carr and Hanson Department Store selling women's clothing.
Later she worked for Riverside Dress Shop in Pelican Rapids. On Oct. 29, 2005, Evelyn entered the Pelican Valley Nursing Home. Kermit died Feb. 26, 2006.
She was a member of the Ringsaker Lutheran Church and then Trinity Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kermit; a baby son, who died in 1941; and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the Church.

Kermit Clarence Knudson, 95, Pelican Rapids, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, in Lake Region Hospital, Fergus Falls, Minn.
Mr. Knudson was born April 11, 1910, in Pelican Rapids, where he graduated from high school in 1928. On Oct. 1, 1939, he married Evelyn Riedberger in Hawley, Minn. They lived in Pelican Rapids, where he worked for Frazee's Utility Feed Mill. From 1943 to 1945, he served in the U.S. Army. After his military discharge, he returned to Pelican Rapids. He continued to work for the feed mill until his retirement.
Visitation: Thursday from 4 to 6 in Larson Funeral Home, Pelican Rapids, and Friday from 10 to 11 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Pelican Rapids.

July 11, 1919-March 6, 2008Lifelong Hawley resident Grace Riedberger passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 9:30 p.m. in Detroit Lakes at the Emmanuel Community, surrounded by her loving family.
Grace Whaley was born to Ray and Etta (McDonald) Whaley on July 11, 1919 in Hawley. In 1938, she graduated from Hawley High School, where she participated in sports, drama and music. Her favorite memory of high school was playing Rosalie in the play "Polished Pebbles" as a senior.
On Jan. 8, 1939 Grace married her high school sweetheart, Forrest (Dit) Riedberger. She was employed by the Bankrupt Store in Hawley for several years. In 1961, Grace and Dit opened Riedy's Drive In, which they sold in 1978. Dit passed away after 65 years of marriage in July 2004.
Grace was known for her generous spirit, being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and cherished her family and friends. She was a member of Hawley Lutheran Church where she was active in the Altar Guild.
Grace leaves behind so many that loved her. She will be missed by her children, Pat (Mike ) Elton and Dick (Kathy) Riedberger. Her six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren have many fond memories of their Grandma Gracie.
Preceding Grace in death were her husband Dit; her parents, Ray and Etta Whaley; and two brothers, Bert and Clint Whaley.
Grace's family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff at the Emmanuel Community in Detroit Lakes for their loving care of Grace and Dit over the past four years.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the organization of your choice.
Visitation for Grace will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, March 10, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, at Wright Funeral Home, Hawley.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Hawley Lutheran Church in Hawley, with interment following at the Hawley Cemetery.

Viola "Chick" Riedberger was born May 27, 1919, in Hawley, to Leonard and Laura (Getman) Riedberger. She grew up there and graduated from Hawley High School. In 1937 she moved to Willmar, MN, and began working for AT&T. After a year, she moved to San Francisco, CA, and worked for AT&T.
Chick and Robert Steckroat were married Nov. 27, 1946, in San Francisco where they lived until 1952. Bob was in the Coast Guard. They were stationed in Hawaii from 1952-1955, in Detroit, MI, from 1955-1959, and in New Bedford, MA, in 1959. They lived in Fargo from 1959-1961. In 1961 they moved to San Pedro, CA. In 1964 they returned to Fargo and she returned to work for Bell Telephone as an operator. She retired from Bell Telephone in 1982. Bob passed away in 1988. She recently moved to Hawley..
Following her retirement in 1982, Viola enjoyed many activities including fishing with her nephews during the summer, playing cards with her friends at 601 Broadway, and playing bingo. Viola also enjoyed traveling with her family and her yearly trips to Las Vegas with her friends. Viola's greatest joy in life were her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon and Everett; and one sister, Lenore.
