Mr. Folts was the tax collector of the town of Jerusalem. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Folts, of Jerusalem; his widow, Marion Wettling Folts; three children, Marshall, Phyllis and Nancy, at home; two brothers, Warren and Allen Folts, of Jerusalem, and one sister, Mrs. Hugh Meldrum, of Syracuse. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock, Rev. Eberly, of Branchport, and Rev. L. S. Boyd, of Geneva, officiating. Burial in Lake View cemetery.

On Tuesday afternoon, August 12, 1919, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. P. Wettling, in Penn Yan, occurred the marriage of thoir daughter, Marion Irene, to Mr. Edwin Cole Folts. The ceremony was performed by Rev. L. S. Boyd, of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Lohengrin's wedding march was beautifully rendered by Misses Ida Wanoschek and Miss Margaret Botsford, on violins, as the wedding party assembled in the parlor. Margaret Andrews, a cousin of the bride, carried the wedding ring in a basket of flowers, preceding the bride and groom. The bride's gown was of white Georgette crepe and she carried a bouquet of bride's roses and sweet peas. Golden rod, golden glow and ferns were used in the house decorations. After a wedding supper they left for an automobile trip to the Adlrondacks.

Decorated with pink and white peonies and roses, the Bluff Point Methodist church was the setting for the pretty summer wedding of Miss Olive Minnie Coates, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Coates of Penn Yan, RD 5, and Rodney Keith Folts, son of Mr.. and Mrs. Keith Folts of Bluff Point, RD 1, at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon, June 24, 1950.
Unique feature of the wedding was the attendance at the ceremony of all the grandparents of both the bride and groom: of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Coates, Mr and Mrs. Harry Southall, of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Folts, Mr and Mrs. David Hopkins, all of Bluff Point.
The Rev. Earnest Butterfield, former pastor of the church, officiated at the double ring ceremony which was witnessed by more than 250 guests. Mrs. Sidney Short of Penn Yan played traditional wedding music and accompanied Miss Carol Geoghegan of Penn Yan. who sang "Because" and The Lord's Prayer."
The bride, escorted by her father, was attended by her sister, Mrs. Norman Finger of Penn Yan, RD 5, Mrs. Donald Nielsen, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Glenn Reiners of Penn Yan, RD 4, Judy Hopkins was flower girl and the rings were carried by Howard Turner Jr.
The bride was lovely in a gown of white brocaded taffeta fashoned with sweetheart neckline, long sleves, cathedral train and veil caught with a tiarra of seed pearls. she carried an arm bouquet of white roses centered with an orchid. The matron of honor was gowned in light blue taffeta colonial style, with arm bouquet of white snapdragons and carnations and halo of carnations in her hair. The maids of honor wore similar gowns of pink and yellow taffeta, one crried pink snapdragons and carnations with pink floweres in her hair, and th eother yellow snapdragons and carnations.
The children who served as flower girl and ring bearer were cousins of the bricde, the former dressed in a gown of light green carrying yellow carnations with yellow flowers in her hair, the latter wearing a white suit with the two rings on a white satin pillow.
The bride's mother chose light blue crepe with white accessories and corsage of yellow and white roses, the groom's mother wore a figured sheer with white assessories and coursage of yellow and pink roses.
The groom was attended by his brother-in-law, Robert Coates. Ushers were Donald Nielsen, brother-in-law of the groom, of Bluff Point, and Robert Parmelee of Penn Yan.
Following the church service, a reception was given in the church parlors. Here the buffet table was centered with a four-tierd wedding cake and decorated with bouquets of pink and white peonies and lighted candles. Miss Donna Nielsen friend of the bride, served the cake while several other young people of the church assisted.
After a short wedding trip the young couple will make their home on Bluff Point where the groom is associated with his father as a vineyardist and is lso employed by the GLF at Penn Yan. the bride is employed at Citizens bank in Penn Yan.
Pre-nuptial events honoring the bride included a personal shower given by Mrs. Glenn Reiners at her home; a variety shower given by Mrs. Donald Nielsen and Miss Shirley Williams at the Nielsen home, and a variety shower given by the WSCS of the Branchport church at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Folts.

Born and educated in PennYann, he moved to Syracuse and married Catherine Waterman, a resident of Skaneateles and the daughter of Belle H. Waterman. They lived in Howlett Hill then Horseheads, where he wa s the village clerk for many years. They retired
in Bradenton, Fla.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years; a son, Edwin of Bradenton; a daughter, Beth Welles also of Bradenton; and a daughter, Linda Wojack, of Rochester as well as several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Each week during the summer adds more noteworthy weddings to the long list of this season. One of interest in Syracuse, as well as in Skaneateles, is that if Miss Catherine Waterman, daughter of Mrs. Belle H. Waterman of that village and Allen Folts of this city, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman H. Folts of Penn Yan.
The ceremony was solemnized at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Skaneateles by Rev. Harold E. Steer. The bride's brother, Murray Waterman of New Tork City, gave his sister in marriage. The bride was gowned in white and wore a veil.
A reception in the garden of Mrs. Waterman's home in E. Elizabeth st. followed the ceremony. After a wedding trip, Mr. Folts and his bride will make their home in Milton av., Solvay. The bride's mother, who is well known in Syracuse, is a teacher in Skaneateles High School.

HERKIMER - Paul N. Smith, 76, formerly of Park Ave., and a resident of the Masonic Home since 1968, died Sunday at the home.
Mr. Smith was born in Herkimer. He married Grace Ketchum. She died many years ago. He was a member of the United Mehodist Church, of Herkimer and Herkimer Masonic Lodge. He was a buyer salesman for the Montgomery Ward Co., for many years.

The funeral will be at 11 Wednesday from the Tompkins Memorial Chapel. Masonic Home. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Herkimer.

Miss Lucille C. Ganter, daughter of Mrs. Emma L. Ganter of Evans Mills, and the late Harold Ganter, became the bride of Glenn E. Noyes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Noyes of 1519 E. Fayette st. at 2:30 p. m. Saturday, Aug. 20, in Pamelia Community church.
The Rev. Dr. Harold Niles, pastor of All Soul's Universalist church, Watertown, performed the double ring ceremony, assisted by the Rev. Lawrence Heatherington, pastor of Pamelia church. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, E. Lawrence Ganter.
Miss Joan E. Curtin of Massena. college classmate of the bride, was maid of honor and Douglas Wilson was best man. Neil D. Ganter, and Duane Noyes were ushers.
A reception took place at the home of the bride's mother before the couple left on a trip to Canada.
The bride was graduated from Watertown high school and Keuka college, receiving a BS degree from the School of Nursing. Since graduation she has been employed at Willard State hospital and Syracuse Psychopathic hospital where she recently resigned her position.
A graduate of Nottingham high school, Mr. Noyes is a war veteran. He attended the College of Applied Science at Syracuse university and operates a trucking business in Syracuse.

Howard E. Ganter, 67, Pamelia Four Corners, Evans Mills, R.D. 1, highway superintendent of the Town of Pamelia for 18 years, died at 1:40 p.m. Sunday in the House of the Good Samaritan, where he was admitted Aug. 12 and underwent surgery on Aug. 20.
The funeral will be Tuesday at. 2 p.m. at the Cleveland-McCallen Funeral Home with Rev. Weston A. Stevens, pastor of All Souls Universalist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Evans Mills Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 this evening.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Florence P. Lindsey Ganter; two daughters, Mrs. Alden (Norma) LaClair and Mrs. Gary (Nancy) Marshall, both of Pamelia Four Corners; a son, Frederic William, Willowbrook Drive; and 18 grandchildren.
A brother; Harold M., died Dec. 20, 1947.
Mr. Ganter was born in Watertown, June 9, 1902, a son of Rubert and Metta E. Miller Ganter. When he was five years old his family moved to Pamelia Center. He attended Pamelia Schools and was graduated from Watertown High School and in 1923 from Canton A.T.I. He operated the family farm after graduation.
On Aug. 22, 1931, he married Miss Florence Lindsey of Dexter, at the Star Lake summer home of the late Rev. Harry Westbrook Reed, then pastor of All Souls Church. They lived at the family homestead farm, which he operated until 1946.
He had served 18 years as highway superintendent, planning to retire at the end of this month. He was a past president of the Jefferson County Highway Superintendents Association.
In 1963, Mr. Ganter sold the homestead at Pamelia Center and moved to Pamelia Four Corners where he sold garden tractors and snowmobiles at Pamelia Sales and Service, which he owned and operated.
Mr. Ganter was a director of the former People's Bank of Evans Mills. He was a 43-year member of Pisgah Lodge 720, F. & A. M. of which he was a past master; a member and director of the Pamelia Volunteer Fire Department; a former member of Media Temple Shrine and Watertown Commandery 11, Knights Templar.

Raymond Meyers Rasbach, North Tonawanda, died yesterday, Sept. 17, 1947, following a heart attack at his home at 367 Tremont St.
Mr. Rasbach long a resident of Herkimer county moved to Tonawanda only a month ago following his retirement from his general mercantile grocery business in Middleville. He was a graduate of Albany Business College and later became a professor there. At one time he was freight accountant for several years.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Bessie Failing Rasbach, he leaves one daughter Marianna, a teacher at Farmingdale L.I., two sons, Ray, Tonawanda and Paul a student at RPI in Troy; one sister Mrs. Nellie Lounsbery, a stepsister Mrs. Clarence Eysaman and his step-mother, Mrs. Grace Rasbach, all of this village.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. tomorrow from the Hillard Funeral Home, 147 Delaware Ave., Tonawanda.

One of the prettiest home weddings in this vicinity in some time occured Wednesday evening at eh home of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Failing when the marriage of their daughter Bessie to Raymond M. Rasbach of Herkimer took place. The house was profusely decorated with palms, ferns, cedar, white lilacs and other cut flowers and presented a beautiful appearanre. About 6.30 the guests began to arrive and were received by Miss Ethel Failing, sister of the bride, and Miss Nettie Richards of Herkimer. The ushers were Messrs Elmer Failing, brother of the bride. Earl Smith, Lloyd Kast, Lyman Lasher and Everett Crist. The ceremony was performed under an arch of white lilacs with cedar as a background and in the center of which was suspended a white bell with a smaller bell on either side. The ring ceremony was used according to the ritual of the First Methodist Episcopal Chhrch. Rev. S. D. Robinson of Herkimer officiated. Promptly at 8 o'clock Miss Vera M. Rasbach. sister of the groom began to play the Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin and the bridal party descended the stairway. The first to descend were the Misss Hazel and Ruth Crill, nieces of the groom, who acted as flower girls and strewed roses in the path of the bride. They were followed bv the bride and groom and the maid, Miss Edna Finch, of St. Johnsville. and A. U. Failing, brother of the bride, who acted as best man. The bridal party passed into the parlor in the northwest corner of the house where underneath an arch of whit lilacs the ceremony was performed in the presence of about seventy-five friends and relatives of the happy
couple. The bride wore a dress of white silk mull, trimmed with Irish point lace and a bridal veil surmounted with a wreath of lillies of the valley. She carried a bouquet of white brides roses. The maid was gowned in a dress of white dotted mull and carried white carnations. The groom's gift to the bride was a beautiful gold bracelet set with pearls and to his best man a solid gold stick pin made in the shape of a wish bone and set with pearls. The bride presented the maid with a handsome brooch pin. The bride is a most charming young lady who has a host of friends who wish her much happiness upon the sea of matrimony. The groom is a popular young man and a graduate of the Herkimer High School, 1902. and also of the Albany Business College. He now holds a lucrative position with the New York Central Railroad at the Herkimer freight house. The presents included many beautiful pieces of furniture, money, silverware, cut glass, china and bric-a-brac. After the ceremony a beautiful wedding supper was served after which the happy couple left in an automobile amid a shower of rice to meet the train for an extended trip including New York, Albany, and the Jamestown Exposition. Upon their return they will reside at 447 N. Prospect street. Herkimer and will be at home to their friends after July 15th.

Charles Monroe Waterbury, 81, of 205 N. Washington St. who was employed by Remington Rand, Ilion, for 33 years before retiring in 1958, died this morning in Herkimer Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born April 29, 1883, in Herkimer, a son of Joseph F. and Violet Wormuth Waterbury, he married Jessie Haile in 1902 in Fonda. She died Jan. 6, 1951. He was a member of the Remington Rand 25-Year Club and First Methodist Church.
Surviving are four brothers, Willard F., and Elwood, both of Herkimer; Gordon, Mohawk, and Seaton, Fonda; a sister, Mrs. John (Elizabeth) Hilts, Herkimer; three grandchildren, Linda Pratt, Wassica; William Pratt, with the Navy in Pacific area; James Pratt, Herkimer.
Rev. Fred G. Cotnam, Methodist pastor, will conduct services 1:30 p.m. Friday from the Fenner Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling hours are 7 to 9 tonight, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow.

Mrs. Jessie G. Waterbury, 67, wife of Monroe Waterbury, 238 1/2 Graham St., died today in Herkimer Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan 18, 1883 in Newville, a daughter of Rufus and Clara Hilts Haile. Mrs. Waterbury came to this village when a young girl and attended Herkimer schools. Her marriage to Mr. Waterbury took place in 1902 in Fonda. she was a member of Palm Branch Rebekah Lodge and the First Methodist Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Mrs. William Pratt, this village, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday from the Fenner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Fred G. Cotnam, Methodist minister, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

MOHAWK - Gordon Waterbury, 80, of 27 Church St., passed away Friday evening at Mohawk Valley General Hospital, Ilion.
He was born on September 16, 1900 in Herkimer, N.Y., the son of Frank and Florellia Young Waterbury and attended Herkimer scbooll. He has been a resident of Mohawk since 1925. He mirried the former Jennie Mower on June 25, 1921 in the First Baptist Church in Herkimer. She passed away May 28, 1967. Mr. Waterbury owned and operated a barber shop in Ilion for 50 years, retiring in 1975. His hobby was landscape painting and had his work on display at Weller Library, Mohawk in 1976 during the bicentennial celebration. He was a member of the Mohawk United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs Edwin (Esther) Harris of Ilion; a son, Leon of Ilion; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Hilts of Herkimer; a brother, Elwood of Herkimer; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 28 at 11 a.m. from the Murphy Funeral Home with the Rev. Wiliam A. Wilbur officiating. Burial will in Mt. View Memorial Gardens, Little Falls. Friends are invited to call today from 2-4 and 7-9 at the funeral home.

HERKIMER- Willard F. Waterbury, 70, of 534 Lake St died Saturday in the Herkimer Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Herkimer, where be married Edith Baulig in 1924. Mrs. Waterbury died in 1964.
Mr. Waterbury was employed for 25 years by the Remington Arms, Corp,, Ilion, before his retirement in 1966.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Herkimer. He served in the National Guard and was also a member of the Remington Arms 25-Year Club.
Mr. Waterbury leaves three sons, Carl W. and Ernest, both of Herkimer, and Lee, of Ilion, two daughters, Mrs. Joan Bennett and Mrs. Joyce Reardon, both of Herkimer, three brothers, Elwood of Herkimer, Gordon of Mohawk, Seaton of Amsterdam and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Hilts of Herkimer.
The funeral will be at 10 tomorrow from the Fenner Funeral Home, Herkimer. Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Little Falls.

Herkimer — Mrs. Edith B. Waterbury, 58, 534 Lake St., was pronounced dead yesterday by Dr. Arthur Mulligan after she suffered a heart attack while shopping in Munger - Genung's Department Store.
Police and firemen answered an emergency call shortly after 9 and tried unsuccessfully to revive her with a recuscaitor.
Mrs. Waterbury was born in Herkimer, daughter of Anton and Henrietta Roebuck Baulig. She was married to Willard F. Waterbury in 1924.
She once was employed in the service department of Munger's. For five years she was an assembler for the Herkimer Tool and Model Works. She reitred in 1960. She was a member of the Maccabees.
Besides her husband, she leaves three sons, Carl, Lee and Ernest, all of Herkimer, two daughters, Mrs. James (Joan) Bennett and Mrs. Douglas (Joyce) Reardon, both of Herkimer, and a brother, Herman Baulig, Mohawk.
The funeral will be at 2 tomorrow from the Fenner Funeral Home with rhe Rev. Fred G. Cotman, pastor of the First Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Town of Little Falls.
