  SUGAR GROVE — Funeral services for Elmer Loomis, 72, found dead on a lonely country road near here Tuesday morning, will be held at 2 P.M. Friday from the Schoonover Funeral Home.
  Mr. Loomis. who had'been in ill health, was the object of a widespread search since Monday after his car was found abandoned.
  Coroner Ed C Lowery issued a certificate saying that Mr. Loomis died from an overdose of barbituates.
  Besides his wife and six children, he is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Grace Hodges, Sugar Grove; a brother, Samuel Loomis, Warren and several grandchildren.
  The Rev. Fisher, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, will officiate att he funeral services. Burial will be in Wesleyan Cemetery here.

  Olive or Maude as she apparently wished to be known by was one of thirteen children: Herbert Rex, Linwood Aaron, Onna Gail, Hazel Aleen, Mattie S., William Way, Olga Jane, Daisy Floy, Margie A., Lenore E.,Elmer Gilbert, and Herbert Neil, born to Aaron Dulaney and Lula Delia Gage Trask.
  Aaron was the son of Augustus Merrils and Adaline Way Trask. Lula was the daughter of Gilbert and Olive S. Devereaux Gage.
  20 Jun 1907 at Sugar Grove Maude married, Elmer Albert Loomis, son of Albert Thomas and Jennie Gourley Loomis.
Their marriage was blessed with children: Beulah Florence,Lyle Leroy, Lua Jeannette, Ralph E., Gerald H., Everett and Kenneth Loomis.
   Maude was, a professional mother and homemaker to a farm family.

Warren officiated. The bride wore a blue ensemble with a corsage of roses and sweet peas. The bridesmaid, Miss Hazel Benson wore a brown ensemble with a corsage of rosebuds. The best man was William Benson. Mr. and Mrs. Loomis left on an eastern motor trip.

The ceremony took place in the Epworth Methodist parsonage at 7 P. M., Friday, July 28, performed by Rev. M. I. Harding.
  The bride wore a street length dress of green and white with a corsage of pink roses and baby's breath. Her sister-in-law and only attendant, Mrs. Lyle Loomis, wore a red dress and corsage of yellow roses and baby's breath. Lyle Loomis was his brother's best man.
 A reception followed at the home of the bride's parents, with the following as guests: Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Loomis, Kenneth Loomis, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Loomis, Mr. and Mrs. James Knupp. Mrs. Stephen Simones, Miss Geneva Knupp and Russell Knupp.
  After a short wedding trip, Mrs. Loomis is remaining at home and Pvt. Loomis has reported to Fort Meade, Md., for further orders

  JAMESTOWN, March 30--James H. Hodges, 43, farmer, living near Watts Flats, west of this city, was burned to death early yesterday on his farm, when fire destroyed the sugar house in the sugar bush. He left home shortly after midnight to attend to the fires and run off maple syrup. Later neighbors saw a glare of fire, but did not consider it anything of importance. A hired man at 6 o'clock in the morning went to the sugar bush and discovered the man's charred body in the ruins of the sugar house. How the fire started is not known Hodges is survived by his wife and five children.

  Suzanne Marie Onink, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Onink of Sugar Grove, and Walter Leroy Hodges, son of Mrs. Grace Hodges of Sugar Grove, were united in marriage at the Methodist Church at 8 P.M. Nov. 16 in the presence of 50 guests.
  Rev. David Vennberg, pastor of the Sugar Grove Mission Covenant Church, performed the ceremony before the altar decorated with baskets of white gladioli, pompons and palms and candelabra. Miss Ruth Ann Scott was organist, with the soloist Sylvia Mesler.
  The bride was attended by Miss Janet Jordan of Lottsville, wearing a gray knitted boucle dress with white angora trim and a white hat.
  The bride, given in marriage by her father, was gowned in a brocaded taffeta, dusty rose and white dress fashioned with scoop neckline, elbow length sleeves and full skirt. She wore a white velvet hat with white sequins and veil. A rhinestone necklace and earrings completed her costume. Her flowers were pink rose buds and white carnation tufts.
  Groomsmen were Jerry Frank, best man, and Arvid Carlson, usher.
  The bride's mother wore blue brocaded taffeta with white accessories and Mrs. Hodges, a navy blue flowered dress with navy accessories both with corsages of yellow roses.
  A reception followed the ceremony at the Onink home. The table was centered with white mums and a three tiered wedding cake. Master and mistress of ceremonies were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fournier. Mrs. Donald Barrett, was chief aide, with Mrs. Gerald Milter serving the cake and Mrs. A. A. Grant, pouring. Other aides were Miss Sandra Synder, Jamestown, Miss Judy Olson, Falconer and Miss Sylvia Mesler, Chandlers Valley. The bride's brother, Jeffrey, had charge of the guest book.
  The bride favored her attendant with strands of pearls. The best man was favored with gold cuff links and tie clasp, and the usher with a leather wallet.
  The bride was graduated with the 1956 class of Northern Area High School and is employed on the office force at Arnot Division of Aetna Steel Corporation. He attended Northern Area High School, served two years in, the U.S. Navy, and is employed by the Art Metal Corporation.
  Following a weekend wedding trip, the couple will reside in Sugar Grove. Out of town wedding guests were Mr. and Mrs. Osmond Howard, Frewsburg, Mrs. Owen Snyder and daughters, Brenda and Sandra, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Taylor, Jamestown, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Carlson, Gerry, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Garvey.   A Sugar Grove native, she was born July 7, 1908, the daughter of Frank and Mary Loomis Dalrymple. She had been employed by the Sugar Grove Post Office for many years. She was a member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, the Sugar Grove Reading Club, a former member of the Rebecca's in Sugar Grove. She was a talented seamstress. She is survived by her husband, Warren Abbott; a daughter, Barbara Stoddard of Sugar Grove; a son, Ronald Sherrard of Warren; 13 grandchildren: Roger and Randy Perkins, Jody Cusimano, Lisa Smith, Gary and Steven Stoddard, Lora Pitcairn, Sheri Kowalski, Dawn Cataldo, and James, John, Michael and Robert Sherrard; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Sherrard; a daughter, Shirley Perkins; a son, Donald Sherrard; and two brothers: Lawrence and William Dalrymple.

   SUGAR GROVE — Miss Mildred Dalrymple only daughter of Mrs. Mary Dalrymple and Clarence Sherrard, only son of Mr. and Mrs Hugh Sherrard, were married  March 25, at the methodist parsonage at Knox, Pa., by Rev. C. W. Mcaskey, former pastor of Sugar Grove. Following the ceremony they proceeded to Pittsburgh where they spent several days as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Finlan and Mr. K. Sherrard. Tlhey were also guests of Mrs. Grace Dalton Isselt at Carnegie, Pa.
  Both young people are very well known here, having lived here all of their lives. The bride is a graduate of the Sugar High school class of 1927. She then was a student of Jamestown Business College and for the past three years she has been a member of the force at work at the New Process store in Warren, Pa. The groom has held a responsible position in Jamestown for a number of years.
