  Charlotte Mae Johnson went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, November 17, 2005.
  Charlotte was born in Jamestown, ND, on September 24, 1938, to Bertis and Eva Johnson. She grew up in North Dakota and Minnesota. She attended grade school in Jamestown and Valley City, ND, and Moorhead, MN. Charlotte was raised by her sister and brother-in-law, Viola and Gustave Maas of Moorhead. She graduated from Moorhead High School, and then attended Trinity College of the Evangelical Free Church of America, in Chicago, IL, and Moorhead State College.
  Charlotte served as a missionary in Venezuela for 23 years. Upon returning to the states she was a special education teacher in Brownsville, TX. She also worked for the Overseas Missions Dept. through the Northern Plains District.
  Charlotte moved to the Fargo-Moorhead area in May of this year, leaving behind many dear friends in Brownsville. She lived with her nephew, Ray, and his family for a few months, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. She spent her last months at Elim Care Center in Fargo from where she went to be with her heavenly father.
  Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law. She is survived by a niece, Hazel (Larry) Grimley, Moorhead; two nephews, Grant (Marsha) Maas, Charlotte, NC, and Ray (Debbie) Maas, Moorhead; 4 great-nieces: Michelle Curtis, Tawnia Donahue, Carrie Perry, and Elizabeth (Betsy) Maas; 3 great-nephews: Sean Donahue, Darin Maas, and Nathan Maas; a great-great-niece, Madalynne Maas; and 2 great-great-nephews.

  Joseph B. Wilcox, 65, of 369 S Main St., retired former salesman for McKallor Drug Co., died suddenly early today(Nov. 12, 1964) at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Stanley Peterson, 824 Foote Ave.
   Before his retirement in 1961, Mr. Wilcox had been employed by the McKallor concern for 10 years, prior to which he had worked 30 years for the former Tinkham Brothers Co.
  Mr. Wilcox was born in Thornton, England, Dec. 9, 1898, the son of Fred and Margaret Stansfield Wilcox.
  He was a member of Pilgrim Memorial Congregational Church and the United Commercial Travelers.
  Surviving are his widow, the former Muriel Merchant; three daughters, Mrs. Peterson, Mrs. William Davies and Mrs. Richard Paulus, all of Jamestown; seven grandchildren; his father, Fred Wilcox, West Point, Miss.; four brothers, Frank, William and Charles Wilcox, all of West Point; and Ernest Wilcox, Jamestown; and one niece and one nephew.
  Funeral services will be at the Henderson-Lincoln Funeral Home at a time to be announced.

  Milton Stahl. 618 West Seventh street, died at Jamestown General Hospital Friday at 5:35 p. m. aged 36 years. 8 months and 10 days. He was born in Lewlsburg, Pa. February 26, 1889, and had resided in Jamestown for the past fourteen years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence E. Stahl: two sons, Everett and Donald, both at home, all of Jamestown; five sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Jennette and Mrs. Jeannette Palmer, both of Philadelphia; Mrs, Mary Miller and Mrs. Hannah Temple, both of Chicago; and Mrs. Alice Blackburn of Lewisburg: one brother, George Stahl, of Lasaelle; two half-brothers, Warren S. Gibhoney of Mt. Carmell, Pa.; and Thomas Glbhoney of Lewlsburg: two half sisters, Mrs. Hazel Parks of Newberry, Pa.: and Mrs. Florence Thompson of Rochester. The funeral will he held from the Henderson & Lincoln funeral home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

  The funeral of Milton H. Stahl was held from the Henderson & Lincoln funeral home Monday afternoon. Rev. Dr. Amos Maywood, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church, conducted the services. The bearers were Merle Garfield. George Garfield, Morris Garfield, Glenn Garfield, George Stahl and Milton Berger. The interment was in Lakeview cemetery. Those from out of the city were Mrs. Hannah Temples of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. George Stahl of Lesalle .

  Merle W. Garfield, 72, of 35 Myrtle St., died early today (May 18, 1963) at the U.S. Veterans Hospital, Buffalo. He was a retired dry cleaner and had been employed by Anderson Cleaners for more than 15 years. He previously had served as a custodian in the Jamestown school system.
  He was born in Busu July 21, 1892, the son of Frank and Dora Stevens Garfield. He had lived in Jamestown most of his life. He was a veteran of World War I, serving as a sergent in the Army Medical Corps.
  He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Florence Hendrickson Garfield, two daughters. Mrs. B. Robert Mason and Mrs. Westley Peterson; three grandsons, Barry Mason, Frederick Peterson, and Kurt Peterson; Three brothers, Glenn Garfield, Morris Garfield, and George Garfield, all of Jamestown; one sister, Mrs. William R. Cooke, Kenmore; and several nieces and nephews.
  Funeral services will be held at the Henderson-Lincoln Funeral Home, the Rev. Ernest Anderson of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.

  Mrs. Dorothy P. Garfield, 61, of 45 Wicks Ave., W.E., wife of Glenn Garfield, died at 9:45 p.m. Friday (April 16, 1965) in Jamestown General Hospital.
  She was born June 5, 1903, in Jamestown, the daughter of James and Nina Lee Leid and had resided in the area all her life. She attended the Bethany Church of God.
  Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, DeForest Garfield, serving with the U.S. Air Force in Viet Nam; and Donald Garfield. West Ellicott; one daughter. Miss Dorothy N. Garfield, Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, James and Harry Leid, both of California; one sister, Mrs. Elmer Lee, Jamestown; and several nieces and nephews.
  Funeral arrangements will be announced later by the Powers Funeral Home.

  Dorothy M. Garfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Garfield, 45 Wicks Avenue, is home for a two week leave after
completing nine weeks of indoctrination training in the U. S. Navy. Miss Garfield joined the Waves on April 4. At the end of her leave she will report to the U.S. Navy Training Command at Great Lakes, Ill. for 16 weeks training at Hospital Corps School. From there she will be assigned to duty in a Naval hospital of her choice.
  Prior to entering the Navy Miss Garfield was active in the Weakland Chapel where she was president of the Senior Youth Fellowship society. She is a graduate of the Southwestern Central School, Class of 1959.
