Irving J. Holstein, 63, of 1103 Taylor Ave., an employee of General Cable in Rome, died yesterday in St. Elizabeth Hospital.
He was born and educated in Utica. He enlisted in the Navy in 1917 and served during World War I. He married Mary Jones, in Utica, in 1923. After discharge from the Navy he was a elder for Powell Muffler Co., Uitca. He worked for General Cable until his retirement three years ago. He was a member of Westminster Predbyterian Church.
He leaves a daughter, Mrs. James (Dorothy) Kissinger, Utica; a son Irving J. Jr., who is with the Navy in Adak, Alaska, and a brother, Clarence, Utica.
The funeral will be at 11 tuesday from the Gordon-Fridel Funeral Home, the Rev. P. Arthur Brindisi, pastor of the Westminster Presbyterina Church, officiating.

Raymond L Lux. 79, of The Lutheran Home, Clinton, NY., formerly of Utica, died Wednesday, November 9. 1977 in St Elizabeth Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born July 5, 1898 in Utica, N.Y., son of Daniel and Josephine Muller Lux and was educated in Utica schools. He married Florence E. Hubbard on October 24, 1947 in Utica. Mrs. Lux died January 14, 1973. Mr. Lux was last employed as a meat cutter for the Hotel Utica for 10 years. Previously he was a self employed mason. Mr. Lux was a member of the Teamster's Union.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bernard R. (Jean) Smith of Ilion and Mrs. Jack S (Mary Rae) Mills of Rochester, N. Y.; three grandaughters, four grandsons, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be Friday morning at 11 o'clock from the Ortner Funeral Home, 130 Eabgle Street, with the Rev. Norman J. Reid, Director of the Lutheran Home, Clinton, officiating. Cremation will be in Waterville.

Given in marriage by her uncle, Fred Jones, the bride wore a chantilly lace floor length gown, styled with a Sabrina neckline, short sleves and a bouffant skirt trimmed with a deep pleated flounce hemline. Her imported illusion veil was caught ro a cap of pearls and iridescent sequine. The bride carried a cascade bouquet of stephanosis and feathered carnations, cnetered with white orchids.
Mrs. Robert B. Edwards attended as the matron of honor. She wore a shell pink nylon tullie ballerina length goen, styled with a torso bodice, a square neckline, short sleves and a bouffant skirt trimmed with a bow in back. she wore a small satin hat with a face veil, and carried a cascade of baby pink tea roses and blue feathered carnations.
Miss Jean,Lux itrxtd as the brldemaid. She wore a and hat identical to the attendants. and carried a similar bouquet.
A. Robert Mills, Rochester, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. The ushers were Terrence B. Buutterworth, Whitesboro, George Sellers and Thomas Moran, both of Utica.
An afternoon reception was held at Parkway Gardens.after which the couple left on a trip to Canada and Niagara Falls. After Aug. 6 the couple will reside at 129 (?) Bellevue Ave. Syracuse.
The bride-is employed in the accounting division of the New York Telephone Co. Mr. Mills was graduated from Mohawk Valley Technical Institute. and is presently in the engineering department at Crouse Hinds, Syracuse.

Raymond D. Jones, 60, of 74 Adrean Terr. West, a retired farmer, died May 27 in St. Elizabeth Hospital.
He was born in Brookfield, attended its schools and live in the Brookfield-Edmeston area most of his life. He moved to Utica last year. He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses. He married Delores Felski in Oneida.
Besides his wife he leaves 10 daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Lathrop, Oriskany Falls; Mrs Evelyn Wright, Encinitas, Calif.; the Misses Sharon, Cheryl, Nellie, Deborah, Linda, Janet, Laurie and Tracy Jones, all at home, and five sons, Gerlad, Gary, Raymond Jr. David and Leonard Jones, all of Utica.
The funeral will be at 10 tomorrow from the Surridge & Roberts Memorial Home. Burial will be in Edmeston Cemetery.

Besides her father of llion and her husband, she is survived bv nine sons: Gerald Jones of Clark Mills, Gary Felski of Vernon, Raymond, David, Leorard, Robert, Sean, Keith, and Kevin all at home: ten daughters; Mrs. Venon (Lorraine) Brown of Lexington, Neb.; Mrs. Evelyn Wright, of Palm Springs, Cal,; Mrs James (Sharon) Kilts of Utica; Mrs. Robert (Cheryl) Santomassino of Utica, Nellie Jones of Utica, Mrs George (Debbie) Plak of Clark Mills. Linda Jones, Utica; Janet Jones, Rome; Mrs. Ramon (Laurie) Colon, Utica. and Tracy Jones of Utica. She is predeceased by two daughters: Irene and Ramona Jones. She is also survived bv three brothers; Joseph Felski of Chadwicks, Robert Felski of N. Y. Mills, and Donald Felski of Oriskany Falls. Additional survivors include 21 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning at 9:00 from the Kobirlski Funeral Home, 284 Main St. N.Y. Mills and at 9:30 from St. Mary's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Burial will be in Oriskany Falls, N.Y.

Following a reception for 50 guests at the home of the brtde.s parents, the couple left on a wedding trip to New York and Rockville, L. I.

The bride is a member of the faculty of the Margaretville Central School, is a graduate of Oneonta State Teachers' College and Mohawk Central High School. The bridegroom is a graduate of Ilion High School and is in business with his father on the Burke's farm in Columbia Center.

Mrs. Jane Nevil Tennant, 88, of Cooperstown, died Monday afternoon, April 28, 2003, at The Meadows. She was born on March 5, 1915, in Montoursville, Pa., a daughter of Harry J. and Gladys K. (Romig) Nevil.
On Sept. 11, 1939, she married Robert Clermonte Tennant in the First Presbyterian Church of Cooperstown. Mr. Tennant died on Dec. 15, 1972. Raised in Cooperstown, Jane graduated from Cooperstown High School with the Class of 1933, and then attended the Knox School for Girls in Cooperstown, graduating from there in 1935. She was first employed as a secretary for the Cooperstown school system and then at the First National Bank of Cooperstown.
Following her marriage in 1939, she devoted her life to raising her family and caring for their home. In later years, after her husband's death, she was employed at Lippitt Jewelry and Gifts in Cooperstown. A charter member of the Sgt. Walter P. Eggleston Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7128 Women's Auxiliary in Cooperstown, she was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cooperstown and the Cooperstown Women's Club.
Jane is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Catharine ("Katie") Sanford and her husband, David A. Sanford, of Cooperstown, and Mrs. Susan Garvin and her husband, James W. Garvin Jr., of Fly Creek; two granddaughters, Susan S. Novak of Worcester, Mass., and Megan A. Sanford of Brooklyn; one great-granddaughter, Alexis Novak; one brother, Harry J. Nevil Jr. of Fly Creek; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Ann Nevil of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Mrs. Catharine N. Lippitt, and her brother, Jack R. Nevil.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2003, at the Connell, Dow & Deysenroth Funeral Home in Cooperstown, with Mr. Richard Sliter, pastor of the Aldrich Baptist Church in North Franklin, officiating. Burial in Lakewood Cemetery in Cooperstown will be private and at the convenience of the family.

CENTRAL SQUARE - William S. Theall, 79, of Constantia, chairman of the Oswego County Civil Service Commission and former supervisor, died Friday night at Mt. Morris after a long illness.
Mr. Theall was a native of Durhamville and had lived in Constantia 50 years. He served eight years as supervisor of the Town of Constantia and was a 50-year member and past mast.er of Scriba Lodge, F&AM. He was a member of Constantia Congregational church and served as chairman of the Civil Service Commission many ycars.

WALTER HESS of 222 DeSilvia St.. Minoa, a life resident of the area and an employe of the Onondaga Pottery Co., died yesterday in St. Josephs Hospital after a short illness. He was a member of the Minoa Methodist Church.
Survived by his wife, Mrs. Grace P Hess: two sons. Donald of Hamburg and Raymond of Minoa; four daughters. Mrs. Robert Bedworth of Camilus; Mrs. William Cummings, of Fayetteville, Mrs Edwin McLaugnlin and Mrs. Clarence Kimber of Syracuse; a brother, Donald of East Syracuse, a sister, Mrs. Henry Johnson of Nedrow and 13 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at teh Russell H. Schepp Funeral Home, Minoa, with the Rev. Herbert Loomis officiating. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, North Manlius.

Miss Elizabeth Hobb of Ratenour Bridge was maid of honor and Milton Oliver of East Syracuse was best man.
The bride's gown was fashioned of blue crepe with white accessories and she wore a corsage of pink and white roses.
The maid of honor was dressed in pink crepe with pink accessories and also had a corsage of pink and white roses.
Following the ceremony, the bridal couple enjoyed a wedding supper.
The young couple will be at home to friends at 17 Frederick street, East Syracuse
