 - Obituary (The Sheboygan Press, Wisconsin, Saturday, June 22, 1940)
  Funeral services for James Edick, conservation warden who died yesterday, will be held at 9 a.m., Monday at the Robert H. Kroosd Funeral home, with the Rev. W. Clyde Wilson, pastor of the First Presbyterian church officiating.
  The body will then be taken to the Masonic Temple at Omro, Wis. where it may be viewed until 2 p.m. At that time, interment, with Masonic services at the grave, will be made in the Omro cemetery.
  Mr. Edick was born in Lily, Wis., Jan. 8, 1885. He attended public school, ,high school and normal school in Kansas, and then returned to Oshkosh. He was employed there by the Payne Lumber company as a cruiser for 15 years, and then for the Lang;ade Lumber company for seven years. He then undertook similar duties with the Underwwo Vineer company of Wauysau, working in Michigan and Canada until 1927.
  In that year he was employed by the Wisconsin Conservation commission as a warden. He was stationed at Leona and Crandon for three years, and in 1930 was transferred to Sheboygan.
  On Aug. 17, 1911, he was married to Blanche Rhodes, of Omro, Wis., who with a daughter, Lola and four brothers, George L., of Washington D. C., William J., of Los Angeles, Edward E., and John E., of Escanaba, Mich., survive him. He was a member of the Maconic lodge and E. R. A. of Omro, the the First Presbyterian church of Sheboygan.

  Services for George L. Edick, 100 Sionsville, formerly of Danville, will be Tuesday, Oct. 15, ar 2 p.m. in Weaver Funeral Home, Canville, with burial in Danville South Cemetery.
  Born at Lily, Wi, Oct. 27, 1890, he was the son of David and Mary Tourtillotte Edick. He died Sunday, Oct. 13, in English Nursing Home, Lebanon.
  Mr. Edick had been an architecht for the U.S. Department of Agriculture for 20 years and was a 50-year member of Danville Masonic Lodge, He was the widower of Mable Kuttz and Lucille Turley.
  Surviving are Mildred Jean Franck, Aiken, SC; brother John Edick, Escanaba, Mi; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

  Frank H. Soble, 83, a former resident and native of Parish, died Wednesday at his home, State Road, R. D. 2, Skaneateles. He was a retired farmer.
  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ellen Hines Soble; three sons, Leon of Jordan, Floyd and Orval Soble of Skaneateles, a brother Richard Soble of Parish; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
  Funeral services were held Saturday at the Bernie J. O'Neil and Son funeral home, Skaneateles. Burial was in Pleasant Lawn cemetery, Parish.

 - 55th Anniversary (Oswego Palladium, NY, August, 17, 1943)
  SYRACUSE - A picnic at Willow Bay yesterday afternoon was the first celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sobles' 55th wedding anniversary, which wil be Aug. 27. They celebrated early because their grandchildren in service, T.Sgt, Floyd Parker and WAC Pfc. Vernon Parker, will return to duty before the day for the celebration. Mrs. Parker is the Sobles' grandaughter.
  Mr. and Mrs. Sobles were married Aug. 27, 1890, in Dugway, by Elder Horace Snow. they lived in Parish, Oswego county, for may years, where Mr. Sobles engaged in farming. Nine years ago the moved to Skaneateles.
  They have three sons. Leon D. Sobles of Jordan, Floyd R. and Orvill M. Sobles of Syracuse, 12 grandchildrenb and six greatgrandchildren.

Orville E Fox

 - Notes - Find A Grave)
  Orville, age 73 died at the home of his sister, Mrs Ada Stewart in Wolcott, N.Y. on May 18th. Mr Fox had been in poor health for more than a year. Early last Fall, he went to live with his sister, but until that time he had mde his home in Parish. His only survivors were his sister and a step-son George Cusack of Parish. Services were at the Mills & Petrie Chapel followed by interment in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery.

 - Newspaper Article (Find A Grave / June 17 1954 Sandy Creek News)
  Clarence Tilton, 82, a resident of Osceola for the past few months, fatally shot himself June 15, 1954 at the home of John and Leslie, Balcom in the town of Redfield near the county line. Mr. Tilton, who is reported to have previously asserted he would kill himself; took his own life by, means of a .303 calibre Canadian Army rifle, used in deer hunting by John Balcom. The bullet struck Tilton in the lower chest, angling out between the shoulder blades. He had used a stove poker to trigger the gun. The body was discovered at 7 in their front yard of the home having toppled over into some shrubbery which partially concealed it until a more thorough search was made. Burial Will be in Dugway Cemetery. Mr. Tilton is survived by three sons, William, North Syracuse; Newton, Cicero; and Pearl, Osceola; two daughters,, Mrs. William Webb of Chieopee Falls, Mass. and Mrs. Earl Ladd, Brewerton; a brother, William, of Mexico


Marriage Notes for Dora M Soble and Clarence Albert Tilton

 - Divorce Announcement (The Oswego Daily Palladium, NY, June 29, 1901)
  Justice Wright today in special Term granted a decree of absolute divorce to Dora Tilton from Clarence Tilton. The parties live in Parish and have two children.  Justice Wright awarded the custody of the eldest child to the mother and that of the second child to the paternal grandparents. TheTiltons were married in Albion in 1890, but moved later to Parish Four yeas ago, the husband and wife separated and have since lived apart. Tilton made no defense, and the testimony strngly proving his misconduct, the decree was readily granted.
