  Fort Plain - Kenneth Peter Hime of Palatine Bridge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hime of Nelliston and Miss Elizabeth Florence Kneaskern, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Kneaskern of Canajoharie, were united in marriage Friday Evening, and the Fort Plain Reformed church parsonage, the pastor of the church, Rev. E. R. Kruzinga, performing the ceremony.
  The attending couple was Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Moyer, Fort Plain. Following the ceremony the newlyweds lefr on a cedding trip and will reside at Canajoharie following their return.

  Miss Kathy Jean Snyder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harland B. Snyder, Fort Plain, and Roger Hime, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hime, Palatine Bridge were married this afternoon in the Fort Plain Methodist Church.
  The Rev. Russell J. Bales, pastor, performed the 1 o'clock ceremony in a setting of white snapdragons and pompons. The traditional wedding music was played by Mrs. Mary King, organist, and Fred Stockwell was soloist.
  Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a full length gown of white silk-faced peau over taffeta with a circle neckline, and Empire waist. The bodice and A-line skirt were adorned with reembroidery of Alencon lace accented with seed pearls and crystals, the gown featured a detachable chapel length train. From hex triple crown embellished with lace, pearls and crystals fell a bouffant veil of English imported silk illusion and she carried an arm bouquet of white carnations, a white orchid, Ivy and calladium leaves.
  Mrs. Marlene Carbonelli, Hagaman, sister of the bridegroom was matron of honor. She was attired in a full length gown of gold and custard brocade and crepe over taffeta with matching coat. She wore a matching headpiece with a double bouffant veil and carried an arm bouquet of yellow snapdragons and gold and blue pompons with gold ribbon.
  The bridesmaids were Mrs. Carol Blowers, Fonda. Miss Linda Hokerk, Fort Plain, Miss Maude Eckler. Stone Arabia, cousin of the bridegroom, and Mrs. Shirley Bouck, Fort Plain, cousin of the bride. Miss Penny Ray, Hagaman, niece of the bridegroom, served as junior bridesmaid. The bridesmaids wore gowns similar to that of the matron of honor in royal and princess blue and carried arm bouquets of yellow snapdragons and gold and blue pompons with blue ribbon.
  Miss Veronica Herron, Fort Plain, was flower girl. Her gown, a copy of the bride's, in white silk, had a chapel length train. She wore a crown of lace and pearls with ribbon streamers and carried a white basket with white, gold and blue pompons.
  Franklin Nelson, Fort Plain, was the best man. Ushers were Terry Snyder, Fort Plain, brother of the bride, and Michael Carbonelli Sr., Hagaman, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Thomas Moore, St. Johnsville, Owen Christman, Palatine Bridge, and Barry Christman, Palatine Bridge. Michael Carbonelli Jr., nephew of the bridegroom, served as ringbearer.

  Mrs. Georgiana Herrick, 51, of Amsterdam RD 1, a native of Gloversville, died at 9:30 yesterday morning in St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam, where she had been a patient six days.
   She was born in Gloversville, March 4, 1917, the daughter of William and Maude Shultz Kneaskern. She had been a resident of the Amsterdam area since 1944 and was an employe of the Amsterdam Printing and Lithographing Company.
  Survivors, in addition to her husband, Roscoe Herrick, are one son, Melvin Herrick of Amsterdam; one daughter, Mrs. Peter Carderella of Amsterdam; six sisters, Mrs. Fred Krohn of Amsterdam RD 1, Mrs. Kenneth Hime of Palatine Bridge, Mrs. Thomas Sorval of Van Hornesville, Mrs. John Northover of Johnstown, Mrs. Victor Eckler of Nelliston and Mrs. Michael Kane of Seabrook, Conn.; one brother, Crawford Kneaskern of Nelliston, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

  AMSTERDAM — A funeral for Roscoe C. Herrick, 55, of Amsterdam RD 1, who died Friday, night at Memorial Hospital, will be-conducted at 1:30 p.m. today at the Betz Funral Home. Burial will be in Chuctanunda Cemetery, Minaville.
   Born Feb. 11, 1919, in the Town of Florida, Mr. Herrick was graduated from Wilbur H. Lynch High School in 1936. He was a dairy farmer all his life.
   His wife, Georgianna Herrick, died Jan. 21, 1969.
   He is survived by a son, Melvin C. Herrick of Amsterdam; a daughter, Mrs. Carol Cardarella, Amsterdam; his mother, three grandchildren; an aunt and cousins.

  FORT PLAIN - Renee Kay Sorval, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas R. Sorval, Reid Street, Fort Plain, and Walter Edward Nellis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Edward Nellis, Nellis Street, Nelliston, were married June 11, at United Methodist Church. The Rev. Allen Rhodes officiated.
   The bride wore a polysheer organza and lace gown with a Queen Ann neckline and shepherdess sleeves. The natural waistline bodice was appliqued with Schiffli and silk Venise lace.
   The full A-line skirt, which formed an ultra cathedral length train, was adorned with appliques and ruffles. She wore a matching picture hat with illusion bow and veiling of fingertip length and carried white roses, stephanotis and baby's breath.
   The honor attendant, Mrs. Barbara Austin, sister of the bride, wore a spice and white print gown and a matching crownless picture hat with illusion veiling. She carried carnations, stephanotis and baby's breath.
   The attendants, Miss Cindy Austin, niece of the bride; Mrs. Marylou Wagner, sister of the bridegroom; Miss Lisa Elliott and Miss Constance Bauder, both friends of the bride, wore identical gowns and headpieces to the honor attendant in teal, wine, navy, and purple, respectively.
  The flower girl, Miss Mindy Wagner, the bridegroom's niece, wore a white organza gown, a wreath of baby's breath in her hair and carried carnations and baby's breath in a basket.
   Donald Gros, Nelliston, friend of the bridegroom, was best man.
   Ushers included Kenneth Nellis and Richard Nellis, brothers of the bridegroom, Nelliston; Thomas Sorval, Jr., Canajoharie, brother of the bride, and Mark Austin, nephew of the bride, Fort Plain.
   Tyson Scott Sorval was ring bearer.
   Mrs. Beverly Sitterly, Fort Plain, was organist and Judy Sinner of Johnstown was soloist.
   The couple are now living in Glens Falls.

John W Northover

 - Obituary (Leader-Herald, Gloversville-Johnstown, NY, Monday, December 20, 1976)
  John W. Northover, 61, of Summerfield, Fla., a former city resident, died Tuesday at the Gainesville, Fla., Veterans Hospital, where he had been a patient about a month.
   He was bom April 23,1915, in Johnstown, the son of John H. and Margaret Northover, and received his education in Johnstown schools.
   In 1941, he married the former Regina Kneaskern, who survives.
   Mr. Northover was employed for more than 25 years by the State Department of Transportation, retiring three years ago, after which he moved to Florida with his wife.
   He was a member of the Fort Plain VFW post.
   Survivors in addition to his wife include three daughters, Mrs. Stanley Silverstein of Liberty, Mrs. William Taglialatela of Johnstown and Mrs. Michael Walters of Star Lake; a sister, Mrs. Gladys Christman of Johnstown; five grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
   A service was held Friday at the Roberts Funeral Home in Ocala, Fla., followed by burial in Ocala.

  CANAJOHARIE, Dec. 26.—Miss Regina Kneaskern, daughter of William Kneaskern, Canajoharie, and John Northover, son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Northover, Johnstown, were married in a Christmas Day ceremony performed by the Rev. Roscoe Conkllng Hatch in St. John's Episcopal Church, Johnstown, yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock.
   The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Crawford Kneaskern of Canajoharie. An organ recital was given by Frederic Hodges before and after the ceremony.
   Miss Helen Kneaskern of Canajoharie, a sister of the bride, was maid of honor and Albert de Araugo of Fort Plain acted as best man.
   The bride was attired in a white moire gown, princess style, with a sweetheart neckline, and carried a bouquet of mixed flowers. Her attendant wore a white net gown over pink and carried a nosegay of mixed flowers.
   Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bridegroom with about forty relatives and friends in attendance. The attendants were presented with personal gifts.
   The newlyweds left to take up residence in Buffalo, where Mr. Northover is employed by the Bell Aircraft Company.

  CANAJOHARIE — Mrs. Helen K. Berrian, 54, Sprakers RD, was killed in an automobile accident on Route 162 Sunday evening.
   Mrs. Berrian was born in Fonda Dec. 20, 1923, the daughter of William and Maude Schultz Kneaskern. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mildred Giordono, Hollywood,
Fla.; one son, Crawford Eckler, U.S. Army, Fort Benning, Ga.; five sisters, Mrs. Fred Krohn, Millpoint, N.Y., Mrs. Elizabeth Hime, Mrs. Regina Northover, both of Summerfield, Fla., Mrs. Edna Sorval, Fort Plain, Mrs. Margaret Kane, Groton, Conn.; one brother, Crawford Kneaskern, Randall, three grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Houghtaling Funeral Home, Inc. John Lehman, lay person of the Jehovah Witness Church, Nelliston, will officiate. Burial will be made in the Canajoharie Falls Cemetery at a later date.
   Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

  FORT PLAIN - Victor H. Eckler, 66, of RD 2, proprietor of the New American Hotel until it burned last September and operator of a taxi company, died April 24 in Amsterdam Memorial Hospital.
  He was born at Indian Castle. He had operated a public taxi business from 1920 to 1946 when he went into the hotel management business. After the hotel burned, he returned to tha taxi firm.
  Besides his wife, Helen, he leaves a daughter, Miss Maude Eckler. a student at the State University of New York at New Paltz; two sons, Victor Jr., Fonda, and Crawford, at home; four brothers. Stanley and Kenneth, both of Fort Plain; Harry, Nelliston, and Howard, Fort Plain, and three sisters, Mrs. De Forest Phillips and Mrs. Frank Spraker, both of Fort Plain, and Mrs. William Gros, Nelliston
  The funeral will be at 10 tomorrow from the Swartz Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Russell Bales, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Canajoharie Falls Cemetery.

  William H. Warren, 63, of 6 Water Street, Johnstown, died in the Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville, Saturday afternoon.
  Mr. Warren was born August 13, 1874, in the Town of Mayfleld, a son of Daniel and Cecelia Kring Warren. He had been a resident of Johnstown about 27 years, following the occupation of a glove cutter before his retirement about 12 years ago. He was a member of St. Patrick's Lodge, 4, F. and A. M., Johnstown.
  The survivors are his wife, Myra; three sons, Daniel, Johnstown, Clyde, St Johnsville, and Howard, Hawaiian Islands, and one brother, Dr. Charles Warren, Bergenfteld, N. J.
  Teh funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the A. G. Cole funeral home, Johnstown. Interment will be made in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.

  Mrs. Myra A. Warren, aged 74, of Water street, widow of William H. Warren, former alderman, died this morning at the Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville, where she had been a patient five days.
  Death brought to an end a period of failing health extending over a period of two years.
  Mrs. Warren was born in the Town of Ephratah, May 30, 1876, daughter of Alexaader Christman and Mary Smith, and had been a resident or Johnstown for the past half century.
  Her husband passed away June 18th, 1938. She was a member of the Fremont Street Methodist church
of Gloversville.
  The survivors are three sons, Daniel of Johnstown, Clyde of St, Johnsville and Howard residing at home, four grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
  The funeral will be held at the A. G. Cole funeral home Sunday afternoon at 2. The Rev. Arnold E. Dykhuisen of the Reformed church will officiate and burial will ue made in Ephratah.

  Ogdensburg. Oct 19.—DeWitt C. Kring, 35, representing Bill, Bell & company in the eatstern states, died yesterday after a short illness of pneumonia in Burlington, Vt. He is survived by an infant daughter, his wife having died suddenly a month ago yesterday; also by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Kring of Black Lake. His remains will be taken there for burial.

  Burlington, Sept. 18 When Dewitt C Kring, a traveling man, living at 14 Beach street, returned from a trip yesterday afternoon, it was to find his wife of a year and nine months lying dead on the floor with gas from a range, and it was evident that the accidental leaving of a gas jet turned on had been the cause of death.
  Mrs. Kring had been dead only a short time as her body was discovered about three o'clock and she had done up the work following the noon day meal. In another room, with the door shut between, was the three months old baby which had evidently not been left alone long.
  Mr. Kring, who has been a resident of Burlington for about three years, travels for Bill Bell & Co. of Ogdensburgh, N. Y. He married nearly two years ago Miss Pauline Fleming of Brooklyn, N. Y. When he discovered the body, he notified Dr. H. L. Wilder, but the physician arrived too late to be of use. Health Officer Ennisalso viewed the body.
  Mrs. Kring was 30 years of age. She is survived by her husband and little child, Clinton Fleming Kring. She also leaves a mother, Mrs. M. E. Fleming, now living in Brooklyn, N. Y. and four sisters.

  The birde is a daughter of the late John W. McCulloch, formerly a prominent citizen and supervisor of the town of Brownsville, Jefferson county. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson Kring of Black Lake, and a graduate of Ogdensburg Academy and of the Clarkson Techincal School of Potsdam, N.Y.
  IN the evening, Mr. and Mrs. Kring departed on a wedding trip to Lake George. they will be home at Barneveld, N.Y., the second week of July.
