  Mrs. Nettie Polmateer, 79, St. Johnsville RD 1, died Thursday morning in Gloversville Extended Care and Nursing Home, where she had resided for the past three years.
  She was born May 9, 1896, in the Town of Palatine, the daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth Gray Kneeskern, and was a lifetime resident of the Ephratah area.
  On March 26, 1919, she was married in Ephratah to Clyde Polmateer who died Jan. 14, 1962. She was formerly employed as a glove worker in her home. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Ephratah.
  Survivors include two sons, Leonard and Arnold; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Saltsman and Mrs. Mildred Denmark, a brother, Stephen Kneeskern, all of Ephratah; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
  The funeral was held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Swartz Funeral Home, Fort Plain, with Rev. Robert Jewell of the Ephratah United Methodist Church officiating. Interment was made in Ephratah Rural Cemetery.

  FORT PLAIN — Clyde Polmateer, 70, of Fort Plain R.D. 2, died yesterday at Johnstown Hospital where he had been a patient several weeks.
  He was born Oct. 27, 1891, in Ephratah, a son of Theodore and Margaret Snyder Polmateer and resided all his life in that area.
  He worked for the New York State Highway Department for 38 years, retiring in 1959.
  Surviving are his wife, the former Nettie Kneeskern; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred F. Erjanec and Mrs. Margaret Saltsman; two sons, Leonard and Arnold Polmateer, and four grandchildren, all of Ephratah.
  Services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Swartz funeral home, with interment in Ephratah Cemetery.

  Donald L. Kretser, 66, of RD 3, St. Johnsville, died early Saturday morning at Little Falls Hospital, where he had been a patient since Oct. 31.
  Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Gray Funeral Home, Fort Plain, with the Rev. Douglas Cowburn, pastor of the St. Johnsville United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the West St. Johnsville Cemetery.
  Calling hours will be from 7-9 p m Tuesdav at the Gray Funeral Home, and the St. Johnsville Volunteer Fire Department will conduct a service at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
  Mr. Kretser was born May 12, 1917, in St. Johnsville, the son of
LaPier and Mildred Nellis Kretser. He attended St. Johnsville schools and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
  Following his tour of duty in the Army, he was employed by the former Gehring Textile Co., which later became Helmont Mills, and he retired in December 1982.
  He was a member of the Morris J, Edwards American Legion Post, St. Johnsville, and was active in the St. Johnsville Volunteer Fire Department, serving as chief and assistant chief at various times. He also was an active bowler.
  He is survived by his wife, the former Theresa Velgri, whom he married Dec. 14, 1974; two daughters. Mrs. Bernard (Linda) Haak of St. Johnsville and Mrs. James (Beth) Rademakers of Arlington, Texas; a son, Franklin L. Kretser of St. Johnsville.

  Miss Dora Soules, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Frank Soules, 18 William street and Donald Kretser, son of Mr. and Mrs. LaPier Kretser, Averill street, were married Saturday afternoon at 3:30 in the Methodist church parsonage by the Rev. C. F. Miller, pastor.
  The attendants were Miss Margaret Pierce, a friend of the young couple, and Roscoe Soules. brother of the bride.
  The bride wore a wine colored velvet dress with blue accessories and an orchid corsage. Miss Pierce navy blue with matching accessories and a corsage of gardenias.
  The marriage was followed by a wedding dinner at the Brunswick hotel, Fonda. The newlyweds have taken up their residence in a newly furnished home at 14 William street.
  The bride, who was graduated from St. Johnsville high school in the class of 1935, is employed by the Little Falls Felt Shoe Company in its local plant. Mr. Kretser who also attended the local schools, is employed by the Luxor Textiles, Inc.. this village Both are highly esteemed young people.
  The bride's. gift to her bridesmaid a gold bracelet and the groom's gift to his attendant was a cigarette lighter.
  The bride was guest of honor at showers given by her aunt, Mrs. Seward Countryman, by her attendant, Miss Pierce and co-workers, and by the staff of of the lodges of Montgomery county Rebekahs of which the bride is a member. She is also the noble grand of Montgomery Rebekah lodge of this village.

  ST. JOHNSVILLE - Miss Beth Marie Kretser, daughter of Mrs. Dora Kretser, 18 William Street, St. Johnsville, and James V. Rademakers, Scarborough, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin Rademakers of Brooklyn, were married at 2 Saturday afternoon, Aug. 28, in the Methodist Church at St. Johnsville. The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Charles Montgomery, pastor of the church.
  Wedding music was rendered by Raymond Gray of Oppenheim, and the soloist was Miss Gail Montgomery.
  The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Franklyn Kretser.
  Mrs. Bernard Haak, St. Johnsville, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor.
  The bridal attendant was Mrs. Marcus Toedt.
  The best man was John Atwood, Ossining, and the ushers were Marcus Toedt and Bernard Haak, a brother-in-law of the bride.
  Following the wedding a reception was held at Old Mill Inn, on Route 5, east of St. Johnsville. The bride is a graduate of St. Johnsville High School, class of 1962, and attended Albany Business College. The bridegroom graduated from High School in Brooklyn, in 1960, and the Hudson Valley Community College in 1965. He is employed by the IBM in New York City.
  They will reside in New York City.
  The bride was entertained at a pre-nuptial party by her attendants, and a wedding party was held at Capece's Restaurant, on the night before the wedding.

  Mrs. Evelyn Weatherston, 62, of 153 West Street, died at 2:55 yesterday afternoon at Littauer Hospital where she was a patient three weeks.
  She was born Oct. 30, 1912, in Johnstown, the daughter of Alfred and Lulu Pisot Fennel. She attended Gloversville schools and was a lifelong resident of the Glove Cities area.
  Mrs. Weatherston had been employed as a clerk for various area stores in her earlier years. She was a member of Fremont Street United Methodist Church.
   She was married to John Weatherston, who survives, on May 16, 1954.
  Other survivors include two sons, James F. Glover of Bleecker and Jon M. Glover of Gloversville; one daughter, Miss Joni Weatherston of Gloversville; seven grandchildren, one aunt and several cousins.

  The bride wore a powder blue suit with dark blue accessories and an orchid corsage.
  The maid of honor. Miss Genevieve Karl, wore a royal blue suit with dark blue accessories and a corsage of red roses.
  The best man was Chester Kuehner. A reception was held at the Nick Stoner Inn immediately following the ceremony with about 20 in attendance. Mr, and Mrs. Weatherston presented their attendants with personal gifts.
  The bridegroom is employed by the Gloversville Highway Department.

  Emma K. Sturm, 90, of Liverpool, NY and formerly of Schenectady, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2006 with her family beside her.
  Born in Ephratah, NY, Emma lived in Schenectady, NY for most of her life before moving to Liverpool 3 1/2 years ago.
  She was the Head Payroll Clerk in the Attorney Generals Office in Albany for many years before retiring in 1981.
  She was a member and past president of the Rotterdam Lioness Club and also a member and past President of the Women's Democratic Club in Rotterdam.
  Emma is survived by her daughter, Edith Yeldon; a sister, Margaret Farhart; 4 grandchildren, Connie (Dan) Ager, Thomas (Tammy) Yeldon Jr., Michael (Kathy) Yeldon and Jeffrey Yeldon; a niece, Joni (Calvin) Dennie; a grandniece, Shannie Dennie; seven great-grandchildren, Nicole, Danny, Jeremy, T.J., Jennifer, Brian and Catrina; and one great-great-grandchild, Haley.
  Funeral services were held in March in North Syracuse, NY. Burial will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville, NY.
  Contributions in her name may be made to the Schenectady Lions Club.

  Miss Catherine Emma Weatherston, daughter of Mrs. Jones [sic] Weatherston of 153 West street, and Frank B. Lasher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Byron Lasher of 106 West street, were married Saturday night at 8 at the home of the bride's mother. Rev, Fred L. Decker, D. D., pastor of the First Methodist church, officiated. The house was prettily decorated, with palms and cut flowers.
  Miss Margaret Weatherston, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Waldron Lasher, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. The bride was attractively dressed in her mother's wedding outfit. Her attendant wore a printed silk dress. The wedding march was played by Mrs, Ruth Schuh
  After the ceremony a luncheon was served.
  Folloeing a short wedding trip, the newlyweds will resdide at their newly-furnished apartment at 104 Lincoln street.

  L Clyde Seaman, popular young resident of this city, passed away yesterday morning about 8:15 at his home, 230 North Perry street, after being ill for four days with pneumonia. He was 36 years of age.
  Mr. Seamon was born in Gloversville, April 6, 1808, the son of Harry G. and Alta Barber Seaman. The family moved to Johnstown while he was a baby, and he had since made his home here.
  He was a member of the First Methodist church, Chi Psi Alpha Mu fraternity of Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vermont, and the New York State Teachers' Association.
  "Larry" Seaman , as he was familiarly known, was graduated from Johnstown High school, class of 1926, after which he spent two and one-half years in Middlebury College. He later entered Oneonta Normal school from which he was graduated last June.
  Since September, he had taught the district school at Peck's Park in the Town of Johnstown, and was one of the most popular teachers ever connected with that school.
  He was well known in this vicinity as a baseball pitcher during his High school career and after graduation. He also played basketball with the High school and while attending Oneonta Normal school.
  Through his genial disposition and pleasing personality, Mr, Seaman had attracted a wide circle of friends and his untimely passing will be mourned throughout the community.
  The survivors are his widow, Mrs. Anna Kubina Seaman; twin, sons, L. Clyde, Jr., and James A. Seaman; his father, Harry G. Seaman, local building contractor, who is at present spending the Winter in St. Petersburg, Florida; and his grandmother, Mrs. Martha Seaman, of Johnstown,
  The funeral will be held at the A. G. Cole funeral home tomorrow afternoon at 2. Rev. David Paton, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church, will officiate. The remains will be placed in the receiving vault of Prospect Hill cemetery in Gloversville.

  Miss Anna Marie Kubina, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Kubina, 440 West Main street, joined the ranks of the June brides when she was wed to Lawrence Clyde Seaman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry G. Seaman, 308 South Market street, at a quiet ceremony performed last evening at 9 at the parsonage of the First Methodist church, with Rev. David Paton, pastor, officiating.
  Miss Mary Kubina, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, and Merwyn Bassett attended the groom.
  The bride was becomingly gowned in a dress of blue chiffon with hat and slippers to match. The bridesmaids also wore an attractive blue dress with hat and slippers to match.
  Mrs. Seaman's gift to her attendance (sic) was a necklace with a bracelet to match. Mr. Seaman presented the best man with a cigaret lighter.
  Directly following the wedding, announcement of which will come as a great surprise to the many friends of the popular young couple Mr. and Mrs. Seaman left by motor for a honeymoon at Atlantic City, N. J. Upon their return they will reside at 308 South Market street for the present.
  Mrs. Seaman attended Johnstown High school. She is physical director of the girls and womens department of the Johnstown Union Sokol and has been instrumental in the advancement ot this organization's activities. She is leader of Girl Scout Troop 3 and has been associated with numerous other social end civic projects of a similar nature. Mrs. Seaman is employed *at at the Scotsmoor Company.
  Mr. Seaman is a graduate of Johnstown High school and attended Middlebury College. At the present time be is associated with his father in the contracting business.
  The many friends of the young couple will join in extending them much happiness and success in their maritial venture.

  JOHNSTOWN - Funeral services for Walter A. Eacker, 90, of 505 S. Perry St., who died Tuesday night at the Johnstowm hospital where he had been a patinet six weeks, will be conducted at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Brown & Ehle Funreal Home by the Rev. Joel W. Shippey.
  Friends may call at their convience at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fern Dale Cemetery.
  Mr. Eacker had operated businesses in Gloversville and Johnstown. He was born Feb. 25, 1880, in Stone Arabia and had lived in Johnstown 82 years. He was a graduate of Johnstown High School and the former Johnstown Business School.
  After graduation, he entered into partnership with the late Frederick Meyers in a shoe store business which Eacker later operated alone for a time upon the retirement of Meyers. He then went into partnership again and founded Johnstown WUL-SHU Co. With Joseph Kollar. The company was later sold.
  Mr. Eacker was employed several years at Harmon Electrical Co. and managed the concern's Gloversville store which he later bought in 1939. A few years later he opened a similar business in Johnstown. The two stores were operated under the name of W. A. Eacker Appliances until 1952, when he retired.
  Mr. Eacker married Bessie E. Potter in 1908. She died in 1952.
  He was a member of the First United Methodis Church in which he was the past president of the men's club. He was a member of the Johnstown YMCA Senior Citizens Club and a charter member of the former Colonial Club in Jhnstown. He served on the Ferndale Cemetery board of directors for many years, being named honorary life member in January.
  Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Morris J. Crnell of Johnstown; a brother, Orva M. Eacke rof Johnstown, two nephews a niece and several cousins.

  Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie E. Potter Eacker, wife of Walter A. Eacker, were held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 from the home, 505 South Perry street.  Rev. David Paton, pastor of the Methodist  Episcopal church, officiated, assisted by Rev. T. G. Thompson, D. D.
  The funeral was largely attended and there were many floral Offerings, including pieces from the C. B. S. class and Men's Club of the Methodist Episcopal church.
  The bearers were James Van Voast, DeWitt Dockstader, Harry Seaman, Guy P. Smith, Lansing Kilmer and Daniel Mason. Interment was made in Fern Dale cemetery.

  A quiet home wedding took place Wednesday evening at 6:30 o'clock at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry W. Potter, in Johnstown, when their daughter, Miss Bessie, and Walter A. Eacker, also of that city, were united in marriage.
  The ceremony was performed by the Rev. C. L. Hall, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church, in the presence of the immediate families.

 -Wedding Announcement (The Morning Herald, Gloversville and Johnstown, NY, Monday, October, 5, 1936)
  One of the brilliant nuptial events of the Autumn season took place Saturday afternoon at 3, when Miss Annette Louise Eacker, daughter of Walter A. Eacker, became the bride of Morris James Cornell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Seward S. Cornell of Glens Falls.
  The ceremony, which took place at the home of the bride, was performed by Rev. David Paton, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church, in the presence of about 60 relatives and friends of the contracting couple.
  The wedding party entered the living room and took positions in front of the fireplace which had been banked with ferns, palms and cut flowers by Frederick, the florist. The bride was given in marriage by her father.
  Miss Myra L. Cook of Poultney, Vermont, who is making her present home in Johnstown, acted as bridesmaid, and Kenneth Bowers of Glens Falls, was best man.
  The bride was gowned in Copen blue transparent velvet, Princess style, with matching accessories, and carried an arm bouquet of white chrysanthemums. The bridesmaid was attired in Dubonnet transparent velvet, also Princess style, with accessories to match, and carried yellow chrysanthemums.
  As the party entered, Mrs. Robert S. Ireland played a wedding march and during the ceremony she rendered "O Promise Me." Following the ceremony, a wedding luncheon was served at the Eacker home under the direction of Mrs. Sherman Bowman, cateress.
  There were guests present from Glens Falls, Amsterdam and Mayfield.
  The bridegroom presented his bride with a bracelet, set with sapphires, and the bride's gift to her husband was a leather military case. The bridesmaid received a gold necklace, with golden sapphires, from the bride, and the best man's gift from the bridegroom was a billfold and key case.
  Later in the afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Cornell departed for a wedding trip to New York City. The bride's traveling outfit was a gray suit with matching accessories. Upon their return they will reside at 505 South Perry street.
  Mrs. Cornell, one of Johnstown's well known and popular young residents, attended Johnstown High School. She has been the guest of honor at a number of pre-nuptial affairs.
  Mr. Cornell is a graduate of Glens Falls High and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy. He is employed at the New York Power & Light Corporation Schenectady.

 - Obituary (The Morning Herald, Gloversville and Johnstown, NY, Saturday, October 11, 1941)
  Jeate Delbert Eacker, 87, well known and popular business man, firm member and manager of the D. S. Stark & Co., department store, for the paat twenty years died suddenly of a heart attack yesterday morning about 8 at his home, 12 Whitmore avenue.
  He had not been feeling as well as usual for about a week but had been at work each day. He bowled a part of the weekly match with his team at the Eagles' club Thursday night but returned home without finishing it.
   Yesterday morning he arose at the usual time, went down to the Comrie farm to feed his saddle horse and complained of severe pains in his chest when he returned home about 8.
  Dr. Austin Hogan was summoned and rendered medical assistance but the attack was a fatal one and death came shortly before 9. It was due to coronary occlusion.
  Mr. Eacker was a lifelong resident of Johnstown, born here November 2, 1893, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Eacker He received his education in the public schools and was united in marriage September 3 , 1917, to Miss Marie Kelly.
  In the Summsr of the following year, June 18, 1916, he enlisted in the U. S. Army, saw considerable service overseas and was with a machine gun company at the close of the World War.
  While still a young man he took a position in the dry goods store founded by the late David S. Stark and following the latters death became a member of the company and active head of the business.
  He was a member of Johnstown Post, 473, American Legion. Fulton County Post 3077, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Fort Johnson Aerie, 1575, F. O. E.
  A man of likeable manner and personality, his energy and initiative brought him well deserved success in business and his sudden passing came as a distinct shock to a wide circle of friends and acquaintances throughout the community who admired his many fine qualities.
  The survivors are his wife, two sons, Richard and Jesse D, Jr., his mother, Mrs. Elvira Eacker, and two brothers Walter A and Orva M. Eacker, both prominent in business circles.
  The body was removed to the Wassunc & Brown funeral home to be prepared for Interment, and later was returned to the family home, where it win remain until Monday. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Fern Dale cemetery.

  A service for Orva M. Eacker was held at 2 this afternoon at the Ehle Funeral Home with Rev. Wesley L. Hamlin, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, officiating.
  Bearers were James Wilson, Jesse Eacker Jr. William Devendorf, Howard Young, Morris Cornell and Olin Holland.
  Burial was in Fern Dale Cemetery.
  The American Legion post conducted a ritual last night at the funeral home.

  Orva M. Eacker, 78, of 200 North Chase Street, retired owner and operator of the Eacker and Callery Shoe Store, 31 West Main Street, died at Johnstown Hospital yesterday morning, where he had been a patient one week. He had been in failing health about six months.
  He was born Aug. 21, 1896 in Johnstown, the son of Delbert and Elvira Beck Eacker, and on Aug. 23, 1922, married the former Gladys Cummings of Amsterdam, who survives.
  After graduating from Johnstown High School, he worked for 15 years for the former Butler Shoe Store. In 1938, Mr. Eacker and Thomas Callery formed a partnership and took over the business. He retired about five years ago.
  Other schools he attended, related to his business, were the Scholl's Orthopedic Training School, Chicago, 1917, and the National School of Orthopraxy, St. Louis, Mo., 1920.
  A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church and of the American Legion post.
  Survivors besides his wife include a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Moynihan of Syracuse; three grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

  Miss Gladys B. Cummings, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Cummings of Amsterdam and Orva M. Eacker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Eacker of 101 East Clinton avenue, this city, were married at the rectory of St. Mary's church, Amsterdam, by the Rev. William McCleary, Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. The double ring ceremony was used. The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Van Derveer.
  The bride was becomingly attired in a gown of black romaine crepe with hat to match and wore a corsage of white Victoria roses. Mrs. Van Derveer wore a gown of black lace over black satin with hat to match and a corsage of My Maryland roses.
  Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Van Derveer, 36 Grand avenue, Amsterdam. Mr. and Mrs. Eacker left later in the day tor Atlantic City and other southern points. Upon their return they will make their residence in Johnstown. The bride's gift to her matron of honor was a white gold bracelet set with white sapphires, while the bridegroom gave the best man a set of gold cuff Ulincks.
  Mr. Eacker is a popular young Johnstown resident and is employed as clerk in the Butler shoe store in West Main street. The bride is an esteemed resident of Amsterdam. Both have a legion ot friends who will unite in extending best wishes.

  Northville - Rev. Alvin Young, 78, retired pastor of the Holiness Mission Church, died at 7 last night in Litauer Hospital where he was admitted during the afternoon. He had not been in good health for about a year but was able to be about.
  Rev. Young was born in Stone Arabia, Nov. 28, 1878. After his marriage in 1906 to Marguerite Sauer. who died in 1953. they moved to Amsterdam. He waa ordained there and then moved to Northville.
  In his early life he did evangelistic work covering every state in the country and South America. He was also an outstanding vocalist. He served the Northville Holiness Church for 37 years, retiring in 1956.
  Rev. Young served as district secretary of the Holiness Pilgrim Church for more than 30 years and was a member of the council. He was treasurer of the Victory Camp for more than 40 years and active in civic work in the village.
  Survivors are two daughters, Mrs Hazel Fountain of Northville and Mrs. Ina Weyant of Newburgh; one brother. Homer Young. Springfield, Mass., two sisters, Mrs. Howard Timmerman and Mrs. Harold DeGroff, Scotia; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild, nieces and nephews.

  Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Holiness Mission at Northville for Mrs. Marguerite Caroline Young, wife of the pastor, the Rev. Alvin Young, who died at her home Saturday afternoon after an illness of several years.
  Mrs. Young was born in Amsterdam Jan. 17, 1883. the daughter of Michael and Hanna Albrecht Sauer, and was married here to the Rev. Mr. Young April 18, 1906. They resided in this city for 13 years following their marriage and then located in Northville.
  Mrs. Young was a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church and attended the Northville Holiness Mission where her husband has served as pastor for 10 years.
  Survivors besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Fountain, Northville, and Mrs. Ina Weyant. Newburgh; two sisters, Mrs. Harriet Fox, Gloversville, and Mrs. Clarence Juedes, Arlington, Va.: three brothers, John Sauer, Stockton, Calif., Charles Sauer, Flint, Mich., and William Sauer, Gloversville; seven grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
  The Rev. A. E. Blann, Oneonta, former pastor of the Northville mission, officiated at the funeral service, assisted by the Rev. O. A. Fay. Albany, district superintendent of Pilgrim Holiness Missions. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.

  The funeral of Lloyd Vernon Young was held yesterday at 2:30 at the Holiness Mission, preceded by a prayer service at the home at 2. There was a very large attendance, and a profusion of beautiful floral tributes. Rev. A. E. Blann of Northville, assisted by Rev. Helsby of Gloversville, officiated. Two vocal selections were rendered by the ladies quartet.
  The bearers were Kenneth Brownell, John Knowles, William Blann, Preston Stuart, Robert Fountain and Orville Lawrence. Interment was made in the family plot in the Prospect Hill cemetery.

  Leon Jennings, 74, of Mayfield RD 1, died at 3:40 this morning at his winter home in Fort Pierce, Fla.
  Born in Johnstown, he also lived in Gloversville and Gloversville RD 1 prior to moving to Mayfield. At one time he was employed in the Finocan Furniture Store in Gloversville, and later conducted a general store at Van Mills. He retired from the business in 1948. He was a member of Fish House Lodge of Masons, of Northville, also of the Johnstown Chapter of Masons, of Holy Cross Commandry Knights Templar and of Cyprus Temple Shrine of the Masons.
  Survivors are four sons, Claude, and Guy, both of Mayfield RD, Faye, of Cleveland, O., and Hugh, of St Louis. Missouri; one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Eichman, of Cleveland; one brother, Floyd, of Broadalbin; 15 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

  Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Jennings gave a very delightful reception at their home. No. 6 Collingwood avenue, Thursday evening in honor of their son, Leon Jennings, and his bride. The guests numbered fully fifty, a greater part of whom reside in Fonda, Tribes Hill and Glovesville. The house was handsomely trimmed for the occasion, red and green floral effects prevailing in the parlor while the dining room was adorned with pink flowers. A several course luncheon was served after which a number of choice musical selections was rendered. Many of the guests took this opportunity of presenting Mr. and Mrs. Leon Jennings with wedding gifts which included silverware, cut glass and table linen. The affair was most enjoyable in every way.
