   Harold A. Blake, Jr., 91, of Fulton, passed away Sunday, November 2 at Morningstar Care Center in Oswego. He retired in 1987 from the quality control department at Sealright Packaging Company in Fulton. Harold was a member and past Vestryman of All Saints Episcopal Church, Fulton. He had served in the U.S. Army with the 11th Armored Division of the Third Army during World War II and was a member of the Battle of the Bulge Veterans of Oswego and Masonic War Veterans. Harold was a member of several masonic organizations which included past Master of Hiram Lodge #144, F.&A.M. in Fulton; past Grand Deacon of the Grand Lodge of Masons of the State of New York; past High Priest of Fulton Chapter #167, R.A.M.; member of Council #50, Cryptic Masons; Scottish Rite Bodies; Central New York, York Rite College and past Sovereign of Red Cross of Constantine. He was elected to the Fulton Bowling Hall of Fame in 1992. Harold was predeceased by his daughter, Susan Miniaci in 2004. Surviving are his wife, Barbara D. Blake of Fulton; a grandson, Jon Miniaci of Florida; a brother, Bernard (Irene) Blake of Oswego; several nieces, nephews.

Mr. Blake is an employee of the Black Clawson, Fulton Plant.

  On July 29, Barbara Ann Blake of 506 Pratt Street, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Blake of R.D. #3 Mexico, married Gary Anthony Scerbo of 5 Litwak St., son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Scerbo of the same address at the St. Michael's Church. The reception was held after at Masonic Temple.
  The bride wore a total look gown of white satapeau in floor length. The gown was fashioned in Princess line having a spray of seed pearls and lace adorning the skirt in front and long puffed sleeves with a Chapel length veil.
  Flowers for the bride were pink sweetheart roses, miniature carnations and baby's breath.
  Mrs. Nancy LaDue of Cunningham Road was Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Bernice Blake, sister of the bride; Miss Debbie Ginnelly friend, Mrs. Barbara Hes, friend; and Miss Lois Scerbo sister of the groom. Amy O'Connor was flower girl.
  Mr. Richard LaDue. friend of the groom, was best man. Ushers at the ceremony were Timothy Blake, brother of the bride; Mr. Rick Durfey, friend of the groom Joseph Scerbo, brother of the groom and Paul Blake, brother of the bride. Eddie Scerbo, cousin of the groom was ring bearer.
  The bride graduated from G. Ray Bodley High School in 1970 and attended CCBI in Syracuse. The groom also graduated from G. Ray Bodley High School in 1970 and attended Oswego State for one year.
  Presently the bride is employed by Employers Insurance of Wausau, Syracuse and the groom is employed Norm Rothchild Oldsmobile-Buick.

   Flower girl was Wendy Blake, the grooms niece and ringbearer was Robert Lagowski. friend of the bride Mrs. Barbara Phelps played selections on the organ and Anne Hoffman was the soloist.
  The bride is a I973 graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School. The groom is also a graduate of G. Ray Bodley High and is employed by Container Corporation of America of Fulton. After a trip to the Pocanos the couple will reside in Fulton.

  John H. Getman a resident of Point Abino, Ont. and St. Augustine, Fla., died Sunday , (Jan. 18, 1998) om Flagler General Hospital, St. Augustine, after a brief illness. He had been an estimator for Ciminelle Construction Co., retiring in 1988. He was a long time member of the Buffalo Yacht Club, a member and past commander of the Buffalo Power Squadron and a member of the Point Abino Association. He was a past commander of the Coast Guard Auxiliary in Buffalo. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Geraldine G. of Point Abino; three daughters, Gail Mitchell of Anaheim Calif., Marjorie Laydon of Sayville, and Martha Colgrove of Cheektowaga; teo sisters, Mary Carroll of Rochester and Nancy Fontanese of East Aurora; two brothers, Peter of Evanston, Ill, and David of Kenmore; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. George Catholic Church, Crystal Beach, Ont., interment will be private.

  Ruth E. Filmer, 90, Palatine Nursing Home, Palatine Bridge, died at the nursing home, Monday morning, after a long illness. She formerly resided on Route 10 in the Town of Palatine.
  Born Dec. 17, 1896, in Corinth. she was the daughter of Frederick J. and Ida Belle Selden Eggleston. She was a housewife and a former teacher in the Palatine area many years ago. Her husband, Robert J. Filmer, died March 8. 1968. Mrs. Filmer was a member of the Stone Arabia Reformed Church.
  Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Dicks and Doris Flint, both of Canajoharie: several nieces, nephews and cousins.
  Services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, from the Lenz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego St., Canajoharie, with Rev. Devie Ellis, St. John's and St. Mark's Lutheran Church, officiating.
  No calling hours will be observed. Burial will be in Canajoharie Falls Cemetery
  Memorial contributions may be made to the Mid-County Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

  PALATINE BRIDGE — Robert J. Filmer, who celebrated his 90th birthday last month, died last night at his home. Palatine Bridge RD.
  Mr. Filmer was born Feb. 15, 1878, in Canajoharie the son of Henry and Clara Klinkhart Filmer, and had been a lifelong area resident with the exception of spending winters during recent years at Daytona Beach, Fla.
  He had been employed as a plumber at the former Christian Hardware Co. in Canajoharie and had at one time served for five yeasrs as an assitaint area superintendent for the Prudential Life Insurance Company. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Canajoharie.
  Survivors include his wife, Ruth Eggleston Filmer; two daughters, Mrs. John Dix and Mrs. Raymond Flint, both of Canajoharie; a sister, Mrs. Henry Haase, Palatine Bridge, and several nieces and nephews.
  a private service will b eheld Monday at the family home at the convience of the family, with the Rev. Theodore Hammer, pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, to officiate. Burial will be made in teh Canajoharie Falls Cemetery.
