  FULTON - Freida C. Wilcox, 77, of Dann Road, Granby, died Saturday night at Lee Memorial Hospital, Fulton, after a liong illness.
  She was born in Fulton and was a fife resident of the area.
  She was a retired school teacher, having taught on the Phoenix Centreal Schools. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a member of the Oswego county chapters of the New York State and National Retired Teachers Associations.
  She was a member of the Elizabeth Chapter 106 Order of the Wastern Star, a member of the Lee Memorial Hospital Auxilary, and the Homemaker's Home Bureau.
  She is survived by a son, J. Carl Wilcox of Fulton, two grandaughters, a great grandaughter, and sister, Rebecca Skelton of Fulton.
  Services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Presbyterian Church, Revs. Stuart Wattles and Jeffrey Knox officiating.
  Burial will be at the convience of the family in Mt. Adnah Cemetery.
  Contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund for Education at the Presbyterian Church or the David J. Wilcox Scholarship at the All-Saines Episcopal Church.
  The Foster Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

  Services for D. Ceamer Wilcox. 73, RD 3. Granby, who died Thursday at his home in Zephyrhills, Fla., were Tuesday at Foster Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Adnah Cemetery.
  Born in Fulton. Mr. Wilcox was a life resident of the area. He was a retired grocer; he had operated the store at Bowens Corners. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the Masons' Hiram Lodge 144 and Cody Volunteer Fire Department.
  Surviving we his wife, the former Freida Cochran; a son, J . Carl of Fulton; a brother, Malcolm of Fulton; two sisters, Mrs. Leila Wooding of Fulton and Mrs. Rachel Ventz of Zephyrhills; and two grandchildren.
  Contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund or to the David J . Wilcox Memorial Fund of All Saints' Episcopal Church.

  Miss Rebecca Cochran, sister of ths bride, was maid of honor, and Gerald Wilcox, brother of the groom, was best man. Following the ceremony a reception was held and a wedding breakfast served.
  The couple left on a wedding trip to New York and other points in the east and on their return will reside in Granby.

  Leon J . Skelton, 71, of 803 Utica St. died last Tuesday at Lee Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
  A life resident of Fulton, Mr. Skelton was a retired employee of the Nestle Co. and a member of the State Street United Methodist Church.
  He was a member of the New York State Archeological Association.
  Surviving are his wife, the former Rebecca Cochran; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Hargett of Baldwinsville; a son M. Sgt. Leon W. of Lompoc, Calif.; three grandchildren, and a stepsister, Mrs. Frances Burtis.
  Services were held at Foster Funeral Home, the Rev. Richard Northrup officiating.
  Burial was in Mount Adnah Cemetery.

   Grace E. Lockwood, 76, of St. Rte. 104, Oswego, passed into the presence of her Lord on Tuesday, January 18, 2005.
   Born on June 3, 1928, to Bernard and Charlene Wellwood, Grace lived in Fulton until her marriage to Fred R. Lockwood on June 5, 1949, after which the Lockwood's resided in Southwest Oswego. In 1952, while attending Southwest Oswego Baptist Church, Grace received Jesus Christ as her Saviour and was a living example of God's love to those around her. A proficient homemaker, Grace enjoyed creating an atmosphere of generous hospitality for family and friends as well as traveling to a variety of places across the country with her husband and children. Beyond her home, Grace was actively involved in teaching children's bible clubs and Sunday school, as well as a broad interest in missionary work around the world as a devoted member of the Oswego Alliance Church. After being diagnosed with cancer in 1980, God granted Grace another 24 years to serve Him; to enjoy golden years with her husband; to rejoice in her children's marriages and enjoy all of her 12 grandchildren.
  Surviving besides her husband, Fred Lockwood, of 55 years, are: a son and wife, Harold and Beth Lockwood of Fulton, NY with their four children and one son-in-law; three daughters and their husbands, Joyce E. and Chett Hobbs of Jackson, MS with their daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Gary Wilcox of Mohawk, NY with their four children, Nancy C. and Jack Hay of Knoxville, TN with their three children; a brother and his wife, James and Shirley Wellwood of Sterling, NY; as well as two sisters-in-law and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
  The family will receive those wishing to express their respects from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. Spring burial at Fairdale Rural Cemetery, Hannibal. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday at the Oswego Alliance Church, Thompson Road, Oswego. Pastor Wade Smith will officiate. Fred R Lockwood

  Fred R. Lockwood, 89, peacefully passed into the Lord's presence from St. Luke Health Services in Oswego, on February 25, 2014.
  Born on February 1, 1925 to Harold and Eva Lockwood, of Hannibal, NY, Fred graduated in the class of 1942. Drafted into the US Army in 1943, Fred landed on D-Day with the 4th Infantry on Utah Beach, earning two Bronze Stars and several other medals for heroic service in five major European campaigns, culminating with the Battle of the Bulge. Fred married Grace Wellwood on June 5, 1949 and resided in Southwest Oswego, where they raised four children and were happily married for 56 years, until Grace passed away in 2005. Fred purchased his own grocery store in Southwest Oswego (where Ontario Orchards is now) in 1949 and worked there for 11 years; worked 10 years in food service at SUNY Oswego; then worked for the county as the administrator of Michaud Nursing Home in Fulton until retiring. He enjoyed work and looked forward to each new day. Fred was active in Oswego Town government, serving as Clerk, Supervisor, and Assessor. He also served as a Trustee, then as President of the Fairdale Rural Cemetery, Hannibal. Fred is a member of Oswego Alliance Church where he has served the congregation through various ministries. Fred was active in sports since a boy, playing baseball on Hannibal's team for many years, and then playing softball on Oswego teams. In later years he enjoyed taking part in the yearly Hannibal Old-Timer's games, and umpiring softball games for Oswego leagues. While working at SUNY Oswego, Fred played and organized "pick-up" basketball games which became known as "Freddy-Ball," after their organizer. Even at age 50, it was well known that Fred could out play the younger men!
   Surviving Fred are his children, Harold (Beth) Lockwood of Fulton, NY, Joyce (Chett) Hobbs of Florence, MS, Mary Ann (Gary) Wilcox of Mohawk, NY and Nancy (Jack) Hay of Knoxville, TN; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, with three more on the way; two sisters-in-law; and a number of nieces and nephews.
  The family will receive those wishing to express their respects from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, February 28 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1 at the Oswego Alliance Church, 371 Thompson Road, Oswego with Pastor Wade Smith officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the spring at Fairdale Rural Cemetery, Hannibal.   FULTQN — Tho First Baptist church in this city was the scene of a lovely Wedding at 4:30 o'clock on Sunday afternoon, June 5, when Miss Grace E. Wellwood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Wellwood of 1219 Emery street, was married to Fred R. Lockwood, son of Mrs. Harold Lockwood and the late Mr. Lockwood of Hannibal. The Rev. Harold C. Johns, former pastor of the church, performed the double ring ceremony before an attractive setting of peonies, syringa and pine branches/
  Miss Helen Galusha of Fulton was soloist and rendered "Because" and "Til the End of Time." She was accompanied at the organ by Miss Hether Baldwin, who also played the traditional wedding marches.
  Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white satin gown fashoned with an illusion neckline edged in seed pearls. Her fingertip veil was caught to a halo of white braided satin and seed pearls nad she carried a cascade bouquet of pink roses and lillies of the valley.
  Miss Barbara Keller of R. D. 4, Fulton, was maid of honor and selected a gown of white dotted swiss worn over pale yellow taffera. Her bouquet was fashoned from pink carnations and blue delphiniums.
  Bridesmaids were the Misses Carolyn Thompson and Marilyn Thompson, both of R. d. 4, Oswego, Shirley Andres, 363 South Fourth St., and Barbara Chaffee, 1218 Emery St. They wore identical gowns of white dotted swiss over pale green taffeta and carried yellow carnations in corsage.
  The best man was Thoms D. Lockwood of R. D. 6, Oswego brothe rof the bridegroom. Ushers were Leon DiBello, Lysander; Raymond Duncan, 401 Utica St., Fulton; Harold Marshall, Martville, and James Wellwood, 1219 Emery St. Fulton, brother of the bride.
  Both the mother of the bride and the mother  of the bridegroom were attired in afternoon dresses of navy blue and wore corsages of pink roses.
  Immediately following the ceremony a reception for 100 guests was held at the home of the bride's parents which was colorfully decorated with arrangements of iris and lillies.
  Miss Mary Coleman of 213 South Sixth St., Fulton acted as cateress and was assisted in serving by friends of the bride.
 When the newlyweds left for a honeymoon trip through New England and Canada, the young matron wore a cordurey suit with white blouse and gloves, green picture hat and maching purse and shoes of green leather and an orchid corsage.
  The bridegroom is a graduate of Hannibal High school and operates a grocery store and meat market at Southwest Oswego. The happy couple will make their home in that community upon their return from the wedding trip.
  Prenuptial affairs were given in Mrs. Lockwood's honor by the Misses Shirley Andrews and Barbara Chaffee; the Misses Barbara Keller, Marilyn and Carolyn Thompson and by the teachers in the First Baptist church at the home of Mrs. Irving Galusha.

  The bride is a secretary at Christian & Missionary Alliance International Headquarters in Nyack, N. Y. She graduated from Oswego High School and Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C.
  The groom is an engineering specialist at Duracell international in Nyack, H.Y. He graduated from Willoughby South High School, Willoughby, Ohio and Nyack College, in Nyack, N.Y.

  The airman, who learned to maintain and service multi-engine jet aircraft, is being assigned to Westover AFB, Mass., for duty with a unit of the Strategic Air Command, America's nuclear deterrent force of long range bombers and intercontinental  ballistic missiles.
  Airman Ellingworth is a 1971 graduate of Paul V. Moore High School, Central Square. His wife, Sharon, is the daughter of James Wellwood of Hannibal.

  Surviving are his wife, Annette Frey Cook; two sons, Ronald and Allan, both of Baldwinsville; a brother, Howard Cook of Onondaga Hill; a sister, Lois Hough of Palermo, seven grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
  Services were Friday at Gates Funeral Home. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery.

  Annette M Cook, 91, of Baldwinsville, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2007, at James Square Health & Rehabilitation Centre, Syracuse. She was born in Syracuse and had lived in the Baldwinsville area most of her life. She was prede-ceased by her husband, Lyle R. Cook. Surviving are two sons, Ronald R. and Allan L., both of Baldwinsville; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours.
