Marie Blanche Arnold

  Marie Blanche Potter, the daughter of Casper and Pearl (Martin) Arnold, was born in Washington County, Indiana, on March 22, 1909, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on September 10, 1988, at the age of 79 years, 5 months, and 20 days.
   She moved to the Giltner area in 1914, and graduated from high school there. In 1929 she moved to the Phillips area.
   On February 5, 1934, she was united in marriage to James Potter at Central City. He preceded her in death on November 24, 1960. They lived in the Phillips area and she worked as a cook at the Phillips school, and later as a nurses aid at the Hamilton Manor in Aurora. On September 25, 1984, she entered the Hamilton Manor.
   Marie was a member of the Phillips United Methodist Church, and belonged to the Phillips Chapter of the Eastern Star.
   She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother John, and one daughter Shirley Marie on September 27, 1958.
   Those who remain to cherish her memory are 2 brothers, Bruce Arnold of Aurora and Kermit Arnold of Lewellen; 3 sisters, Mary Scott of Fresno, California, Wilma Otto of Phillips and Ruth Rogers of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and nieces and nephews.

  OMAHA — Norma “Teddy” (Hehnke) Kirkpatrick, 93, of Omaha died Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at Brighton Gardens Assisted Living in Omaha.
  Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, 216 S. 34th St., in Omaha. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Phillips Cemetery at Phillips. A reception will follow the burial.
  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bethany Funeral Home, 8201 Harrison St., in LaVista.
  Survivors of the immediate family include children, Linda Hooker, Janice Kirkpatrick, Donna (Jay) Federico, Bill (Michelle) Kirkpatrick and Bob (Carla) Kirkpatrick; 14 grandchildren; 16 great–grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
  She was preceded in death by her husband, James; grandson, James Hooker; two sisters; and son-in-law, Max Hooker.
