Kermit G. Vroman, 55, of 8 Chestnut Hill South, Loudonville, died Monday at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a long illness.
A native of Middleburgh, Mr. Vroman was graduated from Albany Business College. He had been a certified public accountant with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. more than 30 years.
Mr. Vroman served with the Army in World War 2. He was a member of Middleburgh Lodge Lodge 663, F&AM. and First Lutheran Church of Albany.
Surviving are his wife, the former Ellen White, his mother, Mrs. Emmett B. Vroman, Schenectady; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Schempp and Laura E. Vroman: both of Schenectady, and two brothers, Howard B Vroman, Corinth, and Kenneth C. Vroman of Lakewood, Ohio.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Tebbutt Chapel. 12 Colvin Avenue, with the Rev. Morris C. Skinner, pastor of First Lutheran Church, officiating.Why are he and his wife included on the Mallory cemetery stone? [WG]

Funeral services were held this afternoon at his home at 7211 Shore Road, Brooklyn, for James Stewart Lawson, an attorney, who was an authority on the law of real property and of decedents' estates.
Mr. Lawson, who also was a former banker, died of a heart attack on Tuesday at his home. He was
63 years old.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Edna Cram Lawson; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Ducley and Mrs. Helen Longacre, and three sons, Ralph Lawson, Donald Lawson and Norman Lawson.
Mr. Lawaon was born in Brooklyn, the son of the late Jacob and Anne Collins Lawson, He was graduated from Amherst College in 1895, studied law at the New York Law School and was admitted to the bar in 1897.
He owns and represented real estate interests in Jamaca and other sections of the city and played an importani role in the development of part of the section north of Hillside Avenue, Jamaca, known as Prospect Hill.
For many years Mr. Lawson had been chariman of the advisory board of the Bay Ridge branch of the Brooklyn Trust Company. Ill health necessitated his retirement form this position several years ago. Funds for the construction of Victory Memorial Hospital were raied partially through his efforts, and later he gave much of his time and attention to the organization and completion of the hospital.
Mr. Lawson was a past master of Long Island Lodge 382 F. and A. M. and had been district deputy grand master of the Third Masonic distric.
His clubs included the Crescent-Hamilton Athletic, the Richmond County Country and the North Hills Golf.

Mr. Lawson is an alumnus of Poly Prep Country Day School, Amherst College and Brooklyn Law School of St. Lawrence University.
After a trip to Bermuda, Mr. and Mrs. Lawson will live at 52 Clark St.

Chaumont Sept. 9 - Homer Horton of Chicago and Miss Minnie Ryder Getman, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. A. A. Getman, were married at the home of the bride's parents, Tuesday morning. Rev. Emery J. Evans, pastor of the Presbyterian church, performing the ceremony, the ring marriege being used. Miss Ruth Potine [?] of East Windsor, Iowa [?] was maid of honor, and Robert Wetmote [?] of Minneapolis was best man.
The bride wore plain white taffeta silk with veil and orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses, lillies of the valley and maiden hair fern. The bridesmaid carried pale yellow chrysanthemums and maiden hair fern. The bride entered the room on the arm of her father. The wedding march from Lohengrin was played by Mrs. William B. Getman.
After the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served. Pictureds of the bridal party were taken and Mr. and Mrs. Horton left in an automobile on their wedding journey. The brides traveling gown and hat were of green.
There were many gifts of silver, gold, china and linen, besides rare and unique curios collected in foreign lands.
