  St Johnsville — Mrs. Edna Powell, 80, of 41 W. Main St., widow of Randall T. Powell, died yesterday in the VanAllen Nursing Home, Little Falls.
  She was born here, daughter of Jacob and Fannie Hough Sanders. A life-long resident, she was a member of Grace Congregational Christian Church and its Women's Fellowship. Her husband died in 1944.
   She leaves a son, G. Wallace Powell, St. Johnsville.
  The funeral will be at 2 Saturday from the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. L. H. Faribanks, Grace Church pastor, officiating. Burial will be in West St. Johnsville Cemetery.

  Randall Powell, 70, of 27 William Street, St Johnsvllle, who entered the Amsterdam City Hospital Monday, December 11, died there at 9:40 o'clock last night.

  ST. JOHNSVILLE - Randall T. Powell, 70, of 27 William Street, a retired plumber and tinsmith, died Thursday evening in the Amsterdam City Hospital, to which he had been confined since Monday. He had been In i11 health for some time and a number of months ago was obliged to relinquish work.
  Mr. Powell was born in Plymouth, N. Y., on March 17, 1874, a son of Wallace and Ella Williams Powell. He came to St. Johnsville 37 years ago last month and 32 years ago was married here to Miss Edna Sanders.
  For many years Mr. Powell was employed by the St. Johnsville Hardware Company. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge here.
  Survinging are his wife; one son, G. Wallace Powell, Oreland, Pa. and two grandchildren; also two sisters, Mrs. Mary Butts, Norwich, N.Y., and Mrs. Merton Brown, this village.
  The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Smith funeral home. The Rev. Roland C. Updike, pastor of Grace Congregational Christian Church officiated, and burial was in West St. Johnsville Cemetery.

  Mrs. Powell is a daughter of Jacob Sanders and the late Mrs. Fannie Hough Sanders. She and Mr. Powell were married on October 27, 1911 at her parents' home on North Division street, here, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. Henry H. McCrone, then pastor of the Grace Christian church of this village, in the presence of the immediate families.
  Mr. Powell is a local plumber. The couple received numerous congratulations on the occasion of their silver anniversary. They have one son, Wallace.

  Gordon A. Hough, 64, of 21 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, a practicing attorney in St. Johnsville and Waterloo, N.Y., for many years, died Tuesday in Little Falls Hospital, after a long illness. He had not been active in his profession for some years.
  Hough was born in St. Johnsville, June 30, 1907, the son of Norman and Elizabeth Lindsley Hough.
  He attended and was graduated from high school in Rochester, N.Y.; was a graduate of St. Lawrence University, Canton, and Union College, Schenectady, and also was graduated from Albany Law School. He was a member of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity.
  Hough practiced law in St. Johnsville for a while, then practiced in Waterloo from 1938 to 1953, and resumed practice in St. Johnsville until he became ill. He was a former member of the Montgomery County Bar Assn.
  He was married to Helen Perry of St. Johnsville in Whitefield, N.H., on June 2,
1938.
   He is survived by his wife, in St. Johnsville; one son, Gordon D. Hough in Texas, one daughter, Joan, in Herkimer; and several grandchildren.
  The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the H.C. Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Thurman B. Beavers, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Canajoharie, officiating. Burial will be in St. Johnsville Cemetery.
  Calling hours at the funeral home are this evening, and Friday afternoon and evening.

  Herkimer. Aug. 4 — Miss Evelyn May Perry and Gordon A. Hough of this village were married Saturday at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Perry, 207 Margaret Street. Rev. George F. Shepherd. D. D., head of the Mohawk Valley Methodist episcopal Conference and former pastor of the local Methodist Church performed the ceremony.
  The attending couple was Miss Helen G. Roemer of Utica and Preston Clark of New Hartford.
  The bride attended the Herkimer High School and the Utlca Memorial Hospital as a student nurse. The groom attended St. Lawrence University-for a year and a half and now has a year to his credit in Albany Law School. While at St. Lawrence he was a member of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity, a member of the baseball and wrestling squads. He is also a member of the De Molay Chapter at Rochester where he sttended high school. Mr. Hough is the son of Mrs. William Lyons, West German Street, and the late Norman Francis Hough.
  The couple left for a honeymoon in Canada and points of interest in this state. While in Canada they will be guests at a reception at the home of Mrs. K. W. Haney of Woodstock, Ontario. After August 16 the bride and groom will be at the home of the groom's mother, West German Street. Mr. Hough will return to Albany Law School this fall.

  HERKIMER - Frank F. Folts, 83, of 4W Henry St., father of Herkimer County Sheriff Richard W. Folts and a retired automobile dealer, died Wednesday in Herkimer Memorial Hospital.
  Mr. Folts, in partnership with Linus E. Lanning, operated the Lanning & Folts automobile agency in Herkimer from 1920 until several years ago when Mr. Folts retired.
  The business was founded in the Ertman Building and later expanded to relocate in a new building next to the Herkimer Library on N Main Street. The building now is occupied by the State Conservation Department.
  Mr. Folts was bom in Racine, Wis., and came to Herkimer in 1910. Four years later in Herkimer he married Grace Lloyd. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Herkimer Lodge, F&AM. and for many years was active in its bowling league.
  Besides his wife and son, he leaves another son. Lt. Col. (retired) John L. Folts, Hyattesville, Md.; and a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Brown, Richfield Springs.
  Private funeral services will be tomorrow at the convenience of the family from the Fenner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling hours are from 7 to 9 tonight.

  Miss Elizabeth Oates Bond, daughter of Mr. and Mrs William Lumston Bond, Schenectady, and Aviation Cadet Donald Mackie, AAF, son of Mrs. Marion McGinlcy Mackie, Princeton, N. J., and Capt. Norman S. Mackie, AAF, were married Saturday night in the chapel of the Little Church Around the Corner, New York City. The Rev. Randolph Ray officiated.
  Mr. Bond gave his daughter in marriage She wore pale ivory satin with tight bodice, long sleeves and a full shirred skirt which formed a train. Her veil was fastened to a coronet of rosepoint lace and she carried a Bible with shower of orchids and stephanotis. Mrs. John Kennedy Shearer, Waterbury, Conn., sister of the bride, was matron of honor and wore blue Jersey with flowers in her hair and carried pink and blue delphinium.
  Lt. Norman Mackie Jr., USNR, brother of the bridegroom, was best man and ushers were Pfc. Marvin M. Gray, New York City; Ensign Raymond Dykema, USNR; Lt. David Ross. USMC, Grosse Point, Mien.; Ensign Chester Rice, Schenectady, and Dr. John Kennedy Shearer, Waterbury, Conn.
  A reception at 3 West 51st St. followed.
  The bride is a graduate of St. Agnes School and Barnard College and made her debut at the Bachelors' Cotillon, Baltimore, New Years Eve, 1942.
  Cadet Mackie is a graduate of the Brooks and Hotchkiss Schools and attended Princeton. He was graduated from the Roosevelt Aviation School before entering the Army in October.
