Spencerville
HELEN E. WISHER, 81, died Sept. 17,1998, at her residence.
She was born June 12, 1917, in Spencerville to William W. and Daisy B. Rupert Rider. On June 16, 1946, she married David V. Wisher, who also died Sept. 17, 1998.
Mrs. Wisher retired in 1972 as a teacher for Spencerville Schools, where she taught fifth grade for 35 years. She was a 70-year member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Spencerville. In 1935 she be- came a member of Spencerville Chapter 130 Order of Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Matron in 1945. She was a long-time member of Spencerville Library Board. She was a 1935 graduate of Spencerville High School, where she was salutatorian, and a 1942 graduate of Ohio Northern University with a bachelor of science in education. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Homer, Rupert and Kenneth Rider,, and a sister, Heloise Kephart.
Joint graveside services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Spencerville Cemetery. The Revs. John G. Medaugh and Ron Hennen will officiate.
There will he no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or Spencerville Library Building Fund.
Arrangements are by Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville.

SPENCERVILLE
DAVID V. WISHER, 85, died Sept. 17, 1998, at his residence. He was born Jan. 19, 1913, in Spencer Township to Charles E. and Flora B. Wolford Wisher. On June l6, 1946, he married Helen E. Rider, who also died Sept. 17, 1998.
Mr. Wisher retired in 1973 as a machinist for Buckeye Pipeline Co. after 36 years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Spencerville. He was a 50-year member of Acadia Lodge 306, Free and Accepted Masons and a member of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54 and National Rifle Association. He was a life member of Northwestern Ohio Field and Stream Association since 1931, Bowersock Brothers Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 6772 and Harry J. Reynolds American Legion Post 191, both of Spencerville. He was a World War 11 Army veteran, serving as master sergeant in Africa, Corsica, France and Germany.
Survivors include a brother, Ray A. Wisher of Toledo; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, George W., Thomas 0. and Ora Wisher; and three sisters, Katherine A. Wisher, Edna Tone and Zelma Davies.
Joint graveside services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Spencerville Cemetery. The Revs. John G. Medaugh and Ron Hennen will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by the VFW and American Legion. There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or Spencerville Library Building Fund.

St. Marys
ROBERT PAUL MITCHELL, 85, of Ashland, formerly of St. Marys, died Dec. 8, 2003, at Samaritan Regional Health System Hospital.
He was born March 4, 1918, in Spencerville to Robert and Gladys Moorman Mitchell, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 11, 1945, he married Mary Doughty, who survives.
Mr. Mitchell was a chemical engineer for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. working six years in Ashland and 25 years in St. Marys. He had been a member of St. Marys Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Church of Savannah. He was a member of American Legion Post 88. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving with the chemical division. He had been a resident of Ashland County since 1970 and a resident of Lutheran Village for a year and a half.
Survivors also include a sister, Ruth Browning of Sun City, Ariz.; a stepbrother, Kenneth Mitchell; and a stepsister, Mary Davenport.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Heyl Funeral Home, Ashland. The Rev. Richard Wallace will officiate. Burial will be in Ashland County Memorial Park, with military rites by the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
Friends may call one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
