Merle Dykeman

 -  Merle fell from an upstairs window and died from a crushed skull. Three other children were born after Merle's death. There is not a father's name listed on any of these children's birth certificates I have been told. I know for a fact that there is not a father's name listed on my father's birth certificate.
Before the oldest son Uncle Howard died, I was able to talk to him briefly on the phone. He left New York after my father's wedding in 1958 and was never heard from again until my Uncle David found him in 2000. He left after a big fight with my grandmother (Gladys Elizabeth Miller). He would not tell me what happened, but I asked him if he knew who my dad's father was. He then explained it was Merle's father Ray Dykeman. He said Ray was the father of the last three children born. Gram would never verify or deny this information. Like I said she would not talk about anyone in the family on either side.
